  1. Wow, the game hasn't even been released yet, (officially) and already a patch! Amazing! ;D The guys at Pandemic need to learn a few things from Petro, cause only just today has the first SWBF2 patch been released and it's a crappy one at that. I think we can expect excellent support from these guys in the future!
  2. This has been my dream machine for years now, Dark Side Edition of course. >=) Anyone got a spare $5000 laying around by chance? ;D
  3. *Force Choke* Apology accepted Cheesinator. >=) Just kidding, everyone deserves a chance at redemption. ;D
  4. Inaccurate my @$$!! Forgive me, but most people would prefer would be a mod true to the KOTOR storyline with the actual ships, fighters, troops and stations used in the epic storyline covering the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War. As long as I get my Star Forge and infinate fleet of Sith Interdictors (Dark Side ending) I'll be satisfied. ;D (Seeing Darth Revan in his prime would make my day!)
  5. Did anyone else notice the Battlestar Galactica (new series) style camera angles where it zooms into a specific ship very quickly and a little shaken up? Those looked like they came straight off the show! ;D The cinematic camera does need to be a little polished though. I hope it's something that can be fixed in a patch if they didn't have time to before the Gold date.
  6. That's not what the poll said! ;D We kicked BFME2's smoking carcass! I also noticed that they didn't seem to cover any of the multiplayer aspect at all. I find this very disturbing. Maybe they reviewed the gamma version they received by accident...
  7. Your welcome. > I suppose you just wanted to hear more negativity to fill that endless black pit of enthusiasm you have for EAW?
  8. If you want to read the full review, I scanned it for you guys. Find it here: http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=2356.0 I'm starting to suspect foul play from EA, seeing that EAW has been near the top of the Top Ten list on Gamespot, and now it's nowhere to be found. I wouldn't be surprised with all the stockpiles of cash EA has... http://www.gamespot.com/index.html
  9. Here's the link to the actual review directly from Game Informer Magazine: http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6799/eawgireview9sp.jpg They talk about AI and bot pathing, while all of those things were perfectly fine in the demo. This review does shake my faith in this usually reliable magazine a little, but I can't help but wonder if these things will turn out to be true. Either way, Empire at War will prove to be an enjoyable experience and it will certainly be on my favorite game list for years to come. (Admins, if you feel the need to combine this post with the other please do so. I just felt like this needed to be seen in direct view.)
  10. I have the review as well and will scan and post ASAP.
  11. It didn't get Game of the Year for nothing pal! ;D Trust me, you'll be very addicted just trying to get all of your weapons unlocks and a few ranks under your belt! Just be sure you have a powerful enough PC first, cause the game is VERY demanding on your system resources. But hey, my computer crashes every 45 minutes or so playing it and I still can't put it down!! ;D ;D
  12. My clan and I anxiously await the release of this mod this March! We play both games religiously, but Battlefront 2 leaves much to be desired. This will give us a different perspective on what Battlefront 2 should have been. Don't get me wrong, I love my Battlefront, but there was a lot lacking from that experience and this mod will hopefully fill in those gaps. 8)
  13. All Imperial: Sentinel (my favorite) Crimson Blade Instigator Titan Tyrannic Leviathan (Malak stole this one from me! :'()
  14. ESB ROTS ROTJ ANH AOTC TPM I don't dislike any of these wonderful films, I just prefer some over others. I always watch them in order, never skipping anything. I hope some people feel the same way. Watching them together is like watching a whole nother movie! ;D
  15. There are two totally different types of multiplayer in EAW. One is the skirmish mode which allows up to 8 players. This takes place over single battles and does not include the galactic map, but will involve co-op play. The other is Galactic Conquest which is 1 on 1. The players must move their forces across the galactic map and eliminate the other players forces across the many planets of the game. These will take much longer to complete than just a single skirmish. Basically: Skirmish- 1 battle up to 8 players Galactic Conquest- many battles over the galactic map 1 on 1 Hope that clarifies some things for you. ;D
  16. http://starwarsnoooos.ytmnd.com/ Damn. This sucks. :'( :'(
  17. GO SEAHAWKS!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Steelers are overrated!
  18. "Do or do not. There is no try." -Jedi Master Yoda This is a great one I would like to say to all these Empire at War doubting people on these forums: "I find your lack of faith disturbing." -Darth Vader
  19. That's what Tartans are for bud. ;D One of the great things about this game is that you can't just build the most expensive unit (ISD) and expect to win. You must have a variety of ships in your fleet if you are to succeed, which means that your going to have to build a good mixture of corvettes, gunships, cruisers, and destroyers.
  20. http://forums.lucasarts.com/thread.jspa?threadID=101483&tstart=0 A chat session was hosted recently on the LA forums. Some decent questions and answers. Check it out.
  21. Despite what some pessimists say, I believe this will be a game long remembered. EXELLENT find.
  22. This is exiting news indeed! ;D Hopefully, we will finally learn the fate of our "buddy" Revan. The amazing thing is the vast replay value of these games! I can't help uncovering every little detail of every distinct storyline possibility in the series. So compelling!! ;D
  23. I believe the correct translation for the word you're looking for is "doom".
  24. I fail to see what you mean. I think the damage on the capital ships look great with chunks flying off into space, smoke and gasses venting off... Star Destroyer's shields soak up a lot of damage. But remember, it's also the Admiral's job to protect his capital ships from fighters and bombers by using Tartans to counter-attack. As long as you use this tactic, you're ISD's should be able to take on most of what the Rebel scum have to offer, but taking out those bombers and fighters should be the target priority for your Tartans. But I do agree with you on the whole Star Destroyer>Corvette deal. They should be able to take out those guys no problem, but instead it takes like 2 minutes of concentrated firepower to take 'em down. But in the end, it does make for a great space battle. A lot of eye candy indeed. ;D
  25. I took physics 2 years ago. The reason it still turns is maneuvering engines. They work just like bow thrusters on a boat basically, so the ship can still turn left and right, and even slow down if they needed to. And to create an accurate space game, the laws of physics must be applied, otherwise it'll look like 4 year olds designed it. (Sorry for the wording, but I was actually asking you if you haven't taken physics yet. See the question mark? ;D)
