Séreméla's lungs were burning, her chest tight with the effort of breathing as she raced down a narrow alley between buildings. Her dark, chocolate coloured hair swung erraticaly in it's high ponytail, strands sticking to her sweaty forehead. The low, evening suns of Vathinor blazed upon her back, chasing her through the streets until eventually she reached her goal - a small, dark doorway that led into a downtown bar of dubious repute. Slowing to a more casual pace she pushed the door and entered quietly, still breathing heavily. Immediately her senses were assaulted by the heavy smell of alcohol and the sharp tang of smoke as the clients enjoyed a cocktail of neurotics and stimulants. It took her eyes a few minutes to adjust to the lack of light compared to outside, and when they did she saw Sledj standing behind the bar preparing an unsightly green concoction. Grinning, she nodded to him then wove her way to the back of the bar, head held high, aware that she was attracting stares from most of the male customers - humanoid or otherwise. Glancing around she found what she was looking for - a table in one of the darkest corners, barely lit by the overhanging, red ceiling lamps. At it was seated an ominous figure in a dark cloak, his face shadowed in anonimity. Sliding into the chair opposite him, Séreméla pulled a holo-vid from a pocket in her black sleeveless top, pushing it across the table to her companion. "Told you I could do it." She smirked, her voice low and tinged with satisaction. She reveled in the fact that most clients thought that being attractive and being a good mercenary were mutually exclusive. She loved proving them wrong. The being didn't say anything, but he did slide a considerable pile of credi chips across the table in payment. Séreméla picked them up and tucked them into a pocket just below the blaster holstered on her hip, savouring the thought of what she could buy with them. As the cloaked figure left she pulled a flat blue hexagon from another pocket, ordered a drink from a waiter droid and swallowed both in a matter of minutes. Leaving the bar, she savoured the feeling of the drug. Her pupils, fully dialated, saw everything in minute detail. Her mind raced as her brain was pumped full of energy. This was the feeling she lived for, and if she couldn't get it through pure adrenaline, she settled for a simulation. Although that was her last pill, she could feel the reassuring bulge of credits in her pocket. This would mean another trip to Zane or one of his girls. Picking up her pace, she jogged further along the street. She may have completed the mission she'd been paid for, but if she lingered there would be jedi to deal with and even as a munitions expert she didn't like her chances of dealing with jedi... OOC: no such thing as a small entrance, hey?!

When Tan woke up she was momentarily disoriented. Where was she? It certainly wasn't the same place she'd fallen asleep. Lifting her head she took in her surroundings - a small cave, a fire twinkling in the corner and something soft that she was lying on. She could also see David sitting next to her, smiling gently and stroking her hair. Struggling to sit up, she asked him where they were and he explained that he's found a cave and thought it would offer better shelter than just sitting in the open. He also told her that before they'd crashed on this planet he'd managed to get out a distress call and that he was sure someone would find them soon... OOC: leaving it open for you boba fett. come save us! not sure how much of this mush i can cope with!

OOC: who wrote what? what? i'm lost... anyways. boba fett, plz remember to write 'OOC' for 'out of character' when you are, well, out of character, funnily enough, and 'IC' for in character. got it? brilliant. just makes posts easier to follow... IC: Tan winced as David bound her wounds, hen ried to smile and look brave so he wouldn't know how much pain she was in. "I'm fine, really." she lied. "It'll heal, don't worry. I am hungry though..." she said with a grin. David smiled back and set off in search of some food. The planet seemed habitable enough, and no doubt there were natives of some kind that they would need to be wary of, but for the moment everything seemed to be fine. David came back with a collection of fruits and berries that he thought looked edible enough, and he insisted on eating first just in case there were any serious reactions to it. When a few minutes later he appeared fine and Tan was too hungry to wait any longer, she ate as well and they spent a few hours talking about ow they think the battle went, what became of the rest of the squadron and how they were going to get back. When the red sun slipped behind the horizon and the forest world became dark, they tried to make a fire with some strange looking purple branches they'd gathered. Neither of them had much idea, and not so much as a spark was forthcoming. Nonetheless, they spent a warm night together in the cave, talking and laughing late in to the night. Tan thought she had never been happier. She didn't care if they never made it back to the rebellion; lying in Davids arms on the cool grass, looking up at the billions of stars that were all distant worlds that one day she would explore, with David by her side... OOC: lolololololololol!!! loverly mush, wouldn't you say dear Jess?!

