Need better vid card in my comp. Mine isnt up to the task of animation, it appears. Just animating a moving sphere is overworking my baby.
-
Its possible that we may be able to pull it off. But animating creatures does not sound very fun to me. Although it would be worth it in the end. *Ponders* B&M 3D Modeling Inc.â„¢ does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
-
Your model is looking good so far man. Very nice. As for what program i finally settled for, I chose 3D Canvas, basically because of the huge amount of tutorials that it comes with. Its slow going, But I am learning quickly.
-
Looking good man. Very good indeed.

After reviewing my post, i realize I could have done a lot better on it. Confusion was bound to occur after that one. My bad. But what does everyone think of my script for a Repora Wars intro movie?
-
No, Im still at Kuat. I have another project to try and get running still. Not to mention I need to try and pry some ships our of the the Kuat defence force.

To all of those that spoke of making a quick movie about the start of the repora wars, here is a script for you all. I had to fall back on some old writing skill that I rarely use, so hopefully this turns out to everyones liking. {pictures and animations} "Text and/or speaking" :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: {Pictures of buildings and spaceships beign constructed} "In the years after the war against the Vong, the galaxy had finally begun to show signs of healing its wounds" {Pictures of children playing, people relaxing} "Every beng in the galaxy had finally begun to think that maybe fate, and the force, had decided that it was time for the galaxy to know peace. They thought that maybe, a generation could grow without the knowledge of constant warfare" {pictures fade out, blanks screen} "Sadly, it was not to be." {Picture of the galaxy in distance} "From the deepest depths of the unknown regions, a new threat was preparing." {A dark bloctch begins to engulf the galaxy from the unknown regions} "A terrible race, long since forgotten from the annals of history, began its march of conquest" {Pictures of reporan warriors weiliding lightsabers in forground, Reporan warships in backround} "Armed with terrifying technology, and weilding the dark side, these beings knew only one cause. The restoration of an Infinite Empire." {pictures fade, blank screen} "And holding the reigns of this terrible war machine, was a being everyone had long since thought, and hoped, dead. {Picture of the Timeless one fades in} "Fueling the flames of war, this being forsaw his victory, which would follow behind a path of destruction across the galaxy" {Pictures flash of all our favorite SW chars} "But seeing the flames of war rise, heroes of the past rise again." {Pictures of some of our chars flash} "Along with the heroes of new, new heroes are born from the flames, some willing, others not." {picture of the galaxy, white a light moving to black the darkness} As the forces of light moved to stop the new threat, other allies began to appear to help fight off the newest threat. {pictures of Mandalorians slowly fade in over the galaxy} "From the farthest corners of the galaxy, a race of warriors emerges, ready to redeem themselves for their dark past" {Galaxy fades away, Picture of Thrawn and UDA warships fade in} "From outside of the galaxy, a brilliant tactician, once thought the galaxies greatest threat, returns from the dead, and becomes their greatest hope. {Screen goes blank, Picture of Anakin slowly fades in} And from the force itself, the prophesized one himself returns, to fullfill his destiny as the balance of the force. {Pictures of warships fighting, ground troops battling} "But all knew that more would be needed to win. They would need heart, courage, and the force as their ally to emerge victorious. {picture fade, music stays} "Welcome to the newst, darkest chaper in the Star Wars universe. Welcome, to the Repora Wars." :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Just a rough draft, Im open to suggestions.

Actually, Im not. I REALLY need to get back to Dresnak to start my campaign to turn the Vagaari agains the Repora. If Sabre gets rebuilt, will have to send them to you from Dresnak, which is where they are right now.

