  1. Ah, the MPTL. Now I see..
  2. Yep. Problem solved. Thread closed.
  3. Mh, could be possibe but this would also require a lot more hitpoints for ground units. And a new model for every ground unit I think...
  4. Mh, I don't know but isn't the Venator a little bit too big and powerfull to be in the hands of pirates as a regular unit? I just think that this is a ship which does not really fit to regular pirates.
  5. I prefer the Imperial Guard but sadly they are not in
  6. Thats true. Nuff said.
  7. Were in the game (can be seen on older screenshots) but have been taken out. As it seems. Mh. I think we have to see how large ground maps are to see if transports are usefull. There are many RTS games which have transports which in the end are never used (Dawn of War as an example) AT-ST, Support Plattform (Swamp Speeder) or the POD-Walker (don't know the exact name right now) are my first guesses here.
  8. ehm yes.... you have my full support
  9. I don't know if this has been mentioned before and as far as I know the team needs some help: http://eaw.finalfront.net/templates/akodarkgem/images/header.png
  10. http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicle/turbotank/img/movie_bg.jpg This is a Turbo Tank. http://outpost.cnc-hq.de/TRIALS/DonBilbo/EaWHQContent/Rebellen/GroundUnits/T4B_3_sml.jpg This is the rebel T4B tank. So, could anyone tell me what this thread is about?
  11. And what's up with those who complain about the complainers of those who complain? Oh man this is getting ugly... Suggestion: Get back to topic!
  12. This nerf has to do with balance. What happend to SWG is a completely different thing...
  13. Destroying the Shield Generator does not only disable the shields but more important the ability to recharge shields which takes away some damage (when the shield recharges a bit, the damage is taken away from the next hit). So taking them out is (in my oppinion) the best to start with. (Or destroying the hangar would also be a good start for rebels)

  15. Did you play the same game that I did? ??? But yes, the heroes (Millenium Falcon) needs a little nerf. Especially the special abilities need a longer cooldown. They are available again way too fast!
  16. Mh. If you look at the heroes "passive" features loosing them means loosing a lot of benefits. And I don't think they are that powerfull. You won't engage them that often in tactical battles if you compare the amount of units and the amount of planets. And at least if you want to benfit from their tactical abilities you have to leave them at your planets. So taking them into battles means, as mentioned above, loosing special benefits. I don't know if this is worth it very often. I don't think they we will see many heroes fighting except very important battles and there the enemy will have his heroes ready to engage yours. But in the end we have to wait and see.
  17. Okkkaaayy.... And what exactly do you want to talk about? That they promote a feature of the game which is not a standard in RTS games?
  18. The problem here might be ground based canons like the Hyperverlocty Gun which take out your ships while they are waiting for the transports. (Just a guess)
  19. Wo voted for "It sucked, wont buy it at all." ?! > *away for trying to get some tar and feathers*
  20. lower left menu. The "shield" icon.
  21. /signed And a function to disable the interface in close-up woould also be nice
  22. Short explanation of MEG files can be found here: http://www.tibed.net/editing/empireatwar/megafiles
  23. As I noticed screenshots in the demo are done in the .tga format. To state out I hate this. Why? Very simple: TGA is a you cannot open with most free tools like GIMP. Not even Windows itself can open it. Why not using BMP or another standard format? The only "free" program I know that can open TGA is Irfanview. So my question is: Why TGA? Is there anything special about TGA I am not aware of?
