  1. Umm.. its a Wii It's processor is basically two processors from the Gamecube. It's way lower than what you'd expect from XBox 360 or PS3, not much better than a PS2. So basically all the great technology you see with The Force Unleashed, yea most of that won't appear on the Wii version. You will, however, get a dueling mode with a lightsaber, since the same team doing this Clone Wars game is doing the The Force Unleashed Wii version.
  2. Basically if you set the stats too low, Rebellion doesn't understand it. Of course, it could mean your warez is incomplete or corrupt. As we don't support warez, we hope you will be able to find a decent original of the game to try.
  3. Thanks for that. I merged the topic .. how nice is phpBB3
  4. Now Nvidia users can add their video cards to the Folding@home project. We know you're not spending all that time playing games with your video card. Use its processing power for a worthy cause. Nvidia Folding@home beta client Requirements: A Nvidia 8000/9000 series card (all those support Cuda which this client uses). Reports of 8800 GTs that can go up to 4000 PPD (points-per-day), that beats the pants out of all other clients. ------ I guess this my update for June. Our team score right now is 188203 with 176 WU. Our team ranking is 4303 of 126821. (Up another 2000!) If you add your Nvidia card, we can reach our current point value in only 47 days! Another month and a half to double what we've contributed so far. Multiple people contribute, we can easily reduce that by multiple factors. Let's see how far our team can rank up.

  7. I think it adds some needed randomness to the game. Otherwise its a game of "who can calculate the best numbers" type of simulation. Once one person locks in their game plan and gets ahead, there is really no way for the opponent to come back. There is no reason to play things out then. I think Rebellion gameplay would benefit from more random events (good and bad) in the game, not the removal of randomness.
  8. Well you should be able to put the arguments after that path. I don't really know what the issue is -mod PLANETPACK.Big,SWSOUND.Big,SWMUSIC.Big,GENHODS.Big,SHIPHODS.Big,CORE.Big -luatrace -hardwareCursor
  9. Some of the converters I've used have a place to specify how to break down the file into parts (2 CD - 700 MB, etc). From the reviews I've been reading, BadaBoom Media Converter seems the solution to long conversion times. It is designed to use the latest Nvidia cards to handle the processing. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-gtx-280,1953-24.html Sadly I think its still in preview for hardware-oriented review sites only. No idea when it will be available for consumers.
  10. I guess not. I've been trying to get IRC services running again, but its not been a priority to debug.
  11. I am testing out some things to get the site going
  12. I don't know if this minor appearance justifies the work, given there isn't much detail anyway. But I'll let Eville decide if its worth his time Or better.. you can learn to model it yourself. What a good learning project
  13. Not correct, there is DirectX 9 on Vista and all those games should play just fine. Most games that have DirectX 10 support can have this toggle between DX10 and DX9.
  14. Yes conversion is slow. And you have to worry about which formats are compatible. I've used Handbrake with some success (though not for iPod). It's free - http://handbrake.fr/
  15. If you are really considering scripting, LUA is probably the most popular for game engines. Many people should be familiar with it if you provide the proper objects to work with
  16. I'm sure most of us do. But given there are so many other places to talk about the books, you really haven't given us anything original to talk about Really we have tons of posts on http://www.swrebellion.com on the various novels and such. I'm not a big comic book fan myself.
  17. Speaking of adventure games, I played Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. A sequel to The Longest Journey, its a mix of fantasy world and future-technology. It was a great storyline.. if you like games with good storytelling. Of course it doesn't mean its has the best puzzles or combat, but is a mix of light involvement between the storytelling scenes. I just hate it ends on a cliffhanger .. but at least there will be more sequels.
  18. Be civil guys. All the instructions are there. Do you have a specific question relating to those instructions? We don't know where you actually installed Homeworld 2. You must have the correct path there The shortcut I use is D:\Games\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe -mod PLANETPACK.Big,SWSOUND.Big,SWMUSIC.Big,GENHODS.Big,SHIPHODS.Big,CORE.Big -luatrace -hardwareCursor Try that, replacing the path to Homeworld2.exe with whatever yours is
  19. Yea the integrated graphics aren't going to do you well for any modern games. But it can play what you want there. If I did the conversion right (in Google): 109.90 Euros = 169.32 U.S. dollars That isn't bad.. but you're buying generation old technology. It's probably the cheapest dual core. I don't know the prices where you are (with VAX and such), but I would prefer an Intel system for that money. And not buy on Ebay. Tech Report's Econobox http://www.techreport.com/articles.x/14610/2 Processor Intel Pentium E2180 $69.99 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L $89.99 Memory 2GB Kingston DDR2-800 $38.99 Graphics Integrated Total price - $200 = 129.81 Euros If you're overclocking to get better performance, Intel blows away the AMD chips. --------------- Underdog11 is really adding points. Score of 13413 with 136 WU and rising!
  20. I think you and Jahled over here need to have a friendly competition http://forums.swrebellion.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2024&p=98422#p98422
  21. This is something that has been hard to duplicate... because it works on Eville's machine as well as many others. If we had an easy fix, I'm sure it would go out. But right now, there isn't an answer: I'm sure Eville has looked at it more than anyone.
  22. Brad3661, may want to wait for Eville Jedi. I think he's preparing another release and you'd probably want to avoid duplicating conflicting changes. I can't speak for Eville though, you'll need to talk to him directly.
  23. Very cool. Did you render a box of Mass Effect?
  24. I'm sure Eville Jedi intends to release all of this open-source.. it's not like he gets paid. Even better, if you want to contribute code, you just need ask him. He's always looking for good help. Sounds like some really good stuff and would bring the mod up to another level.
  25. Was there a question? You can certainly make 3D models for people. As this isn't a flea market though, I encourage people interested to contact him directly for anything he is selling.
