If you're headed to Jillian's Farmingdale...wait...D&B Farmingdale, tell me...if the old DDR machine is there, I'll see if I can remember one or two of the dances without tripping over my two left feet.

Well, after looking through Bath and Body Works and Lindt Chocolates for a few ladies on my gift list, I came across the Build-a-Bear Workshop in my local mall. If a significant other happened to watch (and love) Happy Feet, get her the penguin. Got one each for the ladies (had a sudden loss of imagination and named the penguins after them, probably not the smartest idea yet), and I picked up a third for a friend's daughter. Fortunately, I'm just about done shopping, hahahahaha!!!!!!

My preferred methods for dying: Any kind of instant death (anything where you are dead within 2 seconds) where you don't see it coming. As the ability to see my death becomes clearer, or the longer the period I have for death, the less desirable it becomes (I've seen too many of my friends waste away from cancer to count...though there are worse forms of death, cancer is pretty bad) The worst death...I'd have to say isolated incarceration. You know you'll be there until you die, and you cannot communicate with the outside world.

If you don't mind, I'd like to state my opinion of the Electoral College (with as little detailed study/ research as possible) with this separate post: As we know, virtually all elected positions in the United States are won or lost in a general election in the particular jurisdiction. However, the Presidential election -- which, incidentally, only fails to fall on a Leap year if the century/ 400 does not result in an integer -- works differently. The key to winning rests not on the popular vote, but rather on an Electoral vote. For those wondering how the numbers stack up (if I remember correctly): 1 Electoral vote = one Senate Seat Therefore, winning big states (let's say, California, New York, Texas, California, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania) leaves you with a huge advantage. Part of the reasoning behind this (this is where I'm going to get theoretical, validate me if I'm correct or correct me if I'm wrong) is that although the people do get to choose, the states are now empowerd with the choice. Ex. Evaders and I are running for President on opposing tickets. He will likely carry his home state, as would I (Yes, there are rare cases where a candidate loses his/ her home state -- quite humiliating), but that won't be the end. Although the popular vote will swing back and forth, he and I would be most concerned in states where loyalty is relatively divided. Such "Swing States" are usually where an election is won or lost. In the tight state campaigns, a swing of a few thousand votes may be enough to win a state outright. Of course, if you are very popular, you might want to try to get a clean sweep, but winning all 51 races (the 50 States + Washington D.C.) is all but impossible. Anyway, I think I made a satisfactory attempt on the basics of the electoral college. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Was your classmate sleeping through class, walking around in a stoned haze, or just stupid?

For any of you who are planning on coming to NYC over the holidays, feel free to come to the South Street Seaport and watch The Chorus Tree, featuring The Big Apple Chorus, of which I am a member. We are performing on Fridays at 6 PM and 7 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM and 4 PM. If you're looking for me, I will be at the Saturday and Sunday shows, as I work on Long Island, and I would therefore be unable to get to Downtown Manhattan in time.

We in the NY Metro area get commercials on that place from time to time...however, just like Denny's and Sonic, you can't find one for about 50 miles (approx. 80 KM for those International Reb fans playing at home)

well...one interesting question...I did have close to (if not over) 100 points before I came back on the board...is there something that requires you to log in every so often to not have your post counter reset?

It could have been worse...you could be using the Farenheight scale (If I'm correct, -12 F would translate to roughly -24.4 C...add a stiff wind to that...not fun at all)

Walk for 2 hours like that...I did, and I think my body will still be warming up tomorrow morning, hahahahaha

For those of you who are wondering...30-06: Caliber .30, Model 1906. It's a very common hunting rifle. If there are any real sportsmen out there, please correct me if I am wrong.

Personally, I find it entertaining...like Yankees/ Red Sox, Ohio State/ Michigan, Giants/ Cowboys, and Islanders/ Rangers., it makes for a good rivalry

First, nice to be back. To answer the question: I spent time fooling around with the settings on RebEd, and I noticed that if you lower a unit's Refined Materials Cost, you'll have more of them. Therefore, I have come to believe that each side has a set amount of Refined Materials that is used randomly. Therefore, if Imps have 2 ISDs and 2 VSDs, chances are they will be otherwise bare.

...would be interesting...I wonder how overall gameplay will be improved

I would have to say that the Non-Jedi are dead money...Grievous, though a real tough cookie, just won't be able to deal with the unlimited use of the Dark Side of the Force. This will leave us with Maul, Dooku, and Anakin. Anakin, though skilled (and unimaginably powerful in the Force), is still only explosive at this point. His best work came when he was pissed off. Darth Maul doesn't exhibit great control with the force, but his Saber/ Staff skills rival those of the Grievous 4-way. Dooku isn't as powerful as Anakin, and not as much of a brawler as Maul is, but he is very well balanced, a cool tactician, and a cunning warrior. Here's how I see this battle unfold: Dooku will likely be able to guide Anakin and Darth Maul to fighting. While they run themselves ragged, he will try to see both combatant's strengths/weaknesses. The instant one of the tho gains an advantage, he will likely go against logic and attack the guy who is winning, as he is the greater threat and will be the most dangerous if he wins. Since Skywalker will probably get frustrated at Darth Maul's weaponry, his power will likely flare and result in a sudden, vicious assault on Darth Maul. Shortly afterward, Count Dooku will start Force Throwing at Anakin, further enraging him. Once Anakin is decisively in control, Count Dooku will finally attack him with a combination of Force throwing, the most vicious Force Lighting attack known, and a lightsaber assault. This will probably overwhelm Anakin, ersulting in his defeat. The beleaguered Darth Maul, likely still shell-shocked at all this, will be a relatively easy mark. (Crossover alert!!) However, a British Covert-Ops agent called James Bond -- in a case of mistaken identity -- kills him with a well-placed shot in the chest with a Walther PPK. He feels Francisco Scaramanga is killed, when the real Scaramanga -- with spotting help from Nick Nack -- finally ends the life of Agent 007. All the Star Wars Characters are killed, but Christopher Lee survives and flourishes yet again.

Multiplayer Strategies: The Early Empire
CDL_Undertaker replied to Ragnar's topic in Rebellion Multiplayer
Here's the key to fixing that...Diplomacy. If you're playing as the Empire and your fleet isn't that strong, be sure to be ready with your Diplomats, as you will need to fix the Uprising Liable systems before too long. I don't remember who it was (My last Multiplayer Rebellion game had to be close to 5 years ago), but after about 750 days, a system he had started with had only a minimal change in Popular Support. I was able to spare a few ships, attacked through an adjoining sector, and I was able to domino the sector, since he had gotten all the systems by conquest. As a result, my Alliance military was able to recover and win. He had the game won and snatched Defeat from the jaws of Victory. -
and that's a bad thing? Tour 1, Mission 2...I leave the Imperial fleet completely destroyed, right down to the Stormtrooper Transport and Imperial Shuttle thinking they can sneak into the system...they weakened the A-Wing so that mission would actually take time and patience, hehehe

Well, I think we need time to gather as many entrants as possible. Lock the entry date for April 15th, etc. Formalize the match schedules. We also need to break this down into multi experience, lots of seasoned Vets coming out of the wood work now... you guys know who you are and I do too 1) No Multi Experience (we need to set these guys up with trainers, other rooks to practice) 2) Multi Experience - Not via MSN Zone (need a few practice games) 3) Multi Experience - Former MSN Zone (must drink 5 beers before match starts - handicapped) If anyone is interested, I'll help out with getting the rookies ready for competiton.