Hirotek sighed as he walked along the halls of the massive Star Destroyer. Crewers of the ship saluted smartly as he passed them, and he returned all their salutes in kind. He missed his won fleet, where the crew wasn't required to salute him. It had always made him feel uncomfterable. But this wasnt his ship, it was the flagship of Admiral Eveha. So for now, he would have to deal with the ridged rules that most crewers were forced to deal with. Hirotek finally came to the office he was looking for, and smiled. A pair of soldiers with blaster carbines saluted him as he approached, and one of them spoke. "The Admiral is expecting you, sir. Go right in." he said, and Hirotek nodded. Hirotek walked up to the door, and when it opened, he smiled as he saw the interior of Evehas' office. Like most fleet commanders, his office has the standard clutter of items from his travels. But Eveha had strange tastes. There were blaster carbines displayed on the wall, some of them looking to be ancient beam weapons. Along side them, were small tapestries displaying the singing of the imperial-republic peace treaty, and the surrender of the vong. Hirotek had a feeling that Eveha had set them up like that for a reason. As Hirotek walked towards the massive desk, Admiral Eveha looked up, and smiled. "Ilos, it is good to see that you made it here alive." he said, and Ilos nodded. "Likewise Eveha. It seems that your fleet managed to escape in one piece, more or less." he said, and Eveha nodded. "More or less. We took losses, just like everyone else. If we dont find a way to minimize these losses soon, we wont have a fleet left to fight the Repora with." he said darkly, and Ilos nodded in agreement. Eveha motioned for Ilos to sit down, which he did. Ilos leaned back in his chair, and stared at Eveha for a moment. Eveha stared back, a look of wonder on his face. "Well, when you asked to see me, you said it was important. But considering just about everything is important in a time of war, that didt say much." Eveha said, and Ilos laughed. "Very true. I asked to speak to you, because I have a faovr to ask of you. It involves a certain squadron of fighters that I need to have rebuilt." he said, and Eveha nodded. "I take it you are speaking of Sabre squadron? The Kuati government has spoken to me about those. hey seem to think that you took them from them unfairly, and would like to have them returned. What is the condition of the squadron?" he asked, and Hirotek chuckled. "Well, if Kuat wants them back, the official answer to that is that they were Detroyed over Adumar." he said, and Eveha chuckled. "And unofficially?" he asked, and Hirotek got a serious look on his face. "Out of the original twelve, I have eight remaining, some with serious damage. I need to have four more built to knew specifications, and the remaining eight re-built to those same specs." he said, and Eveha nodded slowly. "I see. So why come to me about this? Why not talk to Supreme Admiral Kre'Fey about it?" he asked, and Ilos shrugged. "I did. he said the resources needed to buld them just werent available right now." he stated, and Eveha nodded. "Which is true. So why come to me?" he asked again, and Ilos smiled. "Because you have access to resources that Kre'fey doesnt. You managed to build an Eclipse class destroyer armed with an outlawed superlaser, without even a whisper of its existance. Next, is the starfighters that the Genesis deployed here at Kuat. I have never even seen those starfighters before. And finally, the Reporan fighters you deployed at Ord Mantell. You obviously have a lot of resources at your disposal." Ilos said, and Eveha stared at him for a moment. Eveha then stood, and walked over to the wall. He opened up a hidden panle there, and fipped a series of switches. He closed the panel, and walked back over to the desk. Sitting down, he looked right at Ilos, and frowned. "Ilos, the resources I used to consturct all of that are quite valuable. If we lose them, we very might lose the war. I would prefer you dont mention them without precautions in place." he said, and Ilos nodded in understanding. Undoubtedly, Eveha had activated a field of some sort to prevent anyone from listening in. "I understand that, and I apologize." Ilos said, and Eveha nodded. "No need to apologize. You just dont comprehend the magnitude of those resources. Which, I might add, are not to be used for someones pet project." Eveha said, even though he himself had used Gorath for a few of his own pet projects. "The re-building of Sabre squadron is not a pet project, Eveha." Ilos stated, and he removed a small datapad from his pocket. he slid it across the table, wich Eveha picked up. He activated the datapad, and began to scroll through its contents. He nodded slowly, and then smiled. "Interesting design Ilos. But wy not just re-build the squadron as robot fighters? They were quite impressive here at Kuat. i dont see the overall need to put live pilots in them." he said, and Ilos nodded. "They were impressive yes, but droid brians can only take a fighter so far. By putting live pilots into the cockpits, we can make them tree times as deadly. Even more so If i can get a vetern squadron to fly them." he said, and Eveha nodded. "You do have a point there. While I do have a project involving robotic fighters, they just dont seem to be as good as a fighter flown by a live pilot. But since the Reporan can use the force, they can more easily second-guess a live pilots reactions." Eveha said, and Ilos chuckled. he reached over, and tapped a button on the datapad. A new screen appeared, and Eveha looked it over. After a moment, he laughed. "yes, that would work, wouldnt it?" he said, and he set the datapad down. He leaned back in the chair, and thought for a moment. Even with all the resources Gorath had, quantom armor was still difficult to make. Especially in large quantities. Doing this would take a lot of time. "Ilos, I cant garauntee that these fighters will be done soon, if I decide it is worth the effort. Quantom armor is still something that is beyond the everage war factories capabilities. it is barly within the capabilities of the almighty Kuat drive yards. You do realise how much Kuat spent to build those fighters, correct?" he asked and Hirotek nodded. "I am aware, yes. I actually argued against their production, as at the time, I thought the funds could be better spent putting out regular warships. But now, I think Kuat may have been on to something." he said, and Eveha nodded. "They just may have been. But to put it bluntly, even my resources are being stretched thin right now. Producing these, even just a single squad, would require enormous effort." he said. Ilos nodded, and smiled. "That may be true, but I think they would be worth it. For reasons that should be more than obvious." he said, and Eveha nodded. "Painfuly, as it seems. I will have to think it over." he said, and Ilos nodded. It was about what he had expected from Eveha, but at least he had tried. "Thats all that I ask Eveha. Get back to me when you have made you decision." he said, and he stood up from the chair. Eveha stood with im, and reached out his hand. "I will do that Ilos. Good luck to you on your mission." he said, and Ilos took his hand and shook it. "Same to you Eveha. Right now, we need all the luck we can get." he said, and he turned to walk out of the small room. As he did, he wondered to himself if maybe he had overstepped his boundries in asking Eveha for this favor. He knew resources were limited. But he felt that his plan was a good one, and warrented a chance. He walked down the halway, and headed towards the shuttlebay. He needed to get back to Athien, so they could continue planning their attacks against the Repora. He also needed to talk to the new commander of the shipyards, to see if he could get another project of his moving. He had a feeling it was going to be a long day.
-
If it wouldnt be to much trouble, what is the location of Eveha right now? He and Hirotek need to have a talk. Also, I need to know of an experienced fighter squadron which can be spared. Obviously, Rouge is out of the question, but perhaps Jansons and his Yellow Aces are available, or the Twin Suns? Or even High Flight, if they still exist. I want veterns for my newest plan, not rookies.

