hey guys, just a follow up post about my little problem, i found another backup which is in great condition so i have replaced all the missing picture images, im also watching a couple of copies on ebay. thanks again all

ok i think i have figured out whats wrong, i was doing a bit of editing in rebed and discovered that half the pictures were missing. I looked in the edata dir and sure enought i only had about 16 pictures installed. I decided to try to manually copy the rest over from the CD and from the image file and well i couldnt recover them all. I am hoping that you guys will help me out by emailing me the missing image files. The files i am missing are as follows (these are all from the EDATA dir located on the CD or the Rebellion directory. EDATA 30 - 42, 44 - 46, 48, 51 -54, 56, 59, 64 - 66, 144, 145, 147, 159, 165. (i think i got them all ) There are a few missing, but i was hoping a few people could email me just 1 or 2 pics each it would make for a small email as each pic is about 80 kb . I have broadband so downloading them is not a problem. Thanks in advance

I had done that in the past, I made an image file of the CD and ran the game from a vitrual cd drive and that had worked in the past, the music wasnt playing properly from the cd but from the virtual drive it was. This is the first time ive had any graphic glitches from the game tho.

Ok ill sit down today and figure out whats missing. It seems to be when troops are deployed to a system and when imperial espoinage droids report in. Another intance ive noticed is when my fighter squadrons get back to full strength after a battle.

ive tried to reinstall it a couple of times, once was a simple reinstall over the top, the second was a clean install. i just a had thought, i might see if i can get the images off the CD and put them in manually. My CD is fairly old and a bit scratched which i think what has caused this problem, im keeping an eye on ebay for it so I can replace it, and im also running it from an image file to save wear and tear on the actuall CD.

hey all, i just reinstalled rebellion after doing a clean install of xp and now im having problems with some of the messages. they are coming up blank, just a black screen with the text being the only thing visable. If i open another message before it, it shows the previous graphics for the current message. here is a screen shot explaining what i mean about a blank message with only text.http://www.darth.ramoth.bigpondhosting.com/problem1.jpg. It does it for a few other messages as well. I had a look at the strategy.dll file with resource hacker and noticed in the bmp section that from 10100 to 10107 were blank. Any help would be appreciated.

ok, here goes, SETI at Home is a project centered around the SETI project (Search for ExtraTterestrial Intelligence). It was one of the first projects to enlist average people with average pc's to help crunch their work. The gist of how it works is this... 1. Sign up for the project 2. Download a free program called BOINC 3. Attach your BOINC client to the SETI project and crunch data taken from a radio telescope. 4. After completing the unit it will upload and start on a new work unit. The way this program operates is that you can dictate when it will work. ie all the time or when the pc is doing nothing. If you run it all the time it runs in the background and uses free CPU cycles to crunch the workunit allowing you to do whatever without it interfering with your work/gaming. Each workunit succesfully completed earns you "credits" and the more credits you get the closer you are to the top of the leaderboard. There are no prizes for winning just bragging rights Any other questions feel free to ask me.

I was thinking about it last night while trying to sleep and im wondering if my firewalls might have something to do about it, im running McAfee personal firewall plus and i just ADSL installed a few weeks ago and the modem has a built in firewall as well, so ill try disabling firewall plus and see how I go. Admiral, if i still have no luck could i email the card and preview pic to you and could you try to upload them on behalf of me please? Im thinking that if there is a problem with the cards or the pic you should get the error as well, or if it works for you then its something im doing wrong.

I havent tried since this morning when i posted about the new error message, so i'll give it a shot now and see how i go no luck still....might rework the card and the preview pic and see what happens

ok, now i got this error message; Star Wars: Rebellion [sWR] Card Submission File type not correct. Must be valid RebED cards with JPGs.

Speaking of Rockstar Classics, whenever I try to download GTA2 I get some error about trying later.. so if anyone succeeds in actually downloading it, please tell me. I got it to download. It's 12:20pm here (australian ESDT or gmt+11 is my timezone) so hopefully that little bit of info helps you out. its 353.1 meg so its going to take me about 1hr 50mins to download.

hey all, im trying to upload a new card i created and after filling in the details of the card and pressing submit, i get the following error message "No file specified or file outside guidelines". im just wondering what the guidlines are, im forgetting something but i dont know what thanks

i have a save game file that has 2 (maybe three) death stars in it. I altered the stats to 10/10, i used to have the file on my site, but currently my site is down until further notice. I can send it to you if you like just email me and ill send it to you.

just a breif note to let everyone know that my website is down untill further notice. Im expecting 2 to 4 weeks till its back up again, (proberbly at a new address...my own if i can convince my better half to it ). i will take this time to update it again and hopefully work on some unfinished cards while its down. Ive taken it down due to that i just got adsl (finally it arrived to my small town ) and my site expenseses was linked to my old dial up account, so once its back up i post it here.

this was just a once off thing that happened, and im putting it down to the settings i had in rebed, something i realized after i had posted the message. It just struck me as odd, and i was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them.

thats what i was thinking of, you could info on the planet the prisoner originated from, or maybe just find out info about the planet. You could take this further by allowing the use of bogus information (ie. leia when she said the rebel base was on dantooine). im begining to think that maybe i have to much time on my hands
