OK here's how it works. A fighter runs up the spine of the Destroyer and using lasers takes out the shield towers. Then it swings around just above the engine bank and takes out the turbolaser just above the engine. Then the fighter lets go with all it has on the bridge and the body of the destroyer. Or alternatively you can take out the engines and the weapons and capture it.

I agree with the Diplomacy thing remember that was also a major part of Rebellion so i believe that the they will be closer in comparison than i initially thought.

I was just thinking about the crew. To limit over expansion of Crews you have a crew pool like in ST Armada. You can only construct certain ships when you have the Crew for it, enough credits and a certain planet. I.e For the Mon Cal Cruisers you need to hold Mon Calamari. For the Imperials you need to hold Kuat and Fondor to build Super Star Destroyers. These point would limit the speed of construction and mean that there will be certain places which if you hold are key resource points for your armada and As Josh put it Sector fleets. Will there be the oppotunity to give characters ranks like Grand Moff or Grand Admiral? Supreme Commander of Alliance Forces, Admiral Solo

So does that lead to similarities to Rebellion? With those Energy that would mean that Coruscant and Corellia would have lots of Energy while places like Dagobah and Hoth could have next to no structures on the planet.

Ok. In a Strand of DNA there are 3 distinct pairs of groups the G--T T--N and N--G for example. In the Krytos Virus Designed by Ysanne Isard these bas pairs were rearranged to break down the cells in a specific hosts body. Isard had it designed so that the Rebels would be Bankrupted trying to save the population of Coruscant who would be hit by this disease. It would mean that the founding humans would be seen as saving only a few species as there wouldn't be enough Bacta to cure all the Billions infected. The Problem was it was distributed in the water sources around the planet. Rogue Squadron had destroyed much of the supply while they were taking coruscant by redirecting a solar station (redirects light to the planet) and Evaporating the resevoi in the Northern Hemisphere. This removed nearly all of the virus allowing the Rebels to combat and finally negate the virus with the production of Ry'cla by a Vratix Verachen(Master Brewer).

I believe that most of the battles will be in space as you both meet at neutral planets. It may become slightly repetitive but most games do. On the Petro Website a part of the SWEAW description reads WE HAVE EU STUFF!!!! YAY!!! We may have the SSD after all.
-
I believe that you start off with Ep 3 ships and develop better ships as the game develops.
-
I have to agree with Jedi Igor on the topic. Rise of Nations got a bit boring after a certain length of time. However i think that bigger will be better. More planets will mean that the game will be longer and there will be a greater ability to do battles.

Thrawn is a Chiss and was wanted stability that was his goal for the galaxy, he wanted to protect his people and he USED the emperor to do this by enhancing his own families technology with Imperial allowing the construction of the Chiss Clawcraft and Various other CEDF things. The Imperial Grand Admiral who did rebel was Admiral Zaarin. He developed new starfighters and using them tried a cue against the Emperor. It was Thrawn who destoyed Glory, Zaarin's ship and killed him. Thrawn was killed during the battle of Bilbringi when his Noghri companion killed him

Kaarde was based on an asteroid for the majority of the Civil War and before that he was the Lieutenant for a man called Jorj Cardas. A man who absorbed some off Yoda's Jedi powers after a dark jedi injured him and crashed his ship onto Dagobah during the Clone Wars. Then they moved to Myrkr and from then to Pantalomin and the Smugglers alliance began operation from Rishi and had bases all over the galaxy. So they could interject at loads of different threspoints.

I can't understand how the original DS worked as it didn't have that central point. The 2nd does so it makes sense.

I was also thinking of creating Jedi fleets with Training vessels like the Chu'athor Academy. So that the Jedi and Diplomats go to various planets do a Diplomacy mission and then recruit jedi. The Imperials would have Jedi Hunting Armadas full of Dark Jedi and Jedi Hunters inc. Boba Fett and Slave I.
-
Not only that but we could have traders joining the battle in specific territories. The Smugglers and the Rebels in a joint battle against an Imperial Armada like in The Thrawn Trilogy.

OK. The force is everything. The Jedi in EP 1-6 we limited in their use of the force. In the far past Jedi were mediators, they were a meditative order based on the rim planet of Ossus. Then after the Great Sith War the Republic called on the Jedi to have a more active role in the defense of the Republic. This calling led to the Jedi being limited in their force usage by pride and their own petty problems. The Republic built them a temple of their own on Coruscant. In the NJO Jacen Solo under the tutelage of Vergere, a Jedi of the Old Republic learned that the Force reflects what it finds in a force manipulating Lifeform e.g. Sith, Jedi etc. The Sith Draw on their active emotions eg Rage, Hate, Aggression and a Will to dominate. The Original Jedi understood their emotions so were able to fully follow the will of the Whole Force not just the living force that Yoda and Luke Adheared to. The Unifying force is the Whole Force, biotic and Abiotic. Jacen in UNIFYING FORCE managed to reach the state that the original Jedi took Years of Meditation to reach. A point at which he had no qualms and it caused him to be able to cut through all preconceptions he had and allow him to heal everything around him. For a distinct moment he had unlocked the meaning of his existance. That moment was when HE BROUGHT BALANCE TO THE FORCE in himself so was able to access the entire spectrum from Dark powers like lightning to Light powers like healing as Vader had done at the end of his life. So in my eyes Jacen is the prophecised one mentioned in the prequel trilogy.

