Some tips for Character card development: The characters "extra pic" should be done first. If it's done, you should convert it to bmp format using the palette. Only then, the status, on-ship, fleet pics. Be sure, that you are scaling the bmp format in photoshop for the smaller images (do not scale them in rgb, they will look blurry. The enc pic should be the last one. Open the "extra pic" (character before blue back). You must be in indexed color mode (bmp-palette). DON'T import the background in rgb mode, because it will cause all characters enc pic differing from another, since it would be converted again in bmp, even it's quality would be worser Select the background, and copy it(ctrl-c). Switch back to the extra pic. Select the blue territory (only that). Then select Edit-Paste into. Since the backs are in right size, Photoshop will place it propely behind your guy. There will be some pixels around your character, that will look odd before the background (like brighter pixels, or some blue pixels remaining from the previous stage). You should fix that, staying in indexed color mode pixel-by-pixel. Use the color picker, and the pencil tool for this. If you have any questions, just ask it here, and I will try to answer you.. Good Luck!
