Sounds good Krytos. Personally I intend to go out on a aggressive mission against the sith and with every one in my new squadron being fighter aces I intend to obliterate the enemy untill I get promoted to a captain of a small ship. probably a corvette or something that can carry my squadron of fighters. Later on I also intend to reorganise the Phalax Fighters so they dont all fly Preybirds. Also if possible I intend to have my jedi abilities discovered so I will do that for a while and then leave because I don’t like the lifestyle. eather way it should get some more premotions.

Later that day Tython and T’char took all the pilots one at a time through some battle sequences to find which fighter they would be best at. By the end of the day Tython was exhausted but satisfied. All his pilots fitted into there new fighters and best of all they all fitted into three types of ships with each group having four pilots. Because of this Tython had split the squadron up into flights with each flight made up of a different type of fighter. One week latter and several credits less well off he could safely say that all his pilots were killing machines and that as a team of four they were almost unbeatable. Because of all this T’char had finished his contract so Tython paid him and said “So how many favors do I owe you now six or seven?â€

Tython looked at T’char expectantly hoping that he would say yes. T’char looked up and said “OKâ€

Tython walked into his new mess hall and took a good look at his new pilots. Oh!! No!! Tython thought as he realised that all the pilots in his squadron where the worst pilots on the entire moon. Tython suddenly desided that he needed somthing much stronger than ale. He stumbled out of the room in shock and headed for the local pub. The first thing Tython noticed as he walked into the pub was that it was unusually full for this time of day. But then there had only just been a battle where many people had lost close friends. Suddenly Tython saw T'char and he froze in shock. But I saw T'char fly towards a enemy cruiser Tython thought. Then he realised that the cruiser that T'char had flow towards had been the ship that had been disabled half-way through the battle.... T'char had taken out a sith cruiser all by himself. Tython quickly walked over and sat down. "So that was you who got the cruiser for us were you?" Tython asked "Yea it was just a virus I picked up a few years ago. It plays havoc with the enemys guns and engines." T'char replied. "Well I'm just glad your okay. I would have missed you and you still owe my 10 hours of training." Tython said. Suddenly an idea formed in one of Tythons minds maybe he could get T'char to train his new squadron. The idea sounded pretty good but he would still need T'chars consent. Tython turned to T'char and asked "So have you got any work yet? Because if you dont I'll pay you to help train the worst pilots on this whole plant and make them into extreme killing machines."

A signal suddenly was broudcasted to all the pilots in Rasors Squadron. "Multiple contacs coming in from sector 12.34.56 squadron blue and red fly to intercept enemy fighters." Rasor quickly got his squadron together and headed for the quardinates. The closer Rasor got the battle the more worried he became. He called all his pilots to spreadout and work in pairs. The first casualties came before eather side had fired a shot. A Tie pilot flew in a collision course with one of Rasors pilots and they both dodged and the Tie slammed into another X-Wing that was flying past. After that the battle got very intence. Rasor knew that they could beat the fighters because they were backed by a frigate but the question was would he be one of the pilots to survive. The X-Wings started fighting the Ties and the advantage of having the frigate was quickly apparant when a tie flew too close to the frigate it would seem to instantly explode. so far the battle was going well. Then Rasor noticed the ISD just coming into firing range of the fighters skirmish.

Tython just nodded and said "Its like people say. Where theres a will theres a way. And with the Rebel Alliance there was definetly a will to defeat the imperials even if at the beggining there was no was for them to win..... The strange thing is that even though the rebels were doing some serious damage to the imperials they were still not getting that much support. But even with the little support they had they still did a lot of damage and survived.... I think the most powerful weapon the rebels had was there intelligence network. With all the information they recieved they knew exactly when and where to hit, and also they were given a long warning before they were ever attacked at there bases." Tython replied.
-
This was Rasors first command. He was the leader of a single squadron of X-Wings. The call had just gone out for a "escort" to be provided for some of the capital ships so they could get closer to the planet and the imperial transport. Rasor quickly orded all his pilots to there fighters where they launched and started flying in a defensive pattern around the Revolution.

