  6. Sounds good, DTH. I agree: We should have a meeting at least once a week, if not just to chat about who killed the most ships in FoC or something like that. So, the date's set at 11/5?
  7. I don't really know of any tools yet except the basic ones. Mike.nl, though, is a godsend for modders and coders because of all the tools he has made. (Link) That was post was with you, not against. Most things there can be coded, but most good coders are working for T-C projects (LoW, PM). So, most independent coders (like myself) are doing the best they can, but greed and deception is everywhere. What I mean by that is mod stealing, hacking, etc. Most E@W tools should work for FoC, as it's basically the same directory but different names. I know that the E@W extractor (Extracts .meg files) works, as I changed a few things for FoC today. I bet they did/do, but time constraints and budgets mixed in with coding difficulty ultimatly creates some cuts. I know, it sucks, but that's life for you.
  8. Too much? You think that is too much? I laugh! Everything you said there could be modded into either E@W or FoC. EVERYTHING. (Well, maybe not collisions, but mostly everything else) It's a simple matter of coding in this line or that phrase. Impossible? You're talking to the guy that put FoC's Droideka MK. II into the game. From demo coding. Nothing is impossible, just a challenge for coders, skinner, modellers everywhere.

  10. Well, now my whole CD Drive died on my, lol. That's the reason why it wasn't reading, the whole thing appears to be dead: It won't open or close (and the disk is in there, unfortunanatly :'(), it won't respond, and it's not even listed in My Computer's list of drives. Best to get the Geek Squad on it or something lol. Quick Edit: Thanks to SWGBEX I used teh CD drive's emergency release (little button below the opener-thingy, push in a paper clip and voila) to get my FoC disk outta there, but the drive is still not registering on MC, and therefore it's not working. I'll prolly just go to BB and get an external one to replace it.
  11. : I think all this whining is because for once you need to THINK before you attack. E@W was just about building massive fleets and attacking with everything. FoC eliminates that perspective and adds the one where you need strategy to win instead of brute force. That's the whole point of the ZC's Corruption Abilities: Which one should I choose for the situation? Hmm, this planet was mostly Empire controlled; maybe if I choose "Corrupt Militia" they'll fight for me and resist Imperial control. So, basically what I'm saying is that FoC brings to light the fact that strategy is needed instead of large fleets. Besides, even the ZC units have weaknesses that I've seen exploited.
  12. Plookon, 3 Words: BLACK MARKET TECHNOLOGY. The Zahn Consortiom (sp?) isn't supposed to be balanced, it's supposed to be overpowered. The Rebels & Empire have standard technology like blasters & turbolasers. The Zahn Consortium (sp?) has Distintigrator Rfiles & Mass Driver cannons, which are, of course, Black Market Tech. What I'm saying is that the ZC is supposed to be unbalanced and unfair, because in Star Wars Real Life, Black Market Tech could easily own anything. And that is my $.02.
  13. Bug: Interceptor IV Attack & Select Commands Mixed Up Whenever I select the Interceptor IV, it will say "Put pressure on them" or "Attacking". When you tell it to attack, it says "Interceptor IV Reporting". Note: I have no mods or anything, this is vanilla FoC. Possible Bug: My FoC Not Initializing My FoC starts about 1/3 of the time you select "Play Game" from the FoC menu. I think this is my rig (It's over 2 years old and running out of disk space), but I'm not sure. This happened right from the start, where I selected "Play Game" and it took about 30 seconds to load (it showed the spinning disk icon) and then it said, "Error: Cannot find legitimate or original disk". Note: My copy is legitimate because I bought it at GameStop. This probably is my rig, but if someone else if experiencing it may be a bug.
  14. @ J_C: Ohh.....opps. Sorry about that. I thought I put all my coding in & it was cleaned up...*sigh* Well, I'd been experimenting on it before I released it, and it turns out I found some things I had left once I released it. So, hope I didn't cause you too much trouble. The Juggernaut? No, that's up to you guys. Good luck!

  17. Well, dur. Marajuana is a drug that interferes with the pain center of your brain. Therefore, you don't fell any of the affects of what it is doing to your body because it feels like a knife or a machete going through your head.
  18. @ Logan: Everything's been done for you, I used Mike's converter & everything. Just put the files in the right place & your code to go. @ JMT: Well, first I had to extract the model & animation files, then convert the animations, then code the unit in (that was the worst part, as it didn't like E@W's way of movement, took quite a few times to get it right), then have D803 get hte right button for it, then after testing I went public. So I did a lot, not just coding.
  19. This could be a variety of things, mate. First off, ensure that you've added the meg file's name to MegaFiles.xml in Gamedata/Data. Second, if you've already done that, you'll need to extract all .xmls to check and ensure that a mistake hasn't been made (the game gets really angry when it has any of these in the .xml: ; : ' \ / - = @!#$%^&*() ) Third, esnure that all .xmls are named correctly, and if so put back into the .meg file and try again. Follow these steps and it should resovle itself.
