Tython walked into his debriefing room and looked around for all the empty seats. There where only 3 missing pilots and of those pilots one of them had manadged to edject before his ship was destroyed and he was currently in sick bay. Tython smiled and said in his best encouraging voice "Well done men from the recording of the battle we have a confirmed total of 64 enemies shot down. most of the kills were done by my original squadron. As I have now been given full control of Captain Sol Sebalas Squadron then I intend to change the way things are arranged. All of then new pilots will get a ship that most compliments their flying and fighting style. After all that has been done I will get all the pilots flying the same ship to fly together as they will compliment each other the best..... Oh by the way Congradulations you are both now officially part of Alpha wing and you are going to be given the main responsibility in all the up comming battles. I hope you enjoy the honor." He finnished by starting a cheer that ran through the entire group. Several hours latter all of Tythons revised squadron had thier new ships and were reorganised so that they could do the most damadge at short notice if they were attacked.

Tython nodded solemly in agreement and said "Sorry about raising that topic. It obviously hits a sore note with many people. I should have known better." ..... "So do you have any theorys about the force and how it communicates to us. I have a few of my own but they are probably all far fetched or rediculous so I want to see what others think before I tell the entire universe and make a fool of myself." Tython said as he squirmed uncomfortably in his seat trying to change the subject.

Tython was screeming along jinking to the right, diving to the left taking a snap shot and flying through the enemy ships debries. The Sirius V had quickly flown up to the planet and the local protection had taken off from the surface. The resistance consisted of 20 fighter squadrons and two corvettes. Tythons two squadrons had both flown intercept for the bombing run on the shipyard. After the bombers had done their job they had been freed to go and help destroy the rest of the local fighters. As Tythons squadrons had flow up he noticed that the fighters from Phalax where not doing well at all. As Tythons squadron went of to engage the enemy Tython had stayed behind to rally the fighters that seemed to have stalled in their forward thrust. Tython quickly contacted all the Squadron captains and started coordinating their efforts so that they supported each other and quickly took advantage of any weakness the enemy had. Through all this time Tython was also fighting and had successfully shot down 15 enemy fighters and he didn’t intend on stoping there. As fast as the fighting had started it stopped again and the only enemys where receding spots on the horizon. All the fighters were then called back to the ship where Tython was looking forward to hearing about how well his old and new pilots had gone.

"Wow!!" Tython exclaimed. "What a twisted history. It will probably be several generations before they get over what they where put through. I'm just glad nothing that horendus has happened to too many of the races that make up the new republic. The only race that had to undergo that sort of annihilatilion was Alderaan but they got over that prity quickly because they had lots of off planet recourses to call on. I wonder how many of them are left and if they ever intend to buy an unused planet somewhere and start again even though there arn't many of them?. Tython thought aloud.

Hey what is actually involved in being a moderator and what kind of stuff do you have to look out for? (In other word, What can I get away with without getting in trouble and irritating people too much?)

Tython Looked at Karn and said "I never actually heard how Vadar got the Noghri to fight for the Empire and I was wondering if posibly Luke or some other ambassador could get them to join the New Republic or have they already done so." As he sat back to try and remove the fealling of alcohol flowing through his veins and entering his mind. He was going to have one killer hangover in the morning.

Sorry about teasing you T'char I just couldn't resist the opertunity to have a small laugh. See you as school (Please dont get me back too much).

Good advice there Krytos. If only people would always come and correct you when you go wrong. The only problem with that is that some people get really ticked off if you tell them off. Classic example That was written by T'char. A very babyish past time not being able to take criticism. Its probably a fault most species have.

"Thats true most species that could be discovered in the next few years will probably be mostly peaceful but we will still need a standing army just incase they arn't" Tython said.

