Here's another one I just did today. I basically spent the whole hour long battle destroying Akbar and the space station bit by bit. A very exhausting situation :(. Once Those were both defeated, I GOT MAULED BY ENDLESS WAVES OF CORELLIAN GUNSHIPS!! All three of my Star Destroyers and Victory's were severely damaged by the time this battle was over, and Piett had been constantly pounded by the Ion Cannon before I had a chance to destroy Dagobah with the Death Star. http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/2783/bigwin27jg.jpg

Being the Star Wars nut that I am, I've done this twice before. (One of them was on Oscar Day >) You'll have fun, but be sure to: 1. Have a lot of snacks. ;D 2. I agree with most of the things already said here, and more: 1. Corellian Corvettes and Gunships are REDICULOUSLY overshielded. They can just waltz right into the middle of my fleet of ISD's and pwn my spawning fighters while the capital ships are engaged with each other. :o 2. Rebel Artillery.... Yeah, you get the picture. > 3. ANY VEHICLES' WEAPONS SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANNIHILATE INFANTRY. ONE SHOT FROM AN AT-AT SHOULD BE ABLE TO DECIMATE AN ENTIRE SQUAD WITH SPLASH DAMAGE. 4. Planetary Ion Cannons' effects are completely unfair and should either have a limited period of effect, (doesn't last the entire battle) or should be limited to just one shot per battle. 5. Rebel Speeders are WAY too powerful. (What ever happened to "That armor's too strong for blasters!"?") ??? 6. Since he's the only chance the Empire gets at a raid fleet, (yes, he can raid!) Boba Fett should carry Thermal Detonators like Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn so that he can have at least a chance of destroying an Ion Cannon or other structure before/during a battle. (Mod request, anyone? ;D) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this game. There are just a few things that are hindering my conquest ....err gaming experience as a die-hard Imperial. ;D

COMPLETELY UNBELIEVABLE!! :o :o This whole time jump scenario was completely unexpected. What's going to happen to our heroes? What of the colonies? Are they doomed to be enslaved by the Cylons? I'm too psyked to discuss in detail right now, but I've got to hear you guys opinions. All I can say right now is: BALTAR REALLY SCREWED THINGS UP!!!! GREAT EPISODE!!!! Can't wait till October!!

I'd love to see this mod downloadable. ;D It appears we both have great taste in John William's exellent soundtracks. As long as Duel of the Fates, Battle of the Heroes, and The Tide Turns/ The Death of Darth Maul is in there, I'll be happy. ;D (If you need this track, I just got it thanks to Popcorn ;D and would be happy to share it with you. It's the one on the EAW intro on the main site.) Although I like the prequel tracks slightly better overall, nothing beats the Imperial March or the Battle of Hoth.

EU books are not written by George Lucas, and therefore, are not canon. I do consider the EU along with KOTOR as Star Wars history, but if Big G didn't write it, it's not canon. (Biggest KOTOR maniac ever BTW. ;D) The GCW just doesn't have enough left in it to warrant an expansion on it's own. Like I said, it would be far more logical to go back to an era that everyone is familiar with (AKA Clone Wars) and leave the EU stuff up to the modders. Or, as I said previously, the expansion would be mainly Clone Wars, but also feature some bonus OT/EU units as well. Galactic Battlegrounds was IMO, another half-@$$ed game by LucasArts which didn't quite cover the true story of the Clone Wars. Over half the Clone Wars took place in space which Galactic Battlegrounds doesn't cover!! Come on guys, Empire at War is far superior and the Clone Wars is choc full of material for Petroglyph to incorporate into their already wonderful game. It's the only logical option!

OK everybody, think about this for a second.... Not that it's out of the question now, but honestly, there few people that are actually familiar with the era, leaving most of the game's fanbase behind. It's just not considered canon by most people because most of it's just in books that even George Lucas himself disregards. Even so, how much new stuff would that actually be? I mean, Super Star Destroyers (possibly), TIE Interceptors, a few new heroes, some new planets and a few other misc. units. That's really all that's left out of the OT movies and the EU. (And then of course, there's the Remnant's seemingly endless supply of Death Star wanna-be superweapons. ) What I really think would make more sense both for LucasArts and the fanbase would be to do a joint expansion finishing the little that's left out of the OT, and adding the entire untapped universe of the Clone Wars era as well, which was a massive conflict far greater than the Galactic Civil War. I think the modders can handle the EU stuff just fine on their own. ;D

The Clone Wars would be a perfect era for an expansion, as they cover more major battles over many more planets than the Galactic Civil War ever did. I personally prefer the GCW too, but the addition of the Jedi Knights, the Republic, and the Separatists will be too much to pass up. Who knows, maybe we'll get a few new suprises from the GCW as well. SSD or Interceptors, anyone? ;D Why are there so many PT haters? The Imperial March never gets old in my opinion, no matter what form it's in. The Asteroid Field also adds great flavor to the battles as does the Battle of Yavin, but I still think they could have used more from the Battle of Hoth (great stuff in there ;D). Still though, I think some of the PT music would be excellent for space and land battles, seeing as how it's more battle-oriented than the OT, with the Clone Wars and all. P.S. The war with Exar Kun happened shortly prior to the events of KOTOR 1, so it's unlikely they will go back in time. As long as they tell us the fate of Revan, I will be satisfied. The New Republic is weak and flawed, far less of an influence than the Old. Besides, this is the era of the Sith. The best era outside any of the movies is KOTOR.

The multiplayer bug and many others are fixed now, and it's only a day after release. IMO, it doesn't really matter since they did so well with the patches.

Uh, dude.... There has been a patch and the bugs have been fixed. And I have no clue what errors you're talking about. Could you possibly elaborate a little more?

Just goes to show you, that the AI has a mighty arsenal up it's sleeve. I had most of my ships at Coruscant, and then moved most of them away so they could consolidate with my main fleet. About 2 days later they attacked Coruscant with a ton of X-Wings and corvettes.... Just goes to show you, those Rebels are sneaky bastards so never let your guard down!