OOC: yeah, action! rock on, more people to punch in the nose!!! IC: Tan had walked back to her quarters and spent a good half hour in a steaming hot shower, letting the water pound furiously against her back as she leaned against the wall and thought about everything that had happened that day. She did regret punching Magg, only because she knew there would be consequences. It felt good though. Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft knock at the door. Turning the shower off, she called out "I'm coming!" and quickly put her hair up and pulled on a dressing gown. She opened the door to see David standing, looking rather sad, holding two mugs full of a hot, steaming liquid. She almost laughed, he looked so dejected and apologetic. She invited him in, all was forgiven. In the last few months their relationship had grown and she finally felt she could trust him with anything. They sat and talked for hours without having to worry about anyone interrupting them, sharing secrets and laughing, drinking deeply the warm, sweet drinks and wishing the night would last forever. Unfortunately, both of them knew it could not. With a start Tan realised she was still only wearing a dressing gown and embarrassed, she excused herself to go and get changed. She was getting tired and knew she couldn’t stay up all night. She’d probably have to face the Captain in the morning. David gave her a kiss goodnight and headed back to his quarters, quickly, but happily. Neither suspected what the night would bring…

Tan sat in the simulator, teeth and fists clenched, listening to Magg gloat about her and David. Tan knew she was lying, she still believed David, she'd just needed some time to herself to get her thoughts together and work out what she really wanted. Yes she was hurt, yes she was confused, but more as to why Magg would want to do this and the shock of it all than anything else. Silent, she just sat there, getting more and more angry at this stuck up, stupid piece of filth whose poisonous words were coming between her and David. "And you know there was that time when you were off doing flying practice in your X-wing and David and I stayed behind..." Unable to bear any more of it, Maggs words were abruptly cut off as Tan balled her fist and punched her as hard as she could in the face. With a scream, Magg collapsed backwards, her hands flying to her bleeding nose as Tan towered over her, fists still clenched threateningly. "Shut up about David you worthless bitch." Tan hissed, then strode off up the corridor, head held high, leaving Magg lying on the floor, cursing and crying in pain. She'll pay for that. Magg thought, her face twisted into a snarl. No one punches me and gets away with it. Oh, the captain will LOVE this.[/i]

yeh, hurry up dj. yay jess, ur a corporal! woohoo, special. i'll get there one day!!!

Tan just couldn't face talking to David. She sat on her bed, a box of tissues her only company and listened as he stood outside yelling for all the rebellion to hear. She waited until he'd gone and she'd cried herself out of tears. Tears of hurt and confusion, tears of regret and wanting to run down the corridor after David and him to tell her it was all right. Wiping her eyes she pulled on her uniform and walked the long walk to the simulator, feeling as though every eye was on her even though she knew that no one probably knew, or if they did wouldn't care. Climbing into the simulator, she vented all her emotion, hurt, anger and frustration on simulated TIE's, freigthers, and even took on an ISD when she got really pissed off. It wiped her out, but she gave it a shot all the same. Sudden;y she realised there was someone else in the simulator...

OOC: aahhhhh! how dare you! David is mine! MINE!!! oh well, lets see what happens... Tan'Zi sat on the bed next to David, a warm feeling spreading through her. She was sure she'd made the right decision. She knew she could trust him. As they talked, she felt herself relax more and more, slipping happily into that relam of contented bliss where everything was almost perfect. Almost. She was startled out of her reverie by an abrupt knock at the door. David looked up, puzzled, clearly not welcoming the interuption. He got up to answer the door and Tan made use of the time to slip out to the small kitchen and make them both hot drinks. However, as she walked back into the room with them, she heard a womans voice, soft and sultry, and saw David standing in the door being caressed by a strange woman she'd never seen before. With a sob she dropped both mugs, spilling their dark brown contents on the soft cream carpet. Walking fast, she pushed past David and the woman and ran off down the corridor, fighting tears and ignoring David's calls of protest...

After the adreneline rush from the battle had worn off, Tan was exhausted. She welcomed the chance to head off to bed when Jess excused herself. Once in bed, her last thought as she drifted off to sleep was wondering what became of the freighters pilot...
