  2. I know that we can unlock the venator, but, is there anyway to unlock other things, like the AT-AP? Do units like that even have their models?

  4. This could certainly help a lot. I was gonna use the one on Wookiepedia but I think these may be bigger. This could make some pretty interesting campaigns in the full version, especially if some artistically inclined modders made Ssi-ruuk or Yuuzhan Vong units (for invader-type people) or maybe Clone Wars or Sith Wars conversions. *Shadowtrooper runs off to expand his galactic map*

  6. Well, this is my first mod, so it's not all that great, but it's something at least. This mod makes a new Venator-class Star Destroyer called the Absolution. It features enhanced armor/shields, power to weapons, and the proton beam (it's supposed to be an SPHA-T turbolaser beam). Since it's a carrier, it also has a number of V-wing and TIE bomber squadrons it can launch. It can't be built so you'll have to add it to your single player campaign file. Also, if you don't want to overwrite your existing xml files (not the dat file though), you can use the "add-on" text file I included. I've noticed that the tag points to the txt files with ship names (ie: "Avenger"), but when I try to add this tag to a ship that didn't originally have it (of course pointing it to my new "Venator_Destroyer.txt") it doesn't work. Anyone know how to make it work? And one more thing, the text that comes up when you hover you cursor over an object...how does one alter that? The name, class, description, all of that. Sorry for all the questions, just hopin' to try something.
  8. How'd you get Home One to launch fighters? I know there are the and lines, but that alone doesn't seem to make fighters actually spawn.
  9. Maybe I should be more specific. I'm looking to make the Venator capable of launching V-Wings. I thought adding the launch bay might help. The V-wing "spawn" code is in there, but none launch.
  10. So if I want to add a fighter bay to a vessel, just copy one from a ship of the same class and affix it to the hagarless ship with the change to the ship name that's attached to each hardpoint string?

  12. Perhaps this is just on my end, but the download link you provided takes me to a page within the forums that says: "An Error Has Occurred! You are not allowed to access this section" Is there another place I can download it?
  13. Is there anyway at all to alter/change the hardpoints on a vessel? ??? I aready know that just adding it in the ship's xml script doesn't do it...
  14. I'm not entirely sure, but it looks like the "Victory_Destroyer_No_Fighters" is just the basic info for all VicStars, you know, just without fighters (as if that wasn't obvious enough : ). The other Victory entry only has a small amount of info (the fighter compliment), no build info, no speed, power, or health. I guess it's kinda like the "Generic_Star_Destroyer" code.

  16. Hi, all. In order to mess with the Venator, I've been heard to look for a line containing "Jedi_Cruiser" in spaceunitsfrigates.xml--problem is, I can't find it anywhere in there. I'm running the Empire Mod V1.2 which has the Venator enabled, so I'm not sure why I can't find it. Can anyone help?