Well, the odds of Lando getting ahold of Vuffi are about the same odds of Seryk beating Thrawn in a game of chess. As for Lobot, he is to get ahold of the race that built the Vegabond, but more than likely they arent ready to be involved in a full scale war. They may not have even been awakened fully yet. I just wanted to remind you that I know enough about Star Wars to mess with your plans if need be. Someone has to keep you in line.

What is that? Do I hear the signs of fear in the voice of the almighty Stellar Magic? Does he fear that I may have stumbled across the final downfall of the Repora? MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
-
Well, now we know what the smugglers are up to. Their old tricks for the most part.
-
OOC: And now, back to those wacky smugglers, and their crazy alliance!! IC: Karrde walked into the breifing room, and smiled at what he saw. At the head of the long table nestles in the room, Booster Terrik sat in his hover chair, quietly looking over one report or another on a datapad. More than likely it was a status report of his Star Destroyer, which was once again falling victim to a lack of starports willing to house his ship. Next to him sat his daughter Mirax, also looking over a datapad. Farther down the table, Lando Calrissian sat haunched over in his chair, a smile on his face. He was engaged in converasation with Shalla Nelprin, who was finally beginning to show her years. Also seated at the table was Hobbie Kilvan, the overall commander of the Smuggler Alliance starfighter forces. Next to him sat a few of his starfighter comrades, all veterns of the war agains the empire. They were all sitting there, joking about something, judging by the smiles on their faces. Closer to his end of the table, sat General Ithryn, commander of the largest pirate fleet in the galaxy. His being here was a suprise, he had a long and violent history with Booster and Lando. But it was actually a blessing, the smugglers alliance needed all the help it could get. Along side him were the leaders of several other smaller pirate and smuggler groups. Overall, it was a large collection of people. And hopefully, some good would come from this meeting. "Well, I thank you all for being here. It seems that the galaxy is getting dragged into a war again, one thats going to make the Vong war look easy." Karde said, and everyone at the table looked up at him. Lando looked directly at him, and frowned. "I think we all realize this Karrde. We have all seen and heard the reports. Any news one the battle of Ord mantell?" he asked, and Karrde sighed. "The GFFA fleet has withdrawn after taking some heavy losses. its down to a ground battle now. Hopefully Thrawn can come up with a miracle to win. We cant afford to lose many more massive engagments like this." he said, and General Ithryn barked out a quick laugh. "Thats what people said about the war agains teh Vong. And we won that war. What makes this one any different?" he asked, and Hobbie looked over to him. "Well, first of all, we all started the war off working together. And we failed. Secondly, we dont have the Chiss or Empire to help us, they have been basically wiped out. And Thirdly, the Vong didnt have the force. These Repora do." he said, and the General nodded. "All very valid points, but eventually the GFFA will step up its wartime production, and we will overwhelm them with sher numbers." he said, and Booster shook his head. "No, we wont. They have struck at several of our largest shipyards already, and destroyed most of them. The only reason Kuat still exists is becuase of who was in charge there. Hirotek may not be Thrawn, but the man is crazy, and intelligent. Which is about as bad," he said, and karrde nodded his head. "Well, ship production is one of the reason we are all here. We all know the GFFA has its own shipyards, but most of them are full now. And the ones that arent full, are going to be very soon. The first thing on the agenda, is info on any independent yards that we all know of, that can help out with either ship repairs, or production of new vessels." Karrde said, and everyone began to look around at one another. They all knew of shipyards, some run by smugglers, other by pirates. What the question was, was if anyone was going to hand over such information willingly. After a few moments of silence, Booster spoke without looking up from his datapad. "Let me just say this. I know the location of just about every smuggler hideaway and pirate cove in the galaxy. And If I have to hunt down every one of them to get them to commit to this effort, I will." he said, a feral grin on his face. Karrde smiled, knowing ho wreal that threat ws to everyone. The Errant Venture may not have been up to GFFA specs anymore, but Booster made sure she stayed fully armed. That aone was enough firepower to wipe out nearly any pirate or smuggling fleet in the galaxy. And everyone at the table knew it. "My primary base has a small facility which can repair starfighters, and build them if need be." Shalla said, and Karrde nodded in appreciation. "Thank you, thats a start. Anyone else?" he asked, and Ithyrn sighed. "I have access to a pair of small yards out on the rim. Nothing to large, they wont hold anything