  1. I will look at these options. I have one other confusion... 3dsmax 6 can export to 3ds format, l don't claim to know any method outside of advice give on this site, which I am gratefull for... thanx again for the info, I will try both and see what fits for me. Which program do you(s) recomend for creating textures?
  2. Hello all, new questions! I got my first model done, a gallofree and now it needs texturing. I have followed the tutorials where lithunwrap pulls it apart, however the boxed version is very complex and difficult to decipher. Are there other programs that can take a model apart for texturing and lays the faces out a bit better, or how was it done before lithunwrap? (I don't need the transports texture, that would take the fun out of making it!) Thanx again. dodododo
  3. -> I rather meant the hunting itself. That's just it, you not allowed to go out with you club and drag her back to your cave by the hair. Hunting is out these days. You not allowed clubs and your cave had to be nice and cosey with sensible and practicle uses. Clean caves are a big bonus. I would recommend Barry White echoing off the walls to drown out the dripping noises. And learn to cook the Wooly Mammoth with herbs, spices and vegitables. Spit roasting with beer as the side dish is only good once they move in and claim your cave as theirs. It is a lot of work just to have those legs walk all over you... But there are benefits... -> Psst: that's normal, they do this deliberately Used to think so, but now I'm convinced its normal behaviour. If you've got all that going for you and still are still having troubles, move somewhere that you accent is different, like Austrailia. Become a surfer, live on the beach and preach love not war. Grow your hair and say 'dude' a whole bunch. Your guess is as good as mine! Good luck!

  5. Yah, right through. I created a Borg cube (the 5km one) and a 14 squadrens of tie fighters vanished when they got in range. I just heard the explosions... I thought a TC of the borg invading would be an interesting and challenging 1 player senario.
  6. I have searched to answers to this on the forum, and am certain someone has addressed this, but I can't find info. Sorry if it's a repeat. I replaced a Meduim Transport with a very large model (one that to other ship would match in dimensions) and the game does not recognise the new collision boundries. When new ship models are in tactical combat the enemy fighters fly right through them. Is this resoved when models are textured? or is there another way to have the game recognise new collision boundries? thanx
  7. I righted the klingons, thx. I'm in Hamm, just to the east of Essen and the people belt. Are you German, or lured here by a nice pair of legs, too?
  8. Thanx, The first time I ran it ingame it crashed, but I re-installed everything again, and it worked. The Cruiser files backwards, but thats ok , they're klingons. Thanx for the time. -I'm in Germany too, wife is German, I'm Canadian
  9. First off, I would like to thank all those helping us newbies. A great insperation to future modlers, card makers and TC creaters. Great site! My problem. I have created a cheesy Star Trek Battle Cruiser with 3ds Max 6, using a Nebulon-B Frigate to ensure scale. I converted the file to BC.x with lithunwrap, and it previews just fine. I have installed the model importer to, and the import folder : G:\LucasArts\rebellion\model mod G:\LucasArts\rebellion\model mod\import respectively. I run Model Importer and the log file shows: (yah I know its 5am, but the wife is preggie and sleeps like a hungry tasmainian devil, I needed a hobby ) [04 Jul 2004, 04:58:06] [FileNames] Exe=..\tactical.dll SaveAs=..\tactical.dll Log=_logfile.txt [Commands] -addoverwrite "import\BC.x",301,"2600",1033 Modified: 301,2600,1033 -addoverwrite "import\BC.x",301,"2601",1033 Modified: 301,2601,1033 -addoverwrite "import\BC.x",301,"2602",1033 Modified: 301,2602,1033 Commands completed I assume all went well, so I run REBED and try view the new BC in the V2SD slot where I (hopefully) stored the BC.x file and get this error: ***Erreur Critique*** From 'NIL' Sender, at 00031A73 Exception Class :EAccessViolation Message : Access violation at address 00432A73 in module 'Rebed.exe'. Read of address 00000000 L'application va etre fermee. funny thin I'm not french. I guess Mask is ? The game also crashes whenever I need to view the model. So, I tried the manual way using Resouce Hacker, following the instructions from one of your many excellent tutorials, and got the same error. I re-installed the game and tried it in reverse, same again. I am certain it is something silly and simple, but if anyone has any help for a silly and simple, sleep deprived man, I would be gratefull. Thanx again. dodododo (humm, it to Indy)
