  6. Yeah, I vaguely remember some adrenalinevault files, one made Imperial TIE fighters, Star Destroyers, and Stormtroopers all about 1/1, another some wacky stats with the rebels, or something similar, and a third simply halved the stats for all Imperial/Alliance troops/ships, which is what I used prior to discovering RebEd. You don't need them anymore, you can do it all with RebEd these days. I can't think of any other files RebEd swept away with it's release from the old days. Edit: You can do all this with RebEd!
  7. Happy Christmas guys!
  8. Most impressive! Woo dude and happy Christmas!
  9. Like wow!
  10. Hahaha loved that!
  11. Jedi Knights are able to train jedi, assuming you've ticked that little box in RebEd.. Don't know what to suggest about the rescue mission thingy, unless you've got the Alliance Infiltraters edited in RebEd to do Imperial Commando missions

    Ewok?

if you're playing as Imperial and click on the Information bar that details things like missions, this will come up as the subdue mission as the main entry..
  13. In a battle they are brilliant multi-purpose troop carriers.. http://members.optushome.com.au/bobsmiff/at-atskijump.jpg but at ski jumping they are a bit crap.. Something I found earlier

  18. You lucky dog! http://img486.imageshack.us/img486/3068/jennifertigerdressay2.jpg PHWOAR!
  19. I had the same feeling/realization seeing Eagle's post!
  20. That's impossible! If you are optimising it then your reducing the quality by definition you are lowering the file size.. I reckon you may not be actually doing any optimization with Gimp. You can optimize with Irfanview as well. Download it off the net (it's free) and i'll talk you through optimizing using it, if you can't get your paws on a copy of Photoshop which would the better option.. EDIT: I think Eagle's talking about the 200x100 upload .jpg used for submitting cards Tex fella!
  21. So that´s it! Today was my last day on work! It was just like any other day and just a few people, hm, actually just one has recognised that this was my last day there. Another female mate told me that she will leave soon too, because it just sucks there. What´s just weird about all that is that I haven´t got the feeling yet that I´ve quit. I rather have the feeling that I got to go to work tomorrow again. Maybe it will take some time until I´ve fully realised that. New horizons Eagle mate! That's the way to look at it. Crap and soulless jobs aren't much fun in the long run. I was in the transport industry in one capacity or another for about thirteen years before my Doctor pointed out I hated it.. Now I work at the Zoological Society of London, of which London Zoo is part, and absolutely love it. I don't just feel a sense of purpose for conservation after a day's graft, but get to spend time with animals also on a daily basis. I fed a tiger the other day..
  22. Loosing capital ships looses some sector popular support where ever it happens, so to kick start some support on a system you've got your eyes on, try and take out an enemy fleet. The same goes with regiments, destroy them on a system through bombardment BUT don't invade a system increases popular through out a sector. For Imperial players having Palpatine on Coruscant doubles character's leadership, which is key to incite uprising missions. Don't mix with special forces on such missions though, their leadership won't increase over time. None of this seems to apply to Yavin though, their first words being: 'Mothma.' sorry.. No. Though building additional 'slots' would be absolutely brilliant, and makes perfect sense! Use characters and/or special forces on a 'rescue' mission. Flooding a system with for example twelve required regiments will suppress a rebellion in time. Use characters, Imperial Commandos, or alliance guerrillas on 'suppress' uprising missions. Again with Palpatine on Coruscant makes this very easy for Imperial characters because their leadership s doubled. Also, when an uprising is successfully suppressed, your popular support increases slightly throughout the sector. I generally garrison systems with about nine regiments, three of which should have very high detection values. Fighters also add to a system's ability to detect enemy missions, as do capital ships, and of course the presence of a general. Recruit together if you're the rebels! Though I don't recommend this as the Empire, as it will generally mean Vader and Palpatine are together on Coruscant. IE: game over! Use RebEd to alter the ship hyperspace times. 80 is stupid. I generally play with all ships at 60, friend and foe alike. The AI makes lots of pointless hyperspace journeys. Make them slightly quicker, even 50 all round shouldn't be to dramatic. Are you using decoys as part of your missions? If not then start doing so. As a rule of thumb, taking out an LNR defense on a system defended by say six or seven basic regiments and about double that in fighters, should be achievable more or less by nine commando or infiltrator units if about two are used as decoys, about 75% of the time I guess. Be wiry of systems with Sullestian regiments on account of that 35 detection rating, and don't even bother to use special forces on more or less anything on systems where there are more than eight troop regiments present. That's where force sensitive characters come into play.. Your welcome!
  23. I use Photoshop, but I guess it must be more or less the same thing in Gimp. When you're saving your 200x100 picture in .jpg formula simply optimize the crap out of it; ie: reduce the quality of it. Then you should have a nice, manageable picture with a low kb size the site will except.
  24. YES! I'm with this! This is a hypothetical question after all, so assuming someone lurking here is an eccentric billionaire suddenly overcome with an extreme dose of the fluffiness, let's set our sights warm and high! Hang overs on a truly epic scale will be much easier to deal with with some Pacific surf than a cold winter mist in Europe..
  25. Simple wishes are far more likely to come true.. However, my credit card bill not coming through the door and freaking me out every month would be nice
