  1. To be fair, as the icon in question lists it's effect as being antimatter related, and it's icons being antimatter icons, I dare say you're being a bit silly when you say you have no clue which icon does which. That being said I've tracked this down and fixed it.

Update: September 11, 2012 | Revision: 927 Added Vong health research, fixed antimatter SB upgrade.
  3. Arg I thought I had fixed that Vong MD before uploading... Will fix. Edit: Yeah it was a simple error. Uploaded fixed file.
  4. Probably a description error. Can you give me a picture? That will make it easier for me to track it down/fix it. And yeah, the NR/Imp Golans are the same outside of HUD icons and squads, so it should occur with both Golans.
  5. 1) Yeah, certain nVidia cards for some reason do not like to work well with Sins, causing anything from what you described, to inexplicable MDs. Chim has sent me saves where he was MDing at a certain point, but I couldn't reproduce it on my ATI card. 3) I moved them over a bit more in the latest revision. Can you still see them? 4) Ah, I looked at the Imp's Golan. Will check the NR's later. 7) Torpedo Volley is only supposed to fire when there's at least one target in range; I'll look into this one after the others.

Update: September 11, 2012 | Revision: 925 Fixed orbital ion cannon mistakenly targeting Supercaps, and welcome back the Vong. The Scout Ship still needs to go through it's capital conversion, and the capital statcounttypes need to be changed up, but otherwise they are pretty much done. The Vong ships will basically be dead after they lose their shields; I have a better system than the current one in mind, but this will do for now. (R921) Converted Scout Ship, fixed up Vong capital ship statcounttypes. (R922) Fixed minidump issue caused by Scout Ship, flak burst/fast tracking/blister burst will now one shot all fighters/bombers regardless of tech, as they should. (R925)
  7. #1 Ships adapting total coloration. I need a list. Though the Consular shouldn't have this, I'll look into it. Edit: Do you happen to be on an nVidia GPU? If so, that might be the reason this is happening, update your drivers. #2 "Titans" and their production. As I said, this must be set up in it's current fashion for two reasons: 1) It gets around Stardock/Ironclad's Titan system, which limits factions to 1 Titan and rebuilds that single Titan with all it's XP after death. Can you imagine how horribly unbalanced it would be to have a Viscount rebuild at level 10 after you killed it? Or that say the CIS would be limited to a single Geo SDN while the Imperials have an Executor? 2) It must be set on autocast by default otherwise the AI will never get supercaps. You can toggle off autocast yourself if you desire so. The random point you mention occurs due to how the buff in question works, it cannot be changed. #3 Research Icons being awkward Seen it. Those icons are intentionally very far off; they are there as they are the AI-only techs I've mentioned in the past. I don't think I can move them any further than their current position without causing MDs but I will try. #4 Golan Volley Fire. It's probably me having done something stupid. Edit: I'm not seeing this on my version. Picture please? #7 New Republic Mediator Capital Ability "Torpedo Volley" bug The Mediator doesn't have that ability. Do you mean Siege Torpedoes? As that ability has a huge range; it might be targeting something you can't see. Supercaps should not be targetable by the planetary ion cannon, which totally disables it. I see that I accidentally put Titans in it's target filter, thank you for pointing out this awful bug. Also, in regards to the particles, I've been noticing it as well, it isn't just you. Odds are it was an engine issue that SD/IC solved themselves in 1.04.
  8. Missed the Volley Fire bit; will look into that as well.

The paging file lets Sins use up a proper 2 GB of RAM, you don't have to set it up manually either; Windows can automatically manage it. Though if Steam isn't giving you trouble, and the game's MP is working fine for you, then I shall cease my rambling as it's irrelevant. I just found personally that Sins was minidumping before it hit 2GB of RAM use, until I enabled the paging file for that partition, at which point Sins was using up to 2 GB as it should.

You really should enabled paging files; this is done by default on your boot partition and there's nothing to "set up" you just check off a box in your systems settings to enable it, there's absolutely nothing wrong with having one. I do not recommend using LAA as that will ensure you can never play online except via Hamachi, due to Steam, the thread you linked to was primarily for Entrenchment which had less restrictions due to it being on Impulse.
  12. Bolded is myself replying.
  13. The newest map pack has been added to the SVN.

Update: September 9, 2012 | Revision: 919 This isn't the big Vong patch I've been planning. What it does is add diplomacy techs based off of the TEC loyalists, and racial relations, credit goes out to zoommooz for getting this done! It also adds in Snowba11's new maps, 1.04's Huge Ring Random, and some balance changes: Executor SDN's hull decreased, shields increased, Viscount's cost and lasers' strength increased, and re-did the shield and hull restore rate for all >8000 shielding and >4150 hull ships, respectfully, to better reflect their stats. If you've ever wondered if it took your supercaps proportionally longer to recharge their shields, you weren't wrong; the values up until now were extremely skewered towards <8001 shielding ships. The Vong are still broken by the way.

You make sure that the HDD/partition Rebellion is on has a proper paging file? I was suffering of the same thing, as Impluse and Steam are on different partitions, until I saw the latter's partition lacked a paging file. Enabling one fixed my random crashes. I play without LAA.

I have no idea what could be causing such a crash; I've never heard anything along those lines happen ever. That sounds like something related to a failing GPU or other hardware issue, I think. Does it happen regardless of what factions are on, or at a specific point in gameplay?

They can be, but as you said, they will get whipped pretty hard.

Update: September 4, 2012 | Revision: 918 Clone Fleet ability fixed, Vong ships will no longer kill themselves (faction is still being worked on), added new constructor mesh.
  20. You can find those in the English.str file in the String folder, under the string IDs styled: IDS_CAPITALSHIPNAME_RACE##.
  21. Mantis is broken atm, just post issues on the forums.
  22. Not sure what name lists you're referring to. Could you clarify what you mean? The only factions in SoGE are the Galactic Empire (Empire), the Alliance to Restore the Republic, aka. the Rebel Alliance (Alliance), the Galactic Republic of the Clone Wars (Republic), the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), the New Republic, and the Yuuzhan Vong Empire (Vong).
  23. Fix the NR issue. One of it's files retained a line it shouldn't have during the capital conversion project.

Update: September 3, 2012 | Revision: 917 Fixed issue where loading the NR was causing a crash on boot. Issue was with the Battle Dragon having a line it shouldn't have had. Fixed some other small issues as well.
