I NEVER said they were more stupid than another species. In fact I never said anything about any other species. I've only expressed my opinion that the human race, or at least those parts of it that are on this rock, are stupid. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hey, SM, are there any more instalments in the works, or is that the end of it?

Had built up troop reserves for 3 regiments per planet when I went on my Death Star spree. After running on Fast for awhile to build the things the Rebels had sabotaged a good nimber of troops and shields. When I started using my DS's most of the galaxy went into uprising. This continued to worsen when rebel strike fleets bombarded trooper garrisons that had lost their sheild gens. Rebel forces were overwhelming sectors so fast that I went rapid-fire on the "Destroy System" button, killing 3 planets in 1 day. (This included Coruscant which had fallen to concentrated sabotage missions.) When the dust settled I was left with 1 major shipyard 20 battered planets and my 6 newest Destroyers. I was a noob back then. SO, all you newbies to Rebellion, learn from D16's experience(s), NO DS KILLING SPREES!

Now that can't be directed at me can it Scath? Especially not after good naturedly accepting being BEAK'd by you...

Rebellion was the one of the first computer games I played that wasn't a DOS based game. I can remember playing the old LOTR rpg's that made you come up w/ your own "pictures". When I started playing Rebellion I was so in awe of the game in general that I gave ZERO thought to the graphics. I was hooked from day 1. I'll still be playing it when I'm 40, I'm sure. Maybe by then I'll be able to mod the game myself.....

They can push/praise the new and modern all they want, it's not going to get me to buy a $50 game right when it comes out when I can wait a year or two and get it for half price or less. It's the instant gratification mentality that gets sooo many people into financial troubles that I'm trying to avoid. I can wait to buy EaW, and if the forum as a whole decides it's not that great, I may just not buy it.
