Ironically enough, you're right whilst still being wrong, Eagle! At least, I think you are. Note how much longer my hair is in those picture as opposed to other pictures- I'm growing it out to shoulder-length, plus I'm growing the beard. I plan to be a Jesus-impersonator by next September at a bare minimum. If I'm lucky I'll take on the Jesus mantle by Senior year, and I can put on the costume for some of our "school spirit" stuff. Superhero day, decades day- it's good for both of those! I can also be a jerk to some of our local prayer circles by running into their midst and shouting that their prayers have caused me to return, and that I'm here to take them to their kingdoms in heaven! The guy who stands on the side of the road with daily Bible quotes on why we're all going to hell- he's going to get a special visit from "Jesus".

I plan to piss off my friend by essentially becoming a bum at his house once this thing comes out. (He has a 360, I don't). The graphics certainly look beautiful, and the user interface is supposed to rock. I hope they don't bork up the story like they did in KOTORII, though. This thing better stay relatively true to cannon! Then again, I avoid all cannon from before A New Hope, so I'm actually good to [/i]not[/i] care about whether or not its cannonical. EPIC WIN ON MY PART!

It is actually pretty good. Not laugh-out-loud funny, but a certain amount of that is due to the fact that this is a script and is being read rather than acted out. I think one of your issues might lie in trying to use all three characters, though. Choose one of them to sort of act as the "Spokesperson," while the rest all nod fervently and agree with him. Obi-Wan currently semi-fulfills this role, so he would be my choice. Certainly the other two can jump in from time to time, but it's best if they have just a quick throw-away joke every ten jokes or so (At least, this is my opinion). For future scripts and the like (Star Wars and otherwise) check out the "Random Creative Writings" thread in the "Outside Interests" section. You might enjoy some of them, and you can post your own in there as well.

Last I heard my copy is still in Miami. It's been there for three days. It's probably been raped by now. Then again, maybe it'll give birth to Invincible. That one'll probably read like a Crack Baby anyhow...

The preview is out. I'll probably see it and wind up hating everyone involved pationately for it. Indy was around for WWII. This is going to take him out of it and give him- what was it, a grand nephew?- in the form of Shia LaBauf (sp?), the kid from Transformers and (if you were young enough to watch The Disney Channel eight years ago) a lot of crappy kids' movies. Supposedly (That being the key word) it'll harken back to the earlier days of movies and focus more on stunt men and the like instead of special effects and the like. Here's hoping.

Non para Francais. Fortunately I do have a few good English jokes for you to make about bad-looking local women: "There are lots of them and a few of us. The odds are good, but the goods are odd." If there aren't many: "We have tons of women around here, but not very many of them." "The women here are like parking spaces- all of the good ones are taken, and the only ones left are handicapped, reserved, or way too far out there." All of these are stolen from (oddly enough) a college book.

I was gonna say. Thats a lot of polar bears you guys have over there. Edit: Im not letting this die. Bigfoot on display at Berkley Give it up, Rob. Massive apes aren't real- there's a reason everyone knows that Stanford is better than Berkley, and this is it.

About 42 posts ago. So now that I'm seventeen I officially have to start looking at colleges, and I've found my dream school- Olin. Getting in will be hard as hell, and there's a little bit under a one in five chance of me making it. On the up side, if I do make it in, the entire education is covered by a scholarship valued at $130,000. Yeah, wowzas. It's the only school that I've found so far that is not only an amazing engineering institute, but also encourages students to take a liberal arts class or two (My fiction writing can (hopefully) grow if I make it in!) The school is uber competative, but it seems like they choose nice people for the student body and the like. Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'll be able to take AP Physics next year, so that might hurt my chances unless I take a summer course at the community college (Which I likely will if I need to- I rock at Physics). Sorry, I know that's kind of irrelevant, but I wanted to talk about this... and now I have.

Actually I've heard from a few that they're afraid of people whose chins they can't see... Yes, that was my reaction as well. It also prompted me to ask why the heck muttonchops ever died out in that case. Edit: Alrighty, folks, it's now March 1 as of eight minutes ago. Here, now, are some images of my beard after two months. Anyone who laughs too hard will either be shot or forced to cough up a lung from laughing too hard in the ultimate display of irony. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/DarthTofu/Photo8.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/DarthTofu/Photo11.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/DarthTofu/Photo12.jpg

Matthew Stover is officially my hero. Here is an excerpt from his blog:

Not to be a jerk, but you never responded to my earlier post about avatar issues, E. I'll mention that my new sig addition didn't take, either.

