    Update: August 1, 2011 Blockade ability boosted and Asteroid Belts, Space Junk, and Comet Clouds now have 1/3rd of a chance of spawning in a WeightedRandom group, with respects to it's earlier counts. This was done as for some reason there tended to be 2+ belts per system, which goes against the intended purpose of these which is to be something that is few in number and thus extremely valuable.

  5. Thing is your first post isn't exactly correct, starfighter speeds are correct for one. For two, we aren't being 100% exact with stats, especially fighters, due to gameplay purposes.
  6. The problem with using that as a base is that fighters are small, so small that you have to zoom in a lot to see them. As such, you cannot see much more than the fighter itself. Due the scaling of SoGE, there is no realistic way to measure the firing range and speed of fighters ingame.
  7. I know what the Tector looks like, thanks. How can you have more variety in models when you have explicitly said you aren't for changing models? This makes little sense in regards to Sins as ships move in three dimensions. With an overhead view, two ships of the different sizes but virtually identical models can appear to be the exact same thing, even if they aren't.
  8. Erm, I believe you are basing your opinion on the mainview icon, and not the fighters themselves. I saw this as their firing range is in fact small, at 3000. They also are at a good speed, they are not much faster than the max speed of capital ships/cruisers/frigates. The latter three have the same max speed, what makes them different is their acceleration. Fighters are at, or just under, twice as fast as other ships, which makes sense. For example, the ISD-II has a MGLT/hour rating of 60, while the X-Wing has one of 100.
  9. I actually fixed up the sizing and have it ingame, blacked out/disabled version included. Will look at the new one you posted though.
  10. We don't have a model for the Tector, and the ISD I/II do look the same canonly speaking. The ISD Command really is just an ISD II with a commander/admiral, and as such shouldn't have a different model.

  12. Providence, it's the best capital imo. ...It still does need some nerfing.
  13. CIS. Great balance of offense and defense, though they have the worst frigate selection of all the factions by far.
  14. I believe this is intentional. Though, projectiles really are just for show in Sins, you can fire a slavo of 10 Turbolaser shots, or just one, from a single hardpoint and (assuming the DamagePerBank is equal), they will do the same damage.

    There was a "Get Diplomacy!" string, but no "Play Diplomacy!" Ahh, I see.
  16. You're fiddling with tiny little droids that can make life hell for other ships. Lot of laugh, I know what a Buzz Droïd is, I just need to know which tga/dds I need to add the icon upon... Oh, derp. Hrm. I don't actually know. However... I do know that you can sent it to me in it's own tga/dds file, and I can code the HUDICON to be called from that file. So just sent it to me on it's own. The HUDICON used for abilities and those for ships are the same size, so you could use one of those as a base/for sizing.

    Update: July 25, 2011 Vong Scout Ship now has Missile Slavo ability, and Vong now has WMD research as it should.

  20. Noticed this as well; I believe it has to do with moving the turret defense meshes to the SoGE folder, which allows the game to call them from there versus the game folder itself. I will investigate this further, and possibly do the same for other structures, as it may further aid load times. That or downsizing the Vong station somehow has a massive effect, which I highly doubt.
  21. As for the Buzz Droids, if any of these pictures help, please do make an icon. As for the latter, it's for a map I made awhile ago, but keep forgetting to add to the SVN. >< I'll actually get to it this week; assuming I can find it.
  22. The Acclamator has had little presence in Empire literature besides EaW (which is a joke and useless POS which is ignorable at best) and some comics. The Vindicator has had only two major appearances period, with one of them being one of the Battlefront games. I absolutely fail to see why these two ships are essential to the Empire. As for the Victory SD, the Empire doesn't need it, from a gameplay perspective, and it gives the factions more variety. As such, the answer to the inclusion of these ships into the Empire is a resounding no, and will not be changed.

    There actually is a Play Diplomacy string. Or at least, there has been in the past. It hasn't ever seemed to have helped much though. :v
  24. This one is due to the Ship Graveyard abilities; this will go away once we upgrade to Diplomacy. It shows up on load if ShowErrors is enabled on the normal exe. As for the others, I've noticed them too, also getting a ton of Exhaust errors and ArrayList crap. The Exhaust one is a particular nuisance, I believe it is due to ships either not having an exhaust detail/particles, or having flawed ones, I believe it is the former.
