I'm not a rebellion newbie by any means, but I'm new to Rebellion.com and I'm still learning new tricks. There are a couple things I never really learned though...like...what, exactly, do tractor beams do? everything in the game has an exact value and effect (as you can see by using RebEd) but Rebed only shows the tractor strength and range, but never says what it does? Do they allow ships to hold and snipe fighters? If so, why do ImpStars still suck so badly against rebel fighters? I look to the wizened Rebellion konw-it-alls for guidance

I'm fairly new to this site, and I've been wondering--how do you gain rank? I don't want to be known as a cadet--I've been playing Rebellion since it came out. Do I have to play online to rise in the ranks? I have dial up which is just sad. But the site history said that Rebellion.com has been around since '99, so can you play online with dial-up--its really now a very taxing game. I'd love to see what you "admirals" have got. Bring it.

You guys are too tough on good 'ol force commander--I played that game for quite a while, and found it fairly original. Rebellion shows that graphics aren't everything...it had a unique story and cool units and stuff...it really was the last RTS that had any different features from the classic build and attack format.

AMEN!!! I need an idiot's guide! I've been playing Rebellion since '98 and I'm so anxious to get Reloaded up and running, but it keeps telling me that the card file isn't a RebEd file. The whole thing is FUBAR...anyone...anywhere...know how to fix this?
