the 3 biggest things i look for in a pc is. A) the graphics card is atleast a Radeon 9600/Geforce 6200 B) atleast 1024 RAM, i used to use 512...after i got 1024, i noticed a big change in speed. C) Hardrive RPM's should be atleast 7200, i prefer a Western Digital Raptor 10000 though. lol fosh, the new GeForce 7800 is the best card out, it's 16x's better then the GeForce 6800, which WAS the best card before the 7800... i aint lying either, it actually is 16x's better ^^ it's far ahead of the gaming industry

nah i'm not gonna fly jets. the USAF mainly consists of above average intelligent ppl. some of the other branches like the army and marines aren't really that appealing for smart ppl. the USAF or the Navy is your best choice. it jsut depends on how you wanna live your life. would you rather be on a ship half of the year, or on an Air Force base at all times of the year. these bases aren't that bad tbh. i'm having alot of fun, even while i was in basic, cuz i was palced into the easiest squadron of all (322) our TI let us run our own dorm and stuff. so we generally had alot fo free time and just messing around in the dorms. that's basically what we did on a day to day basis. let me know if you want some more information about the Air Force. btw, the Air Force service uniform looks a hell of alot better than that of the Navy's...heh, you attract alot of chicks - AMN Allen

right now my job is Communications Computer Systems Implementations & Designs (3c331) the advantages of me switching to a Munitions job would be... 1) i get to work on bombs and missles first hand 2) it's something that i heard is a really really fun job 3) most munitions ppl go 20yrs in the Air Force as a career cuz they like the job so much 4) i can go just about anywhere on Earth so if i don't get reclassed, then after 3yrs in the USAF, i will just crosstrain into Nuclear Weapons or Munitions or possibly Space Systems Operations....so that can be my new job but one thing ima for sure do is, get a feel for how much civilians will pay me for my services if i decide to leave the USAF for more money. I will prolly send out my resume to all sorts of big companies during my 3rd year, if they offer me $75,000+/year. I will prolly take the job. Whether it be nuclear, comms, space, or munitions related. I'm just out to earn all the money i can. I also need to get atleast an Associates degree in my career before i send out my resume, which shouldn't take very long - AMN Allen

um, i haven't been really moderating. im kinda pissed that they are holding me over about a month extra in BMT, cuz stupiud keesler still hasn't been repaired :s im thinkin bout reclassing into a Munitions job tho gimme until winter 2005 to get settled down and stuff. cuz right now i jsut don't have the damn time to do much of anything :\ - AMN Allen

Hurricane Katrina (Stuff here might be sensative)
Zerogravity replied to Ghostly_Substance's topic in The Bar
my tech school was hit pretty hard (Keesler AFB) so ima be held over at Lackland AFB for a long long time :'( - Amn Allen -
i just graduated from BMT today, i'm on base lib, about to go on town pass soon tho, just thought i'd come by and say hello. i also have some news, my tech school's base, which is in Mississippi, was blown off the map by hurricane katrina, so ima be held over here at lackland till october 3rd most likely, but i will still come by and post sometimes. it feels great to have graduated - Amn Allen

heh yea it's really fun. alot of ppl are getting stressed cuz they can't do crap right or they are too slow and get yeled at. but i am adapting very well. im bout to head off to warrior week this coming sunday...that is definately going to be fun. cuz we get to shoot m16's, do mock battles. an obstacle course and all kinds of fun stuff, even get to go out every night and raid the enemy squadron's tents and stuff even though BMT is fun, i still can't wait till i graduate on Sep. 2nd, so i can get to my tech school and begin playing bf2 online again. speaking of which, ima prolly go to the net cafe here on base in a few mins and play some bf2 online with some of my fellow wingmen or sumthin. heh hf civis ^^ - Amn Allen

