  1. I don't think I will make this mod / I really don't want to make the same thing like P-02 (I'm guessing). Btw we are going too much of topic... I will let our executive producer - Katarn - decide wich is the most easy to do mod betwen the two etc. The main problem with the second mod is that strating with only two factions is not too realistic not to mention that Earth will have only one map / per planet due to EAW limitations. Back to the topic pls.

Also thanks for accepting to be our executive producer - we have so much to learn from you. Off Topic: I'm always searching to create original mods based on new untold stories. Here is what I imagined this last week (*I had it written and stored in a file-lemme copy/paste): Matrix: The Human Return In Short: Back then when all seem lost in the battle between the 01 army and the human armies some human space ships have been sent in space before the final battle with the machines. These ships have settled after 400 years in space in another planetary system on a new earth like planet. The froze humans have awaken to learn the fate of the Earth and they decided to prepare for any situation. Their new government has decided to enable and speed up the evolution of humans so they will better face the machines. Two major improvements have been reached. Using the errors inside the cancer cell (It regenerates forever- really) the humans have evolved in an almost immortal race also their brains and bodies have been improved true new genetics. (NOTE: On the Discovery Channel last year it was shown that such a human perfect cancer cell tissue has been created and the lifespan of the cell was increased 400 times and the experiment was still going). Due to this developments the last versions of humans have become telepathic incredibly strong by incorporating all the DNA data from animals and since they cannot die and their brain cells also don’t die they have become super smart and telekinetic. Since the machines were expanding true the universe one scout has found the new human heaven and all hell breaks loose. The New humans and the machines start to battle each other and in the end they will try to free earth from the 2600 years rule of the machines. - and the story continues from here. - I need to know how thus this sound. It will be a gigantic conversion and it will take a minimum of 1.5 years to create with a full working team. After that I was thinking to a second mod and after a while I realized that I was planning the P-02 J loll just that I was calling it : Solar Age: The First Space War It will basically be a WW3 in space centered around the year 2138. And all the action will happen in our solar system....etc.

A topic like this would help so us newer mods know who cause trouble and so we know if a user has already been warned and the situation requires more action. I fully agree. Loked topics don't look good. Delete/Warn/kill the spammers !

  12. Hi Delphi, Here are the 5 questions selected by the community. And to be extra sure I added one extra. I hope its ok with you. 1.We remember hearing a interview from E3 about recording video from ingame. Exactly how will this work ? Will we be able to record freely or will it just be normally recorded and the user able to freeroam around it? Is this some sort of a fan movie tool? 2.We've been told that the game will be very moddable and use data driven XML files. Can you give an example of an entry in these files(such as the X-Wing)? Also how many files would we need to edit to put in a new unit? 3. Aside from having the tools to battle the enemy (moving your fleets around, building them, invading the planets, things like that), is there anything else that we've not seen yet? Something not as overt and aggressive like diplomacy, special ops, assassinations, etc? 4.Will the Stormtroopers sliding down from the AT-AT cost anything or are they free? Or is there a limit of how many Stormtroopers you can create from the AT-AT ? Also will Star Destroyers produce Tie Fighters during battles ? 5. Is there any information you can give as to how base building and expansion going to be handled both on the planet and for space stations? 6. How do bacta tanks work? Will you be able to place your troops in there during a battle or before/after a battle? Also how long and how much health will it give the units/vehicles/ships ?   14. The #3 question is a bit too general and we will get a simple and unclear answer. Especially that the 4th question is already replyed. #1 is way more clear and important. I may decide to veto the results for this poll and go number one instead. I know that Ismael will approve me. (Btw he is away for the end of the year since he changes city).

  16. I have to agree - but this rules don't apply to EAW. 1. The SW RTSs have such a bad reputation that almost all of the gamers don't plan to buy EAW. Its a freeking desaster if you ask me / I've been promoteing EAW on many sites and all that I got was sarcasm and stones. My only escape was that they were willing to give a try at something made by Petroglyph ... just that. 2. Even some fans have great doubts about it. JediIgor for example. 3. The EAW is comming out in February and most of the good RTSs will come out this year. The gamer needs to remember and plan to buy EAW. 4. All the gamers play demos and especially good ones. 5. EAW is in such a way structurated that you will know that you have just played a part of the game and not the hole game etc. 6. The last private demos at games conventions have shown huge positive responses from the people who played them ... but not the ones who just have just seen them. This is what I think they think about the demo. Btw I see you offline on the messenger - i got your invite - thanks. Also can you say some words in the NMA ? "hi" will do or some wisdom about the game industry and mods - if you will have the time. I'm sure that it will help.

  20. Well I will usually post this in the EAW forum ... but what the hell - This is a great news. I just hope that it will be released this month next to Christmas, then we will see how good this game really is and how moddable. Don't ask for official confirmations - there are none - - You will all just have to trust me. I mean the "Frog" is in the air ... it will have to land sometime soon. You don't design a "frog" to make it fly forever ... it will have to land sooner or later. Sorry for the froggy thing - loll - but its the best I can do to hint you .
