  1. Maybe we should just make a huge list, collecting virtual signatures of people who support the cause. This would probably have more success than simple mail-spamming. The guys at LucasArts or Petro (who could forward this to LA) would surely more interested in this than countless e-mails from some individuals who just lead to deletion without even reading the stuff.
  2. Also you need to realize that every single person in this forum probably has his/her own ideas of what should be in THE ONE mod and what should better be left out.
  3. *sigh* Oh, how I hate rapidshare. Maybe you and the other people should start uploading their files at some place where people can actually access them. yousendit.com for example - it lets you upload stuff with file-sizes up to 1 GB and then presents you with a link you can send around to people. The file stays there downloadable for anybody without any waiting time for about 7 days before it automatically gets deleted. (I would have watched your video, but was unable to download it)
  4. When you have removed the ISD II, Does that mean the rebels now have the most powerful capital ship (MC80)? Any chances you might soon eliminate the problems that have lead you to remove the new ships?
  5. Maybe LucasArts told Petro to remove Diplomacy and Repair because they wanted a game for the unaspiring huge masses of kids that want to play a game as fast as possible, with as many quick battles as possible, without the need to take care of diplomacy and unit repair. The kind of people you can often see on the LucasArts forums, ranting and whining about the most ridiculous stuff. If they put it back in with a later expansion I'll be happy, though.
  6. Just a side note - you're referring to the Royal Guards. Imperial Guards are the ones responsible for keeping the peace on urbanized Core Worlds (also known as Coruscant Guards if they're deployed on Imperial Center). Other than that I'll keep an eye on this thread. Having the heroes bring some henchmen with them is a great idea. A few normal Stormtroopers as escort for Vader and Mara would be cool, too. Good luck with your idea.
  7. Oh wait a sec! I have mis-interpreted your posting and thought that you meant that these black Stormtroopers are a new unit. Sorry about that. Indeed they do 'only' replace the standard Stormtrooper unit, but I thought it would be nice to post them here anyways, since people were asking for Blackhole Troopers.
  8. Hmm, yes. I'd just want to have them with the fitting name and description. Though maybe I could do that on my own. I'll give it a try.
  9. They are? Strange, in my game these are the only Stormtroopers I can build. ???
  10. I'd be satisfied with standard stormtrooper armor, too. Maybe you can give us a description on how you did it, then I'd try it myself. I just don't have the time finding it out on my own yet (though I definitely want to try a little modding - at the latest when Petro releases their editors).
  11. I have just checked out a mod that has been released on www.eawhq.de even prior before the full game came out (I guess that one was the first reskin ever, then). It was intended to work with the demo but runs perfectly with the gold version, too. It gives the imperial infantry black armor, just like Blackhole Troopers wear it. Looks especially nice with red shoulder markings in multiplayer - although arms and legs are a little too dark the helmet and breast plate just look cool. http://img468.imageshack.us/img468/963/eawblackhole18sh.jpg http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/6505/eawblackhole24ra.jpg Here's the direct link for the file: http://www.eawhq.de/index.php?content=downloads&dl_id=12
  12. That's a nice idea! The Scout Troopers look more like Swamp Troopers than Stormtroopers do, imho. Also, this would further increase the 'unique visuals' of the units - rather than having 487623 dífferent-colored Stormtrooper units. Although I still have the Guards and Blackhole Troopers on my wishlist.
  13. Wow, this is cool. Would you mind adding the Imperial Guard, too? I'm talking about the "Coruscant Guard", not the Royal Guard guys. I just don't like the "Coruscant", since they are also deployed on other urbanized worlds besides Imperial Center. I guess they'd look pretty much like your Magma Troopers (just check my avatar), aside from their name and the description, but maybe it's possible to add some special weapons. Scriptwise it would be great to not make them buildable, but rather let them spawn in the barracks of some urbanized planets (like Corulag, for example) - though I do not know if this is possible. Another thing that would be nice to have are the black-armored special ops troopers from Imperial Intelligence. If I remember correctly they were nicknamed Blackhole Troopers, in reference to the codename of the Intel guy they were working for. By the way - as for your Swamp Troopers ... is it somehow possible to remove that glossy effect from the armor? I'm sure it would look more like a camouflage, then.