C3PO was irritating with his stating the obvious and always trying to stop people from doing dangerous stuff. But the worst thing about him is his abillity to always talk at just the wrong moments. Mind you R2-D2 could get irritating with his always being right and caring for his master but at least he has some sort of personality to cover it up.

Tython looked at Karn and nodded in agreement. "That is very true but even if a huge ship has a bad captain but an excellent crew. I mean the Captain may give a command in a battle and his number one commander would be able to take the command and change it to make the ship a good fighting unit. But in that case the captain is not really the one commanding the ship. It is his right hand man.". "Mind you I find it interesting that the rebel alliance won very few major battles untill just before the destruction of the first death star. After that they seem to win almost every battle they get into?". Tython replied.

Even with the arrival of the Sirius V the winner of the battle was still questionable. Tython quickly started to engage the enemy fighters who had turned back into the fray with the arrival of their cruisers. As Tython fought he noticed that the nighthawk was starting to fly away from one of the enemy cruisers that for some reason had cessed firing at the Sirius V. Tython hoping to take advantage of the disabled cruiser called to all squadron "Enemy cruiser at 12 o'clock. Lets take this sucker out.". The fighters flew in giving cover for the bombers who quickly destroyed the cruiser. As the bombers made their first run the Sirius V fired both its huge Ion cannons and take out three of the enemy cruisers.which were quickly attacked by other groups of bombers. Soon after the battle was over Tython was called into his wing commanders office. Housan started by saying "Nice job in that last battle Kid.... The MOAF high command has desided that after you performance in that last battle that you deserve a promotion. You have been given the command of a squadron of fighters. They are the 216 squadron. Your new quarters and office are over at section 53.". Tython left the room in shock and slowly walked down the hall pondering his new command.

Sure he has less mobility but I think he intended to die there so that he could guide Luke through the rest of his journey towards becoming a Jedi.
-
A message flashed across Tythons mind. "Mayday. Mayday. This is the Nighthawk I. Have taken exstensive damage and am requesting assistance.". "No!! Not T'char!!" Tython thought. "I've already paid for another 10 hours of training." He watched in horror as the Nighthawk I flew towards the enemy cruisers. "Goodbye T'char. You where my one true friend and trainer." said Tython as he charged back into the fray.

Tython sat and sipped his drink as he thought about a good reply. "Its true a good pilot will turn a terrible and old ship into a lethal killing machine. But even an excellant pilot cannot makeup for the failings of his ship if it is a bad one." Tython replied. "I mean. That preybird I flew waas really old and so slow that no matter what I did there would have been no way to get out of that situation. So there is only so much a pilot can makeup for.". Although if you have a terrible pilot and an excellent fighter there life expectancy will probably be about 1-2 battles.

Tython strolled into the bar. He had just arrived for the beginning of his hard earnt long service leave. he walked over to the bar and ordered a drink as he waved to T'char. After getting his ale he strolled over to enquire about who T'chars new friends were. As he got closer he knowtest that another person was also joining the table. At the moment the conversation seemed to be focused on Corellian Ships. "An excellent ship for freighters. but there fighters leave much to be desired." Tython said in opening. "By the way. My name is Tython." He added.

How do you get a rank on the forums?

sounds like a good idea. though writing good posts is more interesting and challenging that just writing rubbish to get a higher ranking. -
The enemy fighters quickly got over their confusion of having an enemy in their midst and started to swarm towards Tython. Tython dodged allowing his instincts to take over but the enemies shots just kept getting closer and closer. Just as he was about to get hit and he thought there was no way to stop it two jedi ships cut through the enemy formation. Tython quickly flew into a rough formation with the jedi only flying off course when he could get an enemy fighter that got too close. The sith ships quickly go over there surprise and gave chase, when they finally caught up with the jedi Tython and his group broke in all directions. This tactic split the enemy fighters into small groups. Tython and the two jedis then proceeded to fly through formations of enemy fighters causing those following them to vear off or collide with their own pilots. After flying around for a short time using the enemies numbers against him, Tython found himself on the outside of the battle and saw that although the jedi were excellent pilots they were slowly being beaten by the shear number of the enemies. Tython dived back into the fray just as the first wing of fighters from the planet engaged the second wing of enemy fighters (there are 120 fighters in each enemy wing). All the sith fighters were focused on the jedi so Tython found it very easy to fly into the enemy swarm and pick off one or two of the enemy before flying to the relative safety of the other side. Even though Tython was destroying many of the enemy ships the jedi were still hard presses to survive the siths onslaught. Just as Tython was sure that the enemy were going to get them the enemy fighters started to scatter. Tython looked around trying to find the source of their sudden fear and found it in the Sirius V. The air seemed to clear and all the enemy ships were gone fleeing before the wing of fighters that had been launched from the Sirius V. As Tython pressed the enemy ships without getting shot by the enemy cruisers that had arived and where starting to turn and fight the Sirius V. He almost collapsed with relief knowing that he had fought and survived an entire wave of enemy fighter. With only the help of a few jedi he had personally destroyed 53 enemy ships in a single battle. Then the thought struck him, “That was the highest record Tython had ever heard of!!â€