...Revelation came out on 2/26...

Just for the record I still don't have it due to severe weather... Grr...

I thought I remembered one in Chicago that was supposed to be able to power itself through wind energy. It had a special design that would channel the air upward around the tower- it actually looked kind of like a piece of taffy, kind of strange-looking, but still pretty cool. I'll have to see if I can find what it's called in Popular Science again...

Call me nuts, I thought it was time for someone to die, finally. Chewie was a good candidate for it, seeing as nobody could really write for him very well, and his death was what it took to finally open up the Star Wars universe to some darkness. Bantam novels were just too happy-go-lucky, superweapon-of-the-week for me. The tight structure that Del Ray has is one of their greatest assets, IMHO.

... I have to wait until tomorrow. Damn you, well-meaning friends who purchased the book on Amazon but who aren't getting it shipped to their home until after six o'clock! DAMN YOU! ... For the record, despite everyone else's objections I still like Traviss the best out of all three authors. Her style of news-esque writing is more realistic in my opinion. You get a feeling for the scope of these events, how they're affecting the entire galaxy. I can see where everyone is coming from with the complaints about her Mandalorian obsession, but I rather like the Mandalorians as a whole- seeing their culture develop beyond the Spartan Spartan culture we saw in KOTOR (Yes, I just used the adjective Spartan twice in the same sentence with two separate meanings) is kind of fun, and they're certainly interesting. Her style of writing does make it harder to foreshadow, granted. Then again, in the real world how much foreshadowing do you see? In particular I liked her take on the GAG- the best and brightest and most loyal doing the worst work. It really got that whole controversy of good vs. good going. I always liked Allston, but he sort of went and got himself bogged down with trying to be new- he broke away from his strengths and, well, to be quite frank, they were called his strengths for a reason. He did a great job of inflicting pain in, say Iron Fist, but I'm not feeling it as much from him as of Fury. Denning... Er, I've made myself very clear on my opinion of that man.

... I'm seventeen, guys, not eighteen. You all think that I'm older than I am- it's probably because I act so mature around here! All the same, thanks kindly for the happy birthdays. I already knew what I was getting/got in advance, seeing as I got my car stereo system about a month and a half early and installed it in mid-January. I got the Family Guy Blue Harvest from my sister, and two new pairs of shoes... My feet are size fourteen. Finding two size fourteen shoes in a store is, believe it or not, an event worthy of celebration in my household. My friends gave me a CD of old songs from Supernatural and (arriving tomorrow, unfortunately) Revelation, the newest LotF book, which comes out today (on my birthday!)... Despite the fact that I told them not to get anything. Ah, well.

I just changed my avatar to coincide with my new rank at 4,000 posts. Under my info stuff it shows up as Azazel from Supernatural, but on the forums it's still me in my bloody hospital garb. Bit of an issue, there....

Who in their right mind would reject that image? It's practically part of American History just by existing!

Horrible news! A third of our numbers have been culled by the School Play Titanic, which required some clean shaving! Now the participants on my small island are down to two! In all reality, that means only me, truth be told. Oddly enough my soul patch and mustache are slow to come in- for the other guy only his soul patch and mustache have come in. Nothing more.

Rob ought to enjoy this.

... Unfortunately I don't watch Star Trek. My Sci Fi/Fantasy fixes come in the forms of Star Wars and Supernatural. I'd not have minded getting Dean Winchester.

It's eerie how close this whole thing has come to everyone's personality. Either we watch/read too much Sci Fi and Fantasy, or whoever wrote that program is good.

Speculations about the next novel to come out are all that I really have left for discussion. The only spoilers I know of are the ones that were posted on Wookiepedia under "Personel" and what the back cover says.

Meh, I still like her style, even if you all don't think it works. I can see where you come from with your hatred for the Mandalorian tangents that don't seem very connected to the story, but I still think she writes strongly. It hit me with some force when Jori Lekauf (sp?) died. I still adamantly oppose letting Troy Denning even look at a computer that's capable of typing. His poor, cookie-cutter characters and pathetic, PBS-style plots have nothing. He tries to compensate for his lack of talent by placing other people's characters in dangerous positions, wantonly killing, and giving everyone a level of intelligence rarely seen outside of microwavable food products. I'll also point out that he totally disregards science on a few occasions- most notably Star by Star. Further, he was the one who went and threw the hated "Evil switch" on Jacen, completely changing his character, and he totally borked up Lumiya- I'm glad he only got to play with her for one book, and I'm really glad his stupid Alema is dead, now.
