  2. Interdictors also prevent reinforcements from being deployed by the rebels within a large area around them.
  3. Wrong acronym... GFFA is what the New Republic became. It stands for the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. The X-wing evolved into the T-65XJ X-wing while the E-wing came to replace the X-wing in some roles and actually replaced the B-wing in some squadrons (Due to its large torpedo compliment) its of some debate as to what role each fighter plays in the GFFA navy.
  4. I've discovered the problem's source ;D and it actually isn't my fault. The Devs forgot to assign the fighter damage class to starfighters (Except for A-wings which are properly assigned.) Now that I got it fixed starfighters no longer are God units. Hopefully I'll have another version to release soon, I wasted a lot of time experimenting with increasing the size of the galaxy (Which caused a lot of UI problems.) Right now I'm working on putting all the planets in their proper places.
  5. You don't understand... If I increase the distance of a world beyond 300 in any direction the symbol for the map in the corner will be outside the map. It's kind of annoying to have little red, grey, and green dots floating around everywhere.

  10. Indeed... What I'd really like to see is a much larger number of planets, maybe make full blown systems with all the planets and even the primary star (Space Only... You could build a tiny space colony.) Then maybe spots along trade routes where asteroids or other debris is preventing hyperspace jumps from continuing. Just imagine how complex the strategy and battles could become...
  11. We only get 2 slots for space structures beside the Station which means you should be able to build 2 Shipyards... Am I right?

  13. Actually they don't, its possible for a unit to be destroyed by the loss of a single Hardpoint if they're modded with a really low Tactical Health Value.

  15. Did you mod the unit? Its possible for a unit to loose all its hardpoints without dieing if the Tactical health of the unit is greater then the combined health of all the hardpoints.

  17. Okay I've discovered today just what the limits are for modding the Galactic map, and well... there are no limits. If you place a planet well outside the original map area (-300,-300 to 300, 300) The scrollable area will simply increase, but. If you place them out of that area the dot which represents the world will appear outside of the original 2D map on the UI bar. Has anyone found the codes for this map. I'd like to make it so all the worlds remain within the box.
  18. Just for the hell of it I'll say my personal belief. 1. In the begining God created the universe and Natural Law. 2. Natural Law is designed to guide the creation of Intelligent Life. 3. From the point at which true Intelligence Life arises through evolution God delivers a moral framework upon which to build from and to prevent them from destroying themselves. 4. As the species begins to mature God withdraws to allow the species to mature on its own.

  20. Why not just make the DSII a ship unto itself so we could engage it directly in ship to ship combat.
  21. We can however have a planet have clear leanings. Some worlds can be set up to declare neutrality if you no longer have forces or buildings present on the world. I'd like to be able to take it a step further. I think for V0.01 of ROR I'll actually think about going in and replacing the individual worlds that are already in the demo with entire systems. Just image fighting over all 5 worlds in the system with Abregado Rae, or all the planets in the Mon Calamari star system.
  22. Ahh... We'll just have to scale them down then, or find a way to make the map bigger. I vote a combination of the two!
  23. Has anyone succeeded in editing the DAT files or decompressing them?
  24. Is it just me or are the mod teams going to have to scratch all their capital ship models... None of them are designed with EAW's damage system in mind where hardpoints are seperate but attached models.