larger than a Vic Star. But they can repair or build ships. And i have my own starfighter production facility. Funnel me the materials, and I can build about a squadron a week." he said, and Karrde nodded. "Good, those yards will be helpfull," karrde said, and he then turned to Lando. "What about you, Lando? Dont even try to tell me you dont have a facility hidden somewhere that can help us." he said, and Lando flashed his famous grin. "Ill do you one better than that. im finishing up the final touches on a pair of new facilites, whcih will be able to build and repair any vessel up to the size of a dreadnaught. And they can both build vessels. And I still have my wardroid factories, which will be running full speed as quickly as I can get them there." he said, and Karrde smiled. Slowly, all the other smuggler and pirate leaders revealed teh locations of their repair facilites. karrde noted the location of every facility, knowng that they wopuld need every single one. "Alright, next. Total firepower. If we are going to ogranize our forces into a fighting force like we did for the war against the Vong, I want to do it right this time. " hesaid, and everyone nodded. Booset looked up, and smiled. "I have teh Venture, and I recently aqquired a pair of old Escort Frigates surplus." he said and Karrde nodded. More than likely, Boosters ships would make up the core of the Smuggler/pirate fleet. "What about starfighters Booster?" Karrde asked, and Mirax looked up. "So far we have about a wing of starfighters. We are still training all the pilots though. We need to get them up to GFFA standards before we throw them up agains teh Repora." she said, and Karrde nodded. That was Hobbies' job. But he would get to that later. "I have nine vessels ready for battle, with five more undergoing overhauls right now." Shalla said, Karrde smiled. He knew that Nallas' fleet was small, but her pilots were good. "I have seventeen vessels ranging in size from freightors to my flagship, the Black Fear." Ithryn said, and karrde nodded. He knew that the Fear was an older Vic Star, but it was well maintained and crewed. Lando promised several of his defense ships to the force, and the rest of the people at the table added in their forces. "Well, with all of that, and my forces added in, we have just over 50 vessels. Which was more than I had hoped for." he said, and everyone at the table smiled. So far things were going as well. "Now, the final part of this meeting is to discuss the purpose of the fleet. To allay your worries, we arent going to be trying to take on the Repora forces head on. Thats suicide." he said, and Shalla looked up at him. "Then what will we be doing, raiding their convoys?" she asked, and Ithryn laughed. "Well, we are outlaws after all. What else are we good at?" he asked, and everyone around the table managed a brief chuckle. "Yes Shalla, we will be running raids on theri convoys, among other things. We will also be doing information gathering for the GFFA, and of need be, we can also help in the evacuation of civilian worlds in the path o the invasion. Same as what we did in the last war." he said, and everyone around the table nodded. They all knew that they would just get in the way should they try and help in any major engagements, so they would simply so what they could in the backround. Like the scoundrels they were. "Well, thats actually it for this meeting. Ill contact you all as soon as we have mre of the details hammered out. Also, if you knwo of anyone else that could help us in the war, please get ahold of them. We need allies. And lots of them." he said, and everyone around the table nodded. Slowly, people began to filter out of the room, to head off to their repective fleets and bases. It would take some time to organize them into an effective fighting force, but this was a very good start. They had bases, facilities, and yards at theri disposal. Hopefully, that would be enough for now. Karrde sat down, and looked over to Lando, was was staring off into space. He wacthed him for a moment, and then smiled. "Whats on your mind Lando?" he asked, and Lando looked over to him. "Oh, I was just thinking. I may know of some people that would be willing to help us. They still owe me a favor, I think." he said, and karrde smiled. "How big of a favor?" karrde asked, and Lando smiled. "Not a very big one. I just helped save thier whole race from extinction." he said, and Karrde barked out a laugh. It would be like Lando to exaggerate like that. "Well, you get ahold of them, and do your best to bring them on board. We could use the help." he said, and Lando nodded. Karrde sat back in the seat, and began to search the recesses of his own mind, trying to hink of anyone he knew of that could help them. But after a while, his eyes drifted shut, and hs aging bady decided it was time for rest. As Karrde slept in the seat, Lando continued to think through his own past, and of any allies that he could bring to the war. "Lobot," he said quietly to himself. "I need to get ahold of Lobot. And Vuffi." he finished. He hadnt spoken to either of them in years, but both of them were links to possible allies. Powerfull ones at that. He just hoped that they were both still among the living.

