I have just switched from IE to Firefox. Ive kept IE just for updating XP and Office seeing MS havent supported any other browsers ( ). I find firefox very easy and much like IE to use and navigate and i like the tabbed windows option, something im using more and more everyday.

I have a 17" Packard Bell Slimview 700 TFT (LCD?) monitor. Used to have a 17" IBM CRT monitor but now i have so much more on my over cluttered computer desk i think i will stay with the TFT monitors. Darth_Ramoth

My shortest game was an online game, i was the Imps (as usual ) and i think we were playing small galaxy on max speed, HQ victory. we started the game and within 30 mins it was all over. I won and i think the day was around 150-175 (from memory). In the other guys defense he did say that was his first game online. Darth_Ramoth

ok, ive completely overhauled the site, New layout and menu. Ive tried to keep it simple as most people who commented on the old site said thhat it was well laid out and easy to navigate. I only used netobjects fusion 7 this time (instead of 2 or 3 different programes), im still trying to get the hang of it but i learnt a fair bit over the last couple of days but i still need to learn more about it. hey all, due to pc probs and other things going on in my life, i havent been active much during the last year. but now things have settled down a bit and i have a new pc i have decided to relaunch the idea of holding a tournamnet. If anyone is interested in taking part just pm me. I havent decided on a start date but i will start accepting entries now. i will start it after rules and guidelines have been decided on. Also if someone would like to help me out with the tournament feel free to stick hand up. One job is to hold onto a copy of the draw and entries incase of my pc crashes and also to act as a judge or to answer any questions if im away im looking forward to receiving your entries. darth_ramoth

I think it was acehtml 5 (the free version), im starting to rebuild it, but im going to use netobjects fusion 7 which i got for free from Australian PCUser magazine. The acehtml is available the company's website which i forget at the moment, but do a search on google. fusion 7 might be available for download but not sure darth_ramoth

I have a 9200 (128 meg ram) and it works well on my pc. Tho my pc is only 3 months old. Im running the game at 800x600 but i can run it at 1280x1024 with only a minor decrease in performance (just enough to detract from smooth gameplay), in 1024x768 mode it can stutter occasionally. My pc did set me back a fair bit, proberbly shouldve gone for something a bit cheaper but...i thought might as well buy something good then having to upgrade 6 months later. My specs are P4 3.2 HT, 1Gb ram, 9200 128meg, and SB live Platinum 5.1 running XP home. Anyway thats just my input...proberbly not really relavent.

I cant wait till KotOR II is released, i brought the first one and in the first week of owning i was averaging 4 hours of sleep a night...its one of the few games that could suck me into its story line. Needless to say within the first 2 weeks, i clocked it 3 times. And if the second one is better then the first (which i think it will be), then ill be preordering it. darth_ramoth

Ok im, back, pc problems and the birth of my first son have prevented me from being active for a while. But Im back now, My son Rowan is now 5 months old and sleeping brillently, i ditched the old pc and brought a new P43.2 Mhz with hyperthreading technology, 1 gig ram, 128 meg radeon9200 vidcard, and SB live platimun 5.1. But onto my site is now at a new location due to i had to go from a my isp's service to its paid service. It hasnt changeed that much but ive added a few new pages (photo, news, site updates, and a guestbook), and have sperated the XvT missions and XvT misc files. Its good to be back.

Due to to PC problems i havnt done the draw for the comp as of yet, i will get it up asap as soon as i find the backup of the list of contestants. sorry about the delay.

just a short update, my site will be down for around a day, i will post when its up and running, there will be a new address which i will also put in the post

yea, i would say you did your job right, i didnt use any of the models in the tutorial, i used the ingame DS2 which i heard rumors existed but i never took the time find it. So basicully all i did was just took the DS2 and copied it to the DS1 slot. But without your guide i wouldnt have had a idea on to where to start looking or the exact process on how to copy it over, so once again, thanks for the help

thanks alot Mask, Ive had a few pc problems lately and have been away as well, so i havent had much of a chance to download your tutorial but i just did and had a look at it and its easier then i thought would be, good work on the tutorial to, i found it easy to understand and pretty straight forward. once again thanks heaps mate

i agree with Jahled on this, i play the empire 90% of the time and i havent noticed any difference in the building time, except when im out of refined materials then it takes longer but that is the only difference ive noticed. And considering that both the empire and the rebels use the same buildings for construction/training porposes i cant see any real reason why lucasarts would make it harder for the emire to build/train things. I actually think if there was going to be a diffeernce in build/train time it would be in favor of the empire as they had a realtitive unlimited supply of slave labour to man these facilities which (IMO) would have made construction quicker. but thats just my line of thinking.

i know that seems a little silly just to have 6 on each system but that is a minumum, against the AI its alright, i havent had much of a chance to play agianst another person so most of my experience and stratagy is based around the AI, but i mainly have them there to assist in the detection of enemy missions. If the system is important to me i willl usally have some form of a fleet there which has its max amount of squadrons + the systems 6 fighters.

and something else i forgot to add is that i defend all my planets with at least 6 troops and 6 fighters (i do have the manage garrisons turned on but it doesnt always put 6 troop regiments on each planet). ok i think thats it from me now

well i would suggest moving your HQ (fleet/s and troops included) around when playing against a human player (even if it is within the same sector as this will help confuse the other player, also maybe you could try espoinage missions where the HQ is located to uncover the impending probe droid mission). I usually (when i play as rebels against the ai) withdraw every thing from the core sectors and yavin and concentrate my focus on the outer rim sectors. I always build at least 2 Genecores on every planet as its an effective way to stop invasions and bombardments. also the rebels have an advantage of the bothan troop regiment which have a higher detection rating then the others. thats about the only advice i have for you, i hope you find some of it usefull

hey all, just thought id start a new topic for this tournament, why...im not sure but it seemed like a good idea at the time (4:30am) , but i do plan on using this topic as the main tournament forum to announce the draw and other stuff once its up and running. I know i havent posted anything much lately but ive been pretty busy here with life in general, especially now that my girlfriend is pregent with our first child . Ok, time to get back onto the subject...i have 2 (3 counting myself) entrys so far...i would like more (hint hint ). the rules are as follows 1) no destroying of planets 2) general bombardment is not allowed 3) each round to start on the first of each month and games to be finished by the 25th of the same month (that way it gives you the time to play and me the time to draw the next round). Exception is december round will start 1st december and end 25th january to allow for xmas/new years holidays. 4) galaxy size and speed of game is open 5) Both players has to submit result. Information required is Winner's Name, Loser's Name, Game time, And any comments you may wist to add. 6) Any disputes will be listened to and unless a resolution can be agreed apon i will ask for a rematch to be played. So thats it for the rules, to enter its real simple email me (via the email button down below as it goes into its own special inbox on my pc) with the subject heading "tournament" and include your SWR name and prefered side (if any) and presto your entered . I would like to get this tournament underway in October so please have your entries by 25th of sept. i think thats it from me
