  1. lol, that's wack, Tofu. Now I gotta keep mine in my pocket to hide it... precious... we wants it, the precious..
  2. I d/led it last week... seemed more like a demo than a beta to me
  3. I know what you mean Tofu, but thats why they keep creating newer, better, cooler models. The video iPod is really an iPod with the added function of being able to play videos. I feel that Apple is just testing the waters of the portable video market with this. It is my belief that some time in 2006, Apple will release a more video/movie-centered iPod. I know I'll be first in line for something like that.
  4. Ugh. Tofu, I, too, am involved in my school's Robotics club and I know how grueling it can be to raise all of the necessary funds. My Robotics club can hardly sell anything, cause when a club is selling something (ie. any type of candy) then no other club can sell it. This is made especially hard cause our school budget was voted down... twice in a row. Big cuts to the Robotics budget have made it unlikely that my team will make it to even a Regional this year, let alone the Nationals... and this was our year.
  5. Hmm, never really thought of it that way before, Defender. But I see what you mean now. Hmm
  6. lol. AHHh MY EYES! Anyway, interesting article, Tex.
  7. You are a very talented writer, BadSamaritin. Keep it coming!
  8. With the release of the new video-capable iPod and the recent flurry of discussion about it arount the 'net, I felt it was appropriate to bring a little of that excietment here to swrebellion. I know for a fact that my parents will be getting me a video-capable iPod for Christmas, at the latest. I have been holding out on replacing my cheap iPod mini in hopes of a new model being released. I plan to stock it with all the tunes of my ancient 4 GB (yes, you heard right- 4GB) iPod plus more. I hope to find a way to put DVDs onto it through my computer, though that 2.5" screen is gonna be a big headache, but I think it will be worth it for the next long car trip or flight. The only negative thing for me, really, is the lack of a FireWire port, as I have several older acessories (FM transmitter, for example) that ran on the FireWire port. I will just replace them with USB 2.0 things then, which is probably exactly what Apple wants, but is, as I see it, unavoidable. Anyway, just curious about how many of you out there actually own iPods (or will get one soon). < PS: anyone know of a case that fits the video iPod? I couldn't find anything on Apple's site that would fit the slimmer model. Any help is much appreciated. >
  9. Congrats, Tofu! I hope my journey will be as swift and easy as yours!
  10. Ahh, I see. Thanks, Defender! It's really an amazing program.
  11. I agree, Tofu... I think I saw someone like him at Coney Island last week. Hmm...
  12. lol, an Art teacher trading stocks in class? That doesnt seem likely in my school. The Art teachers always seem like poor, homeless people. Telling us to bring in egg cartons and milk jugs... weird.
  13. Wasn't there a list of Star Destroyer names on Mask's site? Anywho, these are some I've never heard before; good work!
  14. Sounds familiar to an original GameBoy game I own by the same name, Darth Rob. I wonder if they are the same...
  15. If worst comes to worst, just download a program to convert it. I forget what the program is I use (It's on my family comp, which is always being used by someone else), but just google for audio converting programs. Most of them are fairly straightfoward and easy to use, and are, of course, freeware.
  16. Hey, I just tried to download the Traitor program from the Mask's site, and the only thing in the zip was an application labled Traitor.exe. I open it and get this DOS-looking window that says 'Enter filename:'. Whenever I type something in and hit enter it says 'Canot open file'. I have no idea what to do. I had heard somewhere that instructions were included in the zip, but there aren't any. Any help would be much appreciated.
  17. I have often wondered about this too, and have been unable to find a solution. Anybody know how?
  18. Hey, just wondering if any of you have seen this yet. Seems that Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Heaven got an exclusive interview with David Silverstein, Associate Producer at Lucasarts. Anywho, here's the link: http://swgb.heavengames.com/eaw/interview.php. Good stuff!
  19. omg, that nader thing was awsome, tofu! Reminded me of old animated movies, where the bad guy always does a song like that, lol.
  20. I'm really starting to get addicted to this. It's much better, even, than many SW novels, IMO. ...*glares at "The Worst SW Novel Awards!!!" thread*...
  21. ......... *agrees with tofu* .........
  22. Actually, Mad, they had a MTV special-thingy on it yesterday. You can probably stream it from te internet from MTV.com. There's a direct link on the lucasarts.com site, I think. It just showed a cool new trailer with some new footage, but it's nice to finally see something new.
  23. NEW EVIDENCE: I happened to be flipping through my "Guide to the Star Wars Universe" book (yea, im that geeky) and I came across something labeled 'nano-destroyer'. It reads, and I quote, "These artifically created viruses dismantle an infected person one cell at a time. Nano-destroyers were the basis of the disease infecting Mon Mothma seven yeras after the Battle of Endor." Under Mon Mothma, the book says about her death only that she succumbed to a terrible wasting disease, and that her life was saved by the Jedi healer, Cilghal. So... this doesnt really solve anything, just brings up new questions about how and why Mon Mothma...-- ah, screw it, I'm going to bed. 'Night.
  24. You might try combining 2 short words you know to make a cool, new word. Like Lucalom or Bricom or Rekalock or something simple like that... Sorry if I seem a little off, my Girlfrield and I just brok up today
  25. I gotta agree with Tofu on this one. Save, blow up the planet, and load it if you dont get Mom Mothma. Pitiful Rebellion... they cannot win