Two miutes later after all the captains where seated the Commander opened by saying "All of you where tricked when you came on this mission. When you where told our mission objective you where all told a different planet. We dropped out of hyperspace half a minute ago and we recieved a signal that stated that the planet we had told Captain Sol Sebala about has had a significant amount of military build up in the last two hours. From this we have concluded that he is the traitor amongst us. Who ever was flying with his squadron will now take them on. It seems that he took off as soon as we entered real space. If any of you know of any local bounty hunters would you please inform me as we cannot spare any ships." Tython put his hand in the air and said "Sir I know of a very good Bounty hunter and he has been doing some work for me. His name is T'char he is currently on Phalax he could probably be here in two hours." "That would be great I'll contact him straight away" the Comander said Before desmissing all of them to go about the comming battle.

After finishing a test sequence with all the pilots that Tythons squadron was ment to fly with and doing a successful run on the target that had been placed in the local asteroid field. After half an hour of practice Tython called his squadren back to the ship. He also sent a message to the captain of the other squadren who was called Sol Sebala "Captain we are heading back to the ship please join me for a drink when you land." Tython said. Sol answered by saying "Sorry but I have a few things I have to organise before we arrive at our destination. Maybe I'll see you after the battle. See ya for now." Several hours later after getting everyone to have a short sleep before getting into position for the end of the journey. Ten minutes before they were ment to exit hyperspace Tython got the strange sensation that somthing was wrong. Suddenly a message came across the intercom "all squadron leaders report to the Commanders office immediatly."

They had been in Hyperspace for about 4 days now and Tython and his men were begining to get restless. They had all been through all the simulators that where similar to the battle they were going to have to fight. They where all in the mess when suddenly they dropped out of hyperspace and a message came across the intercom system. "We are taking a small brake while we change our course we will be here for about one hour. It is recommended that all pilots go for a test fly to try flying with other squadrons."

Tython listened to the others replies and said "The pirates will be the main problem because they will do basically the same as what the rebels did. The only thing that is stopping them and the Imperials from trying to retake the empire is the fact that they dont have an evil leader to rally behind. Luckily for the New Republic every time the Imperials get a leader to follow, Luke or some other hero comes along and kills them before they can do more damage. Also they will never start a propper war because they dont have a good cause to fight for. So people wont flock to them to offer assistence or anything like that. No I think I agree with Karn. The only real threat to the New Republic will be from some empire that we dont know about and can support a decent fleet."

This story is most definetly not dead!!! but any way Barkoa Im going to be attacking a few planets some time in the future what planets did you have in mind for me to obliterate and later on lose to in this story. By the way the planet Hunover is only a fake. We dont actually attack that planet. Whats happening is the Commander is telling every captain a differnt battle plan and planet so that when there is a huge build up of ships at one of the fake planets they will know who the spy is. I just thought Id add that for an interesting trist to the story.

Three hours after entering hyperspace Tython was called into the Commanders Office to recieve his full briefing. The commander opened by saying "As you have probably guessed we have one or more traitors among our captains. So what I am telling you I dont want you to tell any other captain incase they are the spy. We will be attacking the planet Hunover with its multiple ship yards it should hold a small challenge. Your role will be to run intercept for our bombers. At the moment the Movian military could not spare enough commandoes to capture the planet so we intend to totally destroy the defences and production capabilities..... Any questions sergeant?". Tython thought it over and said "No thank you Sir. I will not fail you.". As Tython left the room he thought How bad has the infiltration of our ranks got that the commander cant even trust his own men. As Tython couldnt tell his squadron where they were attacking he desided to take them on simulators that were similar to what they would have to do in the actual attack.

Tython had managed to get his squadron on board, and luckily he had managed to get all the cabins closest to the hangers posted to his men. Tython was determined to be the first squadron in space in every battle. He had to prove to the other captains that he could make a difference. As soon as everything was organised Tython went to the commanders office where he would be briefed on the next mission. After all the other Squadron captains had arrived the Commander opened by saying "As you can all see we are going on a aggressive mission to a local planet. I cannot tell you the location of the planet or the stratergy we will use untill we are all in hyperspace." The commander then continued by saying "I will call all into my office individually and tell you the plan once we enter hyperspace. The order of your briefings will be in your offices. You are all dissmised." The Commander finished.

