Hmmm...I'm at work and can't test that. Can you open a Rebellion .dll from Windows Explorer and see what it does? I've never tried to open a .dll any other way. I tried doing it here on a .dll (not related to a game) and it didn't allow me to do anything...

How much did it cost? Just curious as to the cost in UK....

Everyone should take a half-hour or so and explore all the .dll files with Resource Hacker. It's fun just to see all the bitmaps and hear all the .wav files. BTW, I've never heard the "Attack on the Death Star" waves before...I guess because the AI has never bothered building a DS before. I think I'll pull them out and put them on my website, just for kicks...

Pucho, No need to be rude, dude. I understand what you're getting at...but you can do that right now, with Rebellion. Just save before you send a fleet to a system and if you get there and you can't win the battle, just re-load from before you left. Not exactly an ethical solution, but it prevents ever losing a battle...which is what I'm assuming you want to do. Most of the rest of us just don't understand why you would want to play the game that way.

Will the "crew" experience also apply to fighter squadrons? It would really be nice to have experienced X-Wing squadrons (such as the Rogues).

How about Trials of the New Republic? But I still like Rebellion Reloaded.

Actually, I like Yoda Stories, too. I just think the graphics/sound/gameplay ranks about as high as playing checkers with your younger brother. It's a good diversion when you're tired of everything else, though.

Hmmm...I don't know if I would want a 'special' rank. Actually, I thought you guys could increase the post count manually to increase rank (not that anyone would deserve that). Except for maybe Venix, the rankless one.

1) There is no rank insignia for "Dark Lord of the Sith". All rank insignias used to be stars, until they were upgraded to Imperial rank insignias. 2) If you beg enough to Evaders or Igor, they may give you a higher rank... Actually, the ranks don't really mean anything (unless you're role-playing).

Elvis: All members of this site are deranged psychos...we just aren't violent. The upgrading facilities idea is a very good one. Many of the "explore, build, conquer" games use that, but I guess Rebellion came out before that became popular.

That was a common problem mentioned on the semi-old boards. It seems ME is not a Star Wars fan... By the way, laptops don't seem to care much for Rebellion, either. We never figured out what the problem was, or what to do to fix it. Sorry.

I would add: Baldur's Gate Wing Commander: Eye of the Tiger (the one with Mark Hamill) Might & Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer Yoda Stories (HAHAHAHAHAHA!!...sorry...just kidding)