  14. I thought the Z-95 was from the time she worked for Karrde? I don't see why the Empire would equip one of the Hands with a heavily outdated starfighter. For some undercover ops maybe, but surely not as a personal transport. But if you have any sources I'd be happy to be corrected. After all, no one ever stops learning.
  15. I could imagine it as Mara Jade's transport. Just needs one or two nice special features ('power to engines' + 'concentrate firepower' (as a sort of battle meditation force skill, like Palpatine and C'baoth used it)?) ...
  16. I guess because the SSD is a Command Ship. It's the perfect flagship for any imperial armada and I know if it would be possible I would build one to fulfill exactly this role. The rebels have the Home One. The Empire has the Accuser, but this ship is 'only' a modified ISD. I don't know how the others feel about this but I would like to have something optical-unique to add to my forces. Plus, the SSD just looks damn stylish. I remember those good old days when I've been playing Rebellion - I re-created the whole imperial Sector-Fleet protocol, 12 Star Destroyers accompanied by an SSD. =)
  17. I thought all Grand Admirals were Warlords? At least the Wookiepedia article about this rank says this, and I know I've read this elsewhere, too. http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Warlord
  18. Exactly. Though the Prophet/Intel-controlled "Church of the Dark Side", that rose to an official religion within the Imperial Remnant after the Emperor's Death was quite popular. Seems like a lot of people in the galaxy don't care if you follow the Dark Side or not, as long as you leave them alone or - even better - strengthen their morale. By the way, don't mix up Dark Jedi and Sith. I know of only four Sith that were known around during the Galactic Civil War (Palpatine, Vader, Shira Brie/Lumiya and Seth). However, you might want to take a look at a hidden planet called Thule. A whole world controlled by the old KotOR-era Sith-Empire military forces during the Galactic Civil War, as if time has frozen there. Might be interesting for your mod.
  19. The SSD as it exists in the Star Wars universe is mainly a prestige object that is able to release a horrible amount of destruction upon enemy capital ships. But like the Death Star it lacks proper defenses against smaller, faster craft like - yes, you guessed it - starfighters. Thus, I'm pretty sure whilst an SSD in EaW would be almost unstoppable against rebel capital ships it would have trouble shooting down squadrons of Y-Wings taking out it's hard points one by one. I fail to see how this should unbalance the game. If people succeed in implementing a working SSD into EaW I'm more than eager to give it a try. The only problems I see so far are movement and scale. However, I think it would be okay if the SSD is just three times the size of an ISD. After all, it's not like EaW keeps realistic scales, anyways. All of the ships have the wrong size to make the game more playable. I can live with that as long as it does not look TOO obvious.
  20. Mhmm, "Duel of the Grand Admirals"? But I guess that one is too long. I have to say, I'd still favor "EaW: Warlords". It's short and simple, and perfectly describes the mod's content. If you name it "Grand Admirals" people might think the mod will include all GAdm's. Hm ... or how about "EaW: Thrawn's Pincer"? Would be a nice innuendo towards both Thrawn's Interdictor-based tactic (which had been given this name) as well as his campaign against Zaarin. By the way, Harkov was "only" an Admiral, not Grand Admiral.
  21. Will you include the Strike Cruiser, too? Thats the one unit I'd like to see most in EaW, even more than the SSD. You could even offer the player some different versions of one and the same hull, considering that the Strike-class was known for its ability to be easily adapted for any mission objective. So there could be one variant for anti-starfighter combat, one for anti-capship combat, one as a carrier ... Too bad it seems impossible in EaW to modify a single ship between it's missions.
  22. If it's a Black Sun heroine, it most probably would be Guri.
  23. Wow, thanks. I have not been finding that folder either. Most games either just put their screenshots in their own folder or into the own-files section. Although it's only a minor annoyance this is one thing I'd like to have changed with a patch.
  24. It does? Oh well, guess it was scripted then. I've only played the campaign yet and there you got the planet right after the space battle.
  25. I take it the mod is still intended for use with the demo? Any ideas on when you'll bring out Warlords for the full game?