Tython finally realized that this conversation was going to last a lot longer than he had expected. As he settled back into his chair he prepared himself for a long night of talking. Trying to keep the conversation from getting to theoretical Tython said "So if all the internal problems are dealt with then who is the new republic going to fight. I mean I know that the whole idea of the new republic is to bring peace but with the constant lust for power will always bring some alien to try and start fighting. So who is going to be the next person to cause problems for them." Tython asked as he called for another round of drinks for everyone.

Tython was at first shocked at Karns disregerd for the Jedi order but then after some further thought he said "I agree the army does a good job but quite often they get infested with bad leaders or something similar and the jedis will be able to stop it. Also the jedis are small in size and can only do so much and so when they have a problem with a student going to the dark side it takes nearly all they have just to fix the problem so the army is a good reminder to jedis that they cant overstep their boundarys. The only problem with this is that even with two groups if they do it right they can still both do some major damage just by both of them agreeing that they sould do it. Because of this I think the New Republic should set up a third group that has significant orthority and power to stop the other two from steping out of line." he responded. He continued by saying "I dont know if any such groups exist but maybe it could be setup as a precausion and any excuse to have an extra standing army is good. What do you think?" Tython finished.

Great history for the backing of the story Barkoa. but I was just wondering, how do the bugs, organisation and the sith all tie in together? and if the sith are responsible for the bugs then wont they do as much damege to them as to us? other than that everything is looking to go very well. all we really need is a character for the enemy so we can have proper battles and fights. If we could get multiple enemies that would be even better because they could then take on different roles.

The General started by saying "Everyone, Welcome.... You have all been called here because you are the squadrons that will be sent out the next time the Sirius V goes on a mission. The Sirius will be resupplied and ready to leave in two days. All of you will receive your stations and orders from my sub-commander. You will now all fall out and be in place for departure as soon as possible. Good luck and may the force be with you.â€

The afternoon after T'char had left Tython was sitting around with his squadron chatting when a messanger ran up and said "Corporal Xaan you are wanted in the Headquarters breifing room right away.". Then before Tython could ask any more questions he ran off on some other errand. Tython looked around at his pilots questioning faces and srugged. He didnt have the faintest idea what was going on. "I guess I'll have to go and find out what this is all about." he said to his pilots, as he walked out the door. Several minutes latter Tython walked into the main briefing room to find several of the squadron leaders already present. As soon as he found a seat the briefing started......

Tython looked at Ulic while finishing his ale and said "Luke can be trusted but on many occasions I have heard of him joining the darkside and then later overcoming the evil inside him to become a jedi again. So basically I trust Luke now beacuse he has seen what the darkside is like and he has rejected it. Its almost like he has super strong titanium protecting his heart. I dont think I would have trusted him before he was tested but I most definetly do now." Tython said loyally.

True paying for both armies would be expencive but considering the fact that its nat actually his money that he is spending I dont think he will care all that much. only after he starts making armys as the leader of the imperials does he actully start using his own money. I think that darth sidious just started the war to firstly kill jedi in battles and secondly to provide cover for his sith armies and power to grow.

The Battle was finally over and Tython was congratulating his pilots on a job well done. "Well done men! Against all odds we survived and we have 16 confirmed kills. because of that we are being promoted to leading fighter sqaudron." Tython said and as an after thought he added " and all of you stay preped we might have to be called in at the slightest sign of a continued battle. I hope to see you all rested and back here in 4 hours.

"That may be true but I got the impression that when all the pilots flew in they missed because the targeting computers where wrong and so all the other pilots missed even when they had locked on perfectly. That was also probably the main reason Luke got the missiles in was because he didn’t use his computer to hit the target.â€
