  1. I don't know how meters are more accurate than feet. Whatever scale you measure, it's only as accurate as you can measure it. Anyway, America tries to make the effort to change, but the metric system will always be mostly for science only. Just the way it is... we like to be unique

  5. This is mainly for me to jot down notes concerning the test mission I'm doing. For Eville to read mostly I finished up the test mission. Its a very easy, only a few minutes mission. Nothing fancy, just trying to get something that works. Eventually, I want to make it longer, have the enemy spawn opposite from whereever your defenders are. And if I remember the Redemption scenario from X-Wing correctly, leaving the area around the ship unguarded would cause the enemy to get daring and try to take out the ship in one swoop. Thus only one group to try and take out all the Ties Here are my notes so far 1) Music really enhances things.. are you planning on getting the music pack in this release? I didn't have a copy of the latest music installer on this hard drive, but I did find an older music.zip. Is this the same version? I wouldn't want to have to change music references as I found some good pieces for this mission. 2) Right now, the damage effects don't fire off in the beginning ships. I'd like it move and show that the ships are damaged, but it doesn't seem to work right. 3) I'm thinking now that the orientation of the ship when it spawns/exits hyperspace is directly due to the position where it started from and the position that it appeared. Any ideas? 4) X-Wing S-Foils animation doesn't seem to work. It fires with S-Foils closed. 5) Anyway to change the overlay colors? I know people are probably use to the "green=friendly, red=enemy" of HW2, but the Empire should definitely be green and the Rebels should be red. 6) Did every ship gain the ability to drop mines for some reason? 7) X-Wings and Tie Bombers don't work too well. When they get in a dogfight, they don't do much. I just told the Bombers to go attack another ship.. and the X-Wings do fairly well when lined up for the shot. Took down the manuever speed of the Bombers too, seemed to help in that arena. Something about the hyperspacing, when I hyperspace the carrier off the map, it still remains there seconds later. It's weird. Tell me if you have any ideas.. I'm gonna load it up at the same link I gave you Eville

  11. I don't really like InvisionFree, but its your decision. If "Galactic Conquest" is going to be the name, I recommend you change it. I know the group "Galactic Conquest Online" is using it for their HW2 project.

  15. I'm thinking that the hyperspace jump requires a large amount of energy to initiate, but very few to actually maintain while traveling in hyperspace.
  16. Really there hasn't been much imagery on YV ships. Hopefully we'll see some designs by Eville Jedi from his HW2 Warlords mod.
  17. I think KOTOR was trying to fulfill the average Star Wars fan, not necessarily the big RPG uberfans. Dumbing it down, more or less, didn't seem to affect how well it was received.
  18. Oh I'm sure you'll attract many members. We're here to support other endeavors (though you may get some competition from the Freelancer mod guys hehe) As to steal... well I don't have any control of them. Usually they're pretty active enough for multiple sites. I know many people still active here and on SWS, SWC, some other sims as well.

  21. To add to what Eville said, this means no big in-game Death Stars or anything - unless someone wants to figure them out If there's something you seriously want to see from the movies or Expanded Universe, tell us.

  23. Most of the good professional ones are expensive. You definitely get what you pay for though. I'm sure Eville and Mask can help you out.

  25. Well mostly I'd like to see something backward compatible. But my attempts to crack the RebED card system have been failures. So we can make this really new, but probably won't have use of the old cards.
