  1. There have always been Mandalorians in the galaxy, they were just scattered, and not many people knew abotu them. Boba was just famous. Boba may not even know about a Mandalorian buildup, he just may have gathered all the Mandalorians he knew about to help fight the Vong.
  2. The old republic never saw it coming, and the Mandalorians werent a large force to begin with. And the still gave the OR a run for their money.
  3. Who said Fett would lead it? As for them getting that large without being detected, the Yevetha turned into a threat without being noticed. And besides, didnt the Mandalorians have a secret homeworld or something?
  4. They have had decades already to rebuild. Who says they havent been, somewhere out on the rim?
  5. He may be on to something here. And welcome to the site man!
  6. Im pretty sure they can. They just have to be original about it. We have brought up a load of potential enemies for the galaxy. hell, Maybe even the madalorians could make a return from the grave, and try to get revenge for almost being wiped out.
  7. Well, with the Vong defeated, and tghe Remnent allies, short of a massive series coming out of the unknown regions, there isnt many new possibilities really. But still there, will always be people ready to casue trouble in teh galaxy.
  8. Maybe not the power, But if they phase it all carefully enough, they can do an 'out with the old, in with the new' thing and keep everybody interested it in. Think of it like Rogue Squadron. They got rid of wedge, gave him a new role in the backround, and had Gavin running it. That worked out quite well.
  9. I doubt the EU is ending anytime soon. Granted, they are runniong out of storyline to tell, but im sure they can find a way to keep it going for a long long time. Perhaps a line of books detailing the Imperial Point of view during the Civil War?
  10. Im actually happy that they killed off a few important charachters. And actually, i hope they kill off a few more, leading to the introduction of new ones. It would be a turn in the right direction, leading to a whoile new chapter in the SW universe. Im mean honestly, all the normal charachters are getting on in years now. They cant be continuing to do what they did when Zjins and Thrawn were around. Soon, its going to be time for Han and family to retire the Falcon to a museum, and relax the rest of their existance, and let other people worry about the galaxy. I actually wouldnt mind a series being written about just the imperials for once also. That would be interesting.
  11. I always liked Greedo.
  12. Corperate sector maybe? I dont think the vong invasion got to them, and Im willing to bet they have a sizeable military.
  13. It has been said that humans spread like a weed throughout the galaxy, infesting every planet they came across, to the point that they were the majority, and the minority, at the same time. Im guessing that the humans discovered space travel first, but lost contact with whatever home world they had, and eventually created different sub-cultures, different from whatever they had, and eventually created all the different cultures we see today. There is also the 'seeding' theory, but lets not get into that.
  14. Even though the SSD is an inferior ship compered to the practicality of the SD, can you truely argue that the SSD would not be the ship to have in battle? Just the amount of firepower it can bring to bear agaisnt an enemy fleet in enough reason to use it maybe not as a flagship, but as a major frontline ship? Granted, for having four to five times times the forepower (depending on who you listen to) of an SD, it only carried two wings of fighters. But still, having a thousand guns at is disposal, the SSD is the ultimate war machine.
  15. Bah, I have been proven wrong. It was the Gaurdian. I still dont think Pelleon has a SSD though, and if it was Stationed at Bastion, it was probably destroyed by the Vong in their attack. If he Had an SSD, why wasnt it his Flagship?
  16. The Vong didnt route them. The Vong attacked Bastion, and caught Pelleon off gaurd, then made a hit and run and Yaga Minor. Other than those two, and that battle where pelleon humiliated that vong commander, thase are the only three battles that i remember wher the vong attacked the Remnent. And I could have sworn it was the Justice that was the last remainging SSD.
  17. Lest time i checked, the Remnant had something like 200 Star Destroyers, and 1000 support ships spread across 8 sectors. But Pelleon took most of thet with him when he went to help the NR/Galactic Alliance. They Dont have any SSDs though, the last one they had was the Reaper, and Pelleon lost that ship stopping a NR offensive. The Only SSD i think still exists is the Justice. Unless the Corperate Sector, or some other independent government built one.
  18. Ive had entire sectors get taken over, due to the alliance using that sith-forsaken Corvette/Nebulon-B Combo. Ealry in the game it seems to be their favorite tactic, and since they can build the corvette right away, they tend to be the bane of any imperial almost from the start. Even later on in the game, alliance corvettes can cause problems out on the rim, running hit-an-hype raids faster than you can send fleets to respond.
  19. I thought the imperials were PART of the Galactic Alliance?
  20. Actually, I think bringing thrawn back would be an interesting idea. You would get to see how he deals with the fact that the galaxy is in no condition to put up a fight against the corperate sector, let alone a hostile species that the chiss havent defeated yet.
  21. I think i have everything up until right before Unifying force.
  22. I own most of the books, the few i dont im working on getting. The last NJO book i read ended with the sentient planet being injuredm, and hurled through hyperspace, or something like that. But i live out in the boonies, so getting new books tends to be a pain somedays. And recently ive been working on rebuilding my micromachine collection, since my mom decided it would be a good idea to give my old ones away.
  23. i must find this book...... is it out in softcover yet?
  24. Deafeated as in stopped in their tracks, or as in pushed out of the galaxy, and beaten to a bloody pulp by a renewed Galactic alliance warfleet?
  25. The Rogue Squadron Series.
