Well I have played many good games, however with a good game it seems that I find a way that it could be better. This could be via the setting or different implementation or something. Anyway post your thoughts on a game here (or multiple games). Sorry I'm trying to get our discussion going. My SW rpg game: I loved the Kotor series. What I would love would be to make it an action rpg (with still the same type of story and dialogue, etc) and allow the playable character (that you can customize their appearance with tons of options like an MMO or something) to weild a melee weapon in their right hand and a blaster pistol in their left hand simultaneously. It would be awesome to be blocking laser shots with your lightsaber and shooting back. Of course it would have to be a sort of high level skill or something, but still I want a jedi game where I can weild ls+bp.

It's pretty fun to play. I have played today for about 5 hours or so and sunk about 3 ships. Ghostly and I had a few near passes with full-blown gun battles that went down to the last few hundreds of health points. ;D Kill count: 9

I'm sooo excited because I played this game a lot a while ago. It was so fun and frustrating. You had to manage your kingdom and try to convince your heroes to fight monsters, but never had actual control of them. Heh I need to install this on my new computer. I already have NWN Diamond, The Witcher, Kotor 1&2, NWN 2 + MotB all installed. How's that for RPG goodness? Of course I will need to play through them all now. Edit: Ghostly are you still looking at Sacred 2?

Just saw this game on gamespot. It's an RTS/RPG hybrid from Stardock (Galciv 1&2, Sins of a Solar Empire) and Gas Powered Games (SupCom, Dungeon Siege). I have been playing through KotOR quite a bit lately and there is something about the first game that made me wonder a bit. In the first few conversations with Canderous there is one in which he speaks of an asteroid encounter he had on the outer rim. The two things that stuck out to me about it were the fact the "ship" was pitted and had weapons that melted (I think it was shields) like wax. Then it went to the edge of the galaxy and they stopped tracking it. I'll admit the first thing I thought of was the YV. What did you guys think of it? Another thing. About Bastila (when playing as a male revan). She turns to the dark side yada yada. On the top of the Rakatan temple she says that you, Revan, should reclaim your place as the leader of the sith, but it occurs to me that shouldn't she rather have said that you would be her apprentice (didn't expect her to willingly be your apprentice, but then again she does have the hots for you so...)? Maybe she was just trying to have you be the master, because she knows you are more powerful and is afraid you would betray her and kill her. Anyway I found that a bit interesting as well.

I think I'm gonna need a second spring break. This one went by too fast. ;D

12,4** about in 3dmark. I imagine Vista takes up some of the performance. Everything at stock. I may overclock it sometime, but as of now, it plays all my games maxed quite well.

posting from my new pc now. I only ran into minor issues (that I already knew would come up) building it. Wow it makes my old 3200+ seem so slow.

Yeah I heard they were working on a new one. Good to hear it. I enjoyed the demo for the first one, although I never ended up buying the game.

Is there really a strong rebel presence though at this time? Right now the threat is the remaining jedi.

I will be getting it on the x360, but only because I coincidentally have one. I would prefer to play this sort of game on the pc.

I always got a kick out of Carth and Atton. I liked them both too.

Well I recently played through Kotor 1 and got mostly through Kotor 2 before school and Mass Effect stole my attention. You can choose to give a reason for your choice or not. Mine would have to be: Visas Marr (picked her over Bastila who is close second)

I realize the 8gb seems like overkill and in a way I am overkilling it a bit, because this is a computer I'm hoping will last me for quite a long time (3+ years). For that reason I want something that will last. Vista 64-bit does work with 8gb (I've checked around) and with ddr2 ram so cheap as it is compared to what I have to spend in terms of a budget, the extra ~$130 seems like it wouldn't hurt for the 8gb.

So yeah another long math assignment. Numerical analysis..... nothing to do with computer science..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. :

thanks for the replies guys. I am planning on getting the x38 (or 780i) with a Q9450 once it is released (end of March I've heard). I've been thinking of maybe getting 3870 Crossfire (or 8800GTS 512mb sli). I like the dual slot cooler design that vents the air straight out the back of the case (less heat in the case the better). Oh in case you're wondering this won't exactly be a budget build. I'm hoping it will last me for a while. I know some people don't like the dual video card setups, but I probably will go ahead and go with it since my last computer that I built had it as well and it worked out fine. (back in 2005)
