one word: Battlefront

*looks around, comes out of 3dsmax hole* hmmm, is it now fact that things tend to break down after time rather then build up? There was some law for that. Lets face it, if money was involved (ISOTX) I would work non stop till that game was moded, but there isnt. Problem is people, get bored.

lots of updates, and i mean alot, wonder if they are releasing info for the demo
-
no i mean they were removed from the official site list...which is odd cause they had them listed last week

I was looking through the EaW site today and noticed that Venators are no longer on the official ships list anymore. Any Ideas what happened to them?

Ok Can have a few things, I want you to show me how NMA is diffrent or better then the statesments I make ok? -Better management for the mod production: How? -More human and know-how resources available for a moder: Best way to learn is from Vet moders like the ones at Nexus -Better communication and cooperation between moders: Thats what MSN, Email, and a Forum are all ment for. -Better moding tools (developed by the NMA) You have a C++ coders? What a coincedence -Better publicity for the NMA mods: Well I can see there news being put on NMA and EaW sites, but hows that better then whats going on now? -Excellent relations with the developers (that will give high quality feedback for projects): Ive talked to Lucasarts on the phone about EaW and Email Lucas and Petro alot for game info, and they give feedback on my mods. Are you going outsite these studios? -People from the game industry will be involved (unofficially) in the management of NMA: Like who? and what are there credentials -Better relations between the EAW sites and EAW moders. Well All of the EaW sites love our mods, and I dont see how you guys can make it better. -The NMA will be a quality trademark that will ensure that the respective mod had our QA approval and will run superbly on the gamers PCs. Alpha and Beta test are ment for that, No? We are all gamers and we all have diffrent levels of PCs. -Better credits systems and training that will ensure an increased value on a CV when a moder will apply for a job in the game industry. (*I did it) You worked in the gaming industry straight from modding? Ive talked with Devs, and they say go to college, moddings nice, but gives alot less credit then a actuall degree. -Improved level 1 and 2 moding training that will help moders to better assimilate the ways of the gaming industry. Seen it been done at Slipstream Productions, it works allright, just takes alot of time and takes away from mod development, because the people who are the teachers are also modders. Thanks for your time.

NMA Project- Reality of Rebellion
Bryant_pff replied to Stellar_Magic's topic in EAW - Modding Arts Inc.
Well heres the thing that ive seen in the modding community in time of modding. Mods Share, but mods dont share right away, for you as a stranger to come up to a team and be like "Can we share these models?" Seems more like leeching then anything else. Once you have a firm and establish mods, well on your way of making it on your own, and after you have devoloped a relationship with the other mod and leader(s) it would be very more likely for a trading of work to go on. Even if my mod (IA2) was in NMA, I would not give you models, because quite frankly I dont know you or see any work in your mod or anything to gain back. Now at Nexus the mods there, Ive been friends with for quite some time, several months and years for some. The Nexus also has higher standards then the NMA, so feelings of leeching is diminished (Working Site, Team, Progress etc) If LoW came up to me and was like "Hey I need a model, but I just cant seem to get anyone to do it, can I have it if I give you this model" I would be much more willing to do it because of all the ties (Nexus, Past-Work, Working Progressive Team, Friendship) And another thing is just plain old human emotion. People just dont like sharing, just how life is. The world would be a better place if people shared what they had (being a christian myself) i believe, but the sad fact is they dont. I also would like the modelers voice on the model being shared, if they made a bwing for IA2 and wanted it only for IA2, I could give it to another mod, but thats loosing the relationship with my team. This just the idea, nothin personal against any of these mods. -

uhhh, hmmm, im not feeling this one. Normally teams make mods that have the same units tend not to share, and dont want to share, and you cant force them to share. If the world was like this then there would be no reason to work lol -

woah woah woah, from one vet mod leader to you, how in the world do you plan on getting this done without a team? Modelers are hard to come by these days and skinners are even harder. Sure you have this NMA, but they dont have enough people to form a good art department (other then EvilleJedi) for this big of a undertaking -
problem is you let the dead bodies sit there, and then more and more pile up it can become really taxing on a system, and especially some of the older ones. So they will ethier dissapear, or fade away. Bodies staying just does not seem like a good option from a analitcal standpoint.

I believe the information released is ok seeing that its still a few more months until the release. Also maybe im wrong, but shouldnt a wealth of information be released with the demo? -
Hello PFF, In case you have forgotten me, my name is Bryant Malaski, Co-leader of Star Wars: Imperial Assault 2 and creator of Empire at War: Nexus. Now I bet you are wondering what exactly EaW: Nexus is right? Well the Nexus is a place for EaW mods to come together and help each other. Say Imperial Assault 2 has something they can't get coded, then they can post it on the Nexus for all of the other mod teams to see, and offer there insite or even code it for them. This will also apply to art and the like. Mods can all post news at the Nexus as well, making it the one stop you need for all the latest EaW modding news. There is a forum to discuss all the mods and EaW modding in general. Tutorials will be offered when Nexus staff write some, and code will also be available once EaW is released to help up and coming modders. Any mod can be part of the Nexus, but we do not offer hosting right now. The site is not fully up and running right now, but the important stuff is, it will be a great place for the whole EaW community once everything is. Basically Nexus is just a big site of EaW modders and anyone wanting help and suggestions for future modding should come to Nexus, we are here to help the community. Home page: http://eawnexus.gamingsource.net/ Forums: http://eawnexus.gamingsource.net/forums/index.php Please register at the forums to help the community grow and feel free to browse around the main site as well. For More information check the FAQ on the website. Current Affiliated Mods: Imperial Assault 2 Legacy of War Starship Troopers: The First ISW Project Mars Destination Star Wars: The Sith War We are very excited about this site and hope you all will share our enthusiasm!

Imperial Assault 2: Rise of the Empire
Bryant_pff replied to Mr_Painless's topic in EAW Hosted Community Projects
Rise of the Empire Consits of Clone Wars Era and campain up to first EaW mission-Sides Will be First Release, Campain most likely later Rebirth of the Republic Goes to the NJO Era -Some Released in First Sometimes I forget to switch logos on the render template, like on this model, which is entirely my fault and I just want to clarify that. And you can call them all "IA2" all being made under the same team. http://www.imperialassault.com/rote/files/PR/phan_news_thumb.jpg Modeled and Skinned by Major A Payne -