I dont reacon it was because he had to explain the force to the new generation of movie watchers. I think he tried to explain it so that it would be beliveable to the general public. some people I know hate watching movies that have bits left out of the puzzle.

After practicing menouvers and firing situations for about 3 hours Tython was very happy to note that his flying was starting to come naturally. Suddenly a message flashed across Tythons mind (the ships sences are also his sences due to the mind link so the message acrose the mind is a radio signal the ship is receiving.) telling him that 240 enemy fighters and bombers would arive in 2 minutes time. Tython quickly did a mental calculation and realised that it would take 4 minutes for the first fighter squadrons to get off the planet and get to the battle. His only chance of survival was to run away. Then Tython thought to himself "You must save the first wave of fighters off the planet by getting them enough time to form up." So though all logic went against it Tython flew into the expected flight path of the oncoming enemy fighters. 1 minute later Tython was pumped and ready to fight for all he was worth and especially determined to take as many of the enemy with him as he could. 30 seconds later they arrived heading straight for him in huge waves of fighters. Tython quickly accelerated to attack speed just as he came into range of the first of the enemy fighters. The Sith fighters started firing but for some reason Tython had already know the lasers where coming and so he had moved out of the way before they had even covered half the distance to his ship. Tython was surprised and glad that his instinct was so correct for without it he would already have died a dozen times. As soon as Tython entered the first enemy swarm he started trailing an enemy fighter and trusting in his instincts he aimed at where he thought the enemy pilot would be and fired….. Just as the sith ship entered his line of fire. Tython then proceded to do this again and again shooting down so many ships he lost count.

Tython had just received a personal message saying that his new ship was ready so he quickly went to the hanger bay in the hope of taking it out for a test flight before the next wave of enemy fighters came or before the general desided to go and do something about the enemy. When Tython arrived in the hanger he was surprised to find that his ship was ready and preped on the landing pad. The head mechanic walked over and said “I figered you’d want to test it as soon you could. Though I don’t understand why anyone would want a mind link in their ship. All I can say is that you must be a very strong beliver in your own capabillitys. Tython took the ship up through the atmosphere. The ship handled like a dream in comparison to his old Preybird. The ship was slightly sensative to his control but that was to be expected and Tython knew that is he flew the ship enough then the controls would be as easy to do as walking down the street.

After T’char had finished fixing his ship after the battle Tython and T’char went to the simulators for seven hours of intence training in Tythons new ship, the Triphon starfighter. After the training and lots of personal tips from T’char Tython desided to try and become better friends with T’char. So Tython asked “So T’char, What do you do with your spare time?â€

How do you get a rank on the forums?

Hi I was wondering, what can I command when I become a corprel? and what rank do I need to command a medium sized cruiser? (one that has room for one squadron of fighter)(12 fighters). -
Tython was waiting in the local bar just having a catchup chat with the other pilots to see how they went in the battle. While he was talking a tall girl caught his attention and asked “do you know a pilot called Josson?â€
-
Tython arrived at Supply and found the man in charge. He was a Mouvian with extra large hands. When Tython asked him about a new ship he said “We are just out of Preybirds we will have to get you a different ship…. What type of ship would you like?â€