well i'm still at USAF Basic Military Training, but i'm in my 5th week, so i have this coming week and the next one and i will be done. i am able to access the pc's here since im on base liberty today, so i decided to come online and post to all of you fools just wanted to let ya know USAF BMT is pretty hard, but i was lucky and got stuck with the easiest squadron there is here, the 322d aka Candyland. heh we get to eat candy and stuff on the weekends when we get base lib, it's really nice. i will be accessing these forums again a week after this coming monday, so you can expect to hear from me alil more if i get enough base lib hours. As for BMT, i really like it. the yelling isn't really that bad or anything. plus i'm kicking ass in everything i do. such as preparing my living area for inspections, my running, push ups, and situps. i'm also getting verydisciplined, i can stand at attention for like 30mins-hour with sweat running down my face and can jsut stand there and resist the temptation to get it outta my eyes and that tickling feeling ^^ well ima go post around on this forum now, heh hf with your easy ass civilian lives. i work 18hrs a day - Airman Allen

Zerogravity replied to Ghostly_Substance's topic in The Bar

lol sigma yea well the ppl on atlantis seemed to trick them so they left

too many rules bub, i prefer josh's this aint no damn concentration camp, don't expect ppl to obey them like it is one either ^^
-
i edited your post to make the spelling better in it, also reworded it where you said site, this isn't actually a site, so i changed it to forum. your main problem with spelling was you kept saying 'u' :\ on official rules it is prolly a good idea to make it look as professional as possible. you also spelt grammar as 'grammer' hehe englishman and i would get rid of that last rule if i were you, ppl allready know to do that, plus it would fit under using common sense.
-
some of the forums i have posted on have many more rules then that

well uh the opening season episode of SG-1 was pretty damn good, bad thing bout it is a part 1 of 2 episodes, so i won't be able to watch it finish next week, DAMN as for atlantis, that was the best episode i think i have seen yet, tons of fighting, it showed the third and final part of the siege (the last episode of last season) was some pretty damn good episodes to say at the very least and that galactica episode is the most painful of all that i will miss, cylons boarded the galactica in this part 1, argh i wanna see what happens in part 2 !
-
i find them acceptable i wouldn't add anymore rules, they seem to cover all of the general stuff, and thanks for adding the bar in that rule, it clears up every problem i have with that off topic rule gj mr. josh

lol wtf, im going Air Force!! the Air Force is for the people who are too smart for their own good and should not be given a weapon, rather a computer to do their work with. the Army is about as opposite from the USAF as it gets :s the USAF core values are 1. integrity first 2. service before self 3. excellence in all we do idk wtf the Army's values are but it isn't what i just typed :\ but one thing i do know is that the US Army has been trying many months now to steal USAF recruits. no one in their right mind would join the Army if they were qualified for the USAF, seeing as the USAF catters towards the smarter ppl. i also strongly believe that ppl should feel like they are free on the forums, because once you take away their freedoms. they stop coming back. your making a mistake if you start turning us mods into police that take away a person's liberties. give the ppl what they want, not the other way around. cuz without them you have no forum, that's my thoughts on this. - marcus

i kno, iv'e been all through biloxi i like their buffets heh i had a briefing this morning with my recruiter, he said there was a mistype on my sheet that shows my job, it's actually 5 weeks of tech school i will be having, not a 16 week long one good news for me to say at the very least, i wanna get started with my active duty asap and have a life of my own.
-
lol, it's just a forum guys not a fuckin business heh. i don't think people want to feel restricted. i agree with JI's 2 rules. but lets not go overboard here and make the ppl feel like they have no freedoms to do anything. and i sure as hell wouldn't sticky a *RULES* in the bar section or General discussion. cuz i gurantee you very few ppl will actually read them, let alone follow them. the bar section is ment to go off topic, you shouldn't restrict what goes on in there regarding off topic rules. you won't see me enforcing off topic rules on those ppl in there... the bar and here is where i make most of my post, i could care less what you do with the general discussion part of the forum as for any additional rules, i do remember a few days back having to warn some guy to stop insulting other ppl and also saying if the guy can't post anything accurate and with good spelling, he shouldn't even post at all.