True, which is why the warheads wont activate until they are near the target. Im crazy, not stupid. Very true. But still, they are by far the most destoructive weapon in anyones aresonal, due to the fact that they can be produced faster than any of the others. And they are exceptionally versatile. And as for your sig, I like it. But what is that starfighter? A preybird?

I shall go stomp on some rebels for you freind. But, we shall need you to return soon, so that the war can be won!! -
It only takes one missile to wreck yur day, and your Veremere. Fire off enough of them, and they cant pick them all off. Actually, those sheilds dont deflect anything, they absorb the damage, same as any other shield. But I may be wrong on that point. And I could leson the aixe of the warhead, and use them on ground troops as well. But that might take 'not fair' to a whole new extreme.
-
With the way thigns are going, attacking alliance style is going to be our only option, becuase we wont have any bases left.
-
Yah there is. Launch a suprise attack somewhere. Start raiding any re-inforcements they are receiving. Harass their rear line swith hit-and-hype raids. Lots of work to be done.
-
Yes, the lack of warning also contributes to my over-all reaction to everything. For a part of the world renown for seismic activity, one would think that that would already have warning systems in place.
-
Actually, I felt sorry for the people in the videos who los tthe fight against the water. They did nothign to deserve one of the most painfull ways to die known to man. What makes me laugh, actually, is that fact that so many people died, because of how they were allowed to live. Over-papulation of the coastline combined with poor housing is what led to a large portion of the fatalities. Thats the stupidity I was referrring to.

My personal belief on humanitys' own stupidity.

Anti Matter Warhead. it can be mounted on any form of rocket, missile, or torpedo. And yes, running might be a good idea. Like I said, Mandalorians dont play fair. EDIT: And for those of you who dont remember where I could have gotten this idea from, cross reference Mako Spince and Moon of Carida. A single gram was used in that scenario. And a single gram can fit into a standard warhead.
