  1. I've always had problems with the Rebellion interface. That is what I think turns off most people. More 3D with less "windows" to open would be ideal. I never liked the "jump anywhere to anywhere" system either. It doesn't give a sense of territory, plus people can just leave their ships in hyperspace for months ... not realistic. Obviously the Rebels had the advantage of "surprise attacks" but I think you can incorporate that into other avenues of the game system. I would almost say, make Sins of a Solar Empire into Rebellion 2. It has a great interface and works pretty well... my only concern is it lacks true units other than spaceships... no characters, no special forces, no troops, etc.
  2. I'm surprised.. he has a pretty extensive background http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Noval_Garaint
  3. Maybe they wanted to save him for the special event, where he captures Han Solo?
  4. Rogue Squadron can hardly be considered a 'flight sim' - its more of an arcade style than anything else. X-Wing Alliance was the last true sim. I know fans on TheForce.net have been calling for a "Tie Fighter: Empire" game, but LucasArts hasn't given any sign they would make a new flight sim. Unless LucasArts commissions Lawrence Holland to do another X-Wing game, the SW flight sim game is essentially dead.
  5. I went ahead and removed it. Joruus C'Baoth is not in the original game.
  6. I never played the GameCube versions, but I loved the N64 original. I don't know if they can remaster the Wii controls to make it work. I can see the controls being very easy.. or very hard, depending on how they decide to implement it.
  7. According to Wookieepedia, there are references to almost every character except Menndo. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Menndo Most of the other bounty hunters are from Galaxy Guides such as Labansat http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Labansat Maybe LucasArts wanted a range of characters from different areas. Or despite not having an actual storyline, they wanted to expand on such characters to make them their own. Often game developers want to add to the universe, not just rehash the same old stuff.
  8. IP unblocked. It doesn't block IE7, many users IE7 just fine.
  9. Seems like you would need two rectangles then. Different widths would give you the bar depending on the loyalty scale.
  10. How is HoSp doing? The official statistics are being revamped at the moment, but if these are correct, SWR is currently ranked about 100 away from HoSp's team. http://www.hardfolding.com/fh_stats_test/index.php?pz=101&tnum=56531 http://www.hardfolding.com/fh_stats_test/index.php?pz=101&tnum=96904 The SWRebellion team is 96904 if you want to join up http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=96904
  11. It is not meant to be a balanced game.. at least, not with any of the existing races. Consider this as an alpha test ... with more polished beta to come (with the Rebel factions)
  12. Jeez EA... losing Tiberium, disbanding Ensemble Studios immediately after Halo Wars, DRM in Spore.. You wonder if there's any passion for games anymore or whether its run by a bunch of company execs.
  13. Palpatine created the separatist movement to start the Empire... why not more fuel to the fire of the Rebels? He was a careful-plotting, ego-maniac with desires for power.
  14. Server hickup... Nothing to see here.. These aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along.
  15. Anyone played (for us Americans, its Indigo Prophecy) It's basically a cinematic movie. To get through it, there is some arcade-style button mashing to do. But the story is incredible, the dedication to get the motion capture and dialogue. It's very creepy in some parts, but I still want to keep playing.

  17. You can always do a installation into a different directory. It doesn't mean you won't end up reinstalling things though. You might as well reformat anyway, unless you have really lots of space not to worry about it.

    Question

    Start here: http://warlords.swrebellion.com/wp/?p=9
  20. If the system drive itself is gone, then there's no chance to do a system restore. I'm questioning whether you're actually getting into Windows... if the OS is still working, then system restore can be done from safe mode by pressing F8 (before the Windows boot screen comes up) and selecting Safe Mode.
  21. While some of the scenarios could work, most involve rather small number of ships. Tying some of them together and adding numbers of ships could really help make it a decent mission.
  22. The only thing close is Sins of a Solar Empire
  23. And its not being released for PC ...
  24. Considering she's the governor from Alaska... I would say most Alaskans would support the drilling. It would give people income where they wouldn't get anything from the environment otherwise (besides fishing)
  25. What version of Sins are you using? Version number and language