Post here for any help with any of the SW games. Rebellion a speciality. Need help with what to begin doing when playing the game? Want to know how to organise your fleets and snubfighters? Post here whenever you want and we'll help as much as we can.

I've heard on a different page Cain saying that there is a possibility of Units or Characters defecting. Would be nice to have an SSD defect to the alliance but i'm not sure. I think that when you are in a battle I.E. The Vader Vs Obi Wan battle you see in the E3 footage you should either have the oppotunity to order Vader to Kill or just to injure and capture. Then Imperial interogation and the Dark side could corrupt him. Therefore characters defecting. Thats one part of Rebellion that I think should have been explored more. There were some characters with sympathies to the Empire/ Rebellion. Then if they're on a mission to a Rebel/ imperial Planet or in a massive battle and are captured the characters have a small chance of abandoning they're mission and joining the Rebels/ imperials.

I am here to serve you in any way I can. Any questions about the SW galaxy? Ask me! No matter how small I am here to assist. Want to know what happens to the Emperor after he Dies at Endor? Want to know what would have happened if Luke had died on Hoth? Or is there just a question about what is Zonama Sekot or the Yuzhaan Vong?

Nah it's OK, if its running off a GeForce 3 with 1GHz processor i'm fine.

I think that the snubfighters should be able to go and do hit and run strikes as a prelude to invasion. Like a wing of E-wings or Xwings leading 2 or 3 sections of B-wings. I would be quite disappointed if the snubs always have to be in the Capital ships as you may ahve hundreds of snubs and few carriers then you have a "dead Fleet" as your fighters cannot defend the planets indefinately. REBEL ROUTE As soon as possible create swathes and swathes of Fighters to defend every planet at least 20 squads per planet at a 60 -40 mix between bombers and normal fighters. 60% fighters to 40% bombers. Then begin construction of larger and larger vessels, each planet solely constructing a specific fleet. IE Mon Calamari building a Carrier fleet, corellia building a destroyer/ support fleet and Naboo and the rest building more fighters or Troops. Get 2 or 3 large fleets between groups of 5 planets and have 10 wings of fighters (30 Squads) per planet. I know it's rather big but i'd like to see an imperial fleet survive that!!

Darth Vader had the Darth Vader also could create a type of Force Shield around him which could deflect all physical damage. Kind of a more powerfull version of the shield you could use in the Jedi Knight Series.

Joshinator. So what you want is similar graphics to ST Armada with construction of ships being seen between the Shipyard framework? The Economy ideas introduced will stream line and quicken the game. With Rebellion you spend the first few hundred turns increasing your construction capacity and your maintenance capacity. It got a bit boring during that period and with Recruiting missions it also got a bit tedious. Recruitment could happen in this game when you're fleet go into a system and you recieve a little screen in the lower corner saying. Rebel Sypithisers led by character X have joined your fleet than have a small Bio of the Character. I.E- go to Tatooine and Obiwan joins then at the time of ANH luke joins. Same thing with Leia on Alderaan. At the Start you have the 3 main factions of the Corellian Treaty as your main Characters(Mon Mothma, Garm Bel-iblis and Bail Organa) or Darth Vader, Sidious & Tarkin. TArkin and Bel-Iblis start in charge of the main battlegroups and The other two start off on Coruscant for the Imps and Alderaan or Chandrila for the Alliance. As you take over planets you gain they're resources- Take over Mon Calamari- Increased ship production rates for Imps or Ability to Construct Mon Cal Cruisers for the Rebels. Ideas??

Grazie Grazie. OK. With Space Battles, Rebellion fell short, there was a massive lack of ability for younger gamers from actually using the interface with any great success. Myself, using the points in space i managed to severely damage an Imperial Armada of an SSD, ISD and Carracj Cruiser using 3 squads of Bwings. Send the B-wings to the 8 corners simultaneously, the enemy Ties will follow and as B-wings have stronger shields and lasers so after all the ties are dead. You may have lost half a squad or so but then do assaults on any ship you want. Weakest first as you will have a greater chance of crippling/ destroying it before the ships can get to the right place to enter Hyperspace. I'm not that good on Ground battles as i haven't played much on Battleground or Force Commander. So I can probably be classified as Jedi-Admiral in space like Keyen Farlander & 2nd leftentant Dirtside.

Be a true fan - Petroglyph is working hard for E3

Yes good luck to the whole team with the final polishing of the game. -
I never had a strong enough connection to run the Quakenet forum.
