  1. In EAW will Luke just be like in ANH where he only uses a blaster? Good question, but there is only so much I can answer before Lucas force chokes me.
  2. that you can build ion cannons but i know i heard it somewhere Of course you can, but you need to aquire the technology. =)
  3. I'm saying that right now its nabbed more share of the market in games with one installment then anything else, including all of the C&C games. Actually no, DOW and AOE3 currently are running the gambit. RTW is more of a niche game appealing to the more hard core strategist. You'll never see it hit C&C, AOE or Craft numbers which are well over 15 million each. Hey I'm not slammin it, I just want to know why my calvary couldn't run over guys.
  4. Finally someone who shares my view of RTW cavalry against games like BFME. If you are going to have calvary in a RTS, they better be as good if not better than the Rohirrim from BFME. Calvary that cannot plow through infantry is just lame.
  5. Don't forget Mon Cals and Home 1.
  6. I've had to clean up some 100+ bugs. Required all my attention sadly. But I'm down to 1 now.
  7. Nope, they are just fun animations tied to the unit.
  8. This may do away with having to kill darth vader and the Emperor as a victory condition. Nope, if you hit a victory condition, good work.
  9. If heroes are respawnable or resurrectable they will quickly come to be the dominant force on the battlefield, not AT-ATs, not Star Destroyers, not X-wing squadrons. I totally agree, but luckily for you we are balancing the game. [/i]
  10. I hope we can at least mod it so heroes can stay down for good. Have at it!
  11. unressurectable heros would have enhanced both realism and required skill... Maybe, maybe not.
  12. I mean look at the best selling RTS today, Rome: Total War and guess what all your heroes can die By no means do I consider RTW to be one of the greats. I was bored to tears in the first 10 minutes. Also, calvary could not run over infantry like LOTR: BFME. I threw my hands up and quit after that. I'm just saying... For those of you who enjoyed it, hats off. We found it to be more fun to allow heroes to return in EAW, of course there is always a price.
  13. In tactical mode the game will pause, but during Galactic, everything is in motion. Also, player will have the option to fight in tactical or Auto-Resolve the battle.
  14. But, if you kill one, it shouldn't be able to come back! Is that really fun? Sure there may be 20 of you that say "yes' but there could be 1000 that say "no." We have to go with our gut instinct on this one.
  15. Ryloth is in game, and so are the dancers. wOOt!
  16. FYI, there is not 80 planets in the game. It's more like a little over 40.
  17. can anyone confirm if the fighters are independent of the bigger capital ships? Yes, fighters are independent.
  18. Since I have played the heck out of single-player, you'll find me online challenging fans. I'll even be giving away free Petroglyph t-shirts to any winners. So if you want a free t-shirt you better brush up on your space and land tactical micro.
  19. The squads are set at five, but for balance could change. Also, just because they are at 5, doesn't make the game any less fun. The smaller groups compliment attack forces nicely.
  20. What I meant though is are nebulas independant of planetary orbits (like in between planets), or are they just another component of them? They are just a component of space tactical game-play.
  21. Delphi, why is there a limit? C&C never had one. For performance and game-play reasons. More on performance though. I promise you this, it will be barely noticeable. Oh, and there was a pop cap in C&C, we just didn't tell ya about it.
  22. Yes there will be a pop cap, but not as harsh as other games. More details will follow in the next few weeks.
  23. s it true that space battles can take place adjacent to nebulae, as well as in planetary orbits? Yes, players can fight in and around nebulas. When ships enter a Nebula sight range is limited, special abilities are temporarily offline and of course ships disappear from radar.
  24. will AT-AT's be able to shoot Snow Speeders and all from the air like in the movie? Of course! But they are not well suited for the task. There is the ATAA and ground based turbolasers help too.
  25. You can also, when building a ship and maybe afterwards fill up these "hard-points" with whatever you want modifing its abilitys. No you can't, ships come with pre-built hard points same goes for space stations.
