  1. That EVE thing sounds interesting. Especially the anti-leveling system.
  2. You don't want to know... the country is split apart to the lefties and the righties as it is in every country, but here it is a bit different: the two parties and most followers do HATE each other (even in families). Besides, Hungary is the most gloomiest place in the World anyway http://www.phespirit.info/gloomysunday/article_02.htm http://ec.europa.eu/health/ph_determinants/life_style/mental/docs/Hungary.pdf And we make a good progress with suicide too: second place! (though I'm sure, we are first) Fortunetly, I'm not badly infected (ok I've just ruined the most positive swr topic ever) But make sure you supply me with enough quality jokes here, just in case...
  3. http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/8219/200808040418ir5.th.jpg http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/5905/2008080404182xg2.th.jpg Last night I had a visit by this little fella. I couldn't get a clear shot, but I'm still satisfied with this one, as he seems to be looking straight at me
  4. I guess Palpy was thinking forward, when placing Anakin in his new suit. Well protected against projectiles, but against his master he was woulnerable
  5. Holy crap! Agreed
  6. Wow Eagle, you've beaten me here. I wanted to post about Nasa aswell. That is why I wrote that "we have a lot going in astronomy" Just a little expansion, that is really interesting for all of us: NASA scheduled missions: http://www.nasa.gov/missions/highlights/schedule.html One of the most important missions (as I already wrote before): http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/hst_sm4/index.html Abd to be exactly on topic this time, the Kepler mission (!): http://kepler.nasa.gov/ I've also read about the Cassini mission. Saturn is my absolute favourite planet (fits with my zodiac too ) It's still a very hot topic, next target is Titan and then Enceladus. Both have great potentials
  7. Oh dear... Is the one with Potter photoshopped?
  8. This is great: "Rusty Ward asks Batman, The Joker and Catwoman who they're voting for at Comicon in San Diego. "
  9. DP. Guess Hungarian report would be: You have 2 cows. They hate each other and they hate you too. There is never any milk
  10. Wow pretty impressive! I've also found a really good and clear shoot of a UFO: Can't tell it's fake or not
  11. Those were great!!
  12. Ah yeah. Well, let me state, that I'm really into astronomy, I had a small telescope before, read books, knew all the northern constellations etc.. And as I looked into all the recent research about the possiblity of organic life in our OWN solar system (almost all smaller bodies have/had water or ice here, and some traces of other essential stuff that is needed)... and coutning in the size of our Universe (as you already made point) I think that is almost impossible that we are alone. And I really hope that we will find a lot of "interesting" things in the next 50 years (like thinking of all the possibilities with the next and last upgrade on the Hubble telescope: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STS-125) Besides, we have a lot going in astronomy (for example, the dark-matter research is really a hot topic now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_matter) , and the Galaxy gets richer with all those explorations day-by-day. A hungarian research goes global: http://www.space.com/scienceastronomy/080609-mm-extrasolar-moons.html So get your RSS link on atronomy, guys As a stuborn european (lol), I don not believe in any USA/Russia goverment conspiracy theories, and I'm quite sure, there are no visitations. These are just modern myths of some sort based on many sources (from fear to creativity). I have my thrust in the scientists. If they will find something, they will let us know (just think about it: The first dude who finds ET with proof will be the most famous name ever in human history.Ever!). And, alien civilization might come in handy for us with all the tensions raising again between new and old superpowers. I can't see a reason why any goverment would hide anything really. It's something that is getting people together (new universal foe or friend, no matter). But again, I don't believe in visitations, though I'm sure they're out there somewhere (possibly a lot of them). Good point, but as I wrote before, I think this is still in the field of astronomical research (and that covers a lot of things, not just huge lenses starring at nebulas) If there would be a huge UFO floating around somewhere in the Outer Rim (lol) that could be spotted from all around the world from different institutes and their telescopes. Maybe we would laugh about the first announcement and proofs (I don't think so) but if there is something, others can find it too. Getting spiritual with this makes things even more complicated. I'm not againt theories about aliens with telepatic skills, pure energy lifeforms whatsoever. But if we handle the extrateressial research with a statement like "mind over matter"... well I guess that's dead-end, and it does go back to things like religion (T. Cruise!!!! arghh) and esoterism. I don't think there is any need for that. For neat little first contact, we still need any scientific proof of their existence (witch is out there, I'm sure) Of course, we humans won't change. We want to have everything ASAP. The Galaxy is a rather (huge) interesting place, there's always something new..so... people are working on it, don't worry! Maybe our grandchildren (or their kids) will succeed with this exploration (so what? Disappointed? ). But I'm a dreamer too, I hope to see something of all this. (If we don't nuke each other out before that.)
  13. I've read somewhere that this guy has some personal interests in this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institute_of_Noetic_Sciences I would prefer a more scienetific DudE on this front. Edgar might be right, but it's more likely that he only wants to get some attention
  14. I've read somewhere that this guy has some personal interests in this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institute_of_Noetic_Sciences
  15. I had a feeling that you know the game Eagle "Presidente! You're people starve! Grow more food! Quickly!" gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSL6iQQYA4k
  16. X-wing!!!! (oh dear, I'm getting old)
  17. It's summer once more, so I'm having Tropico Gold installed again. Highly overlooked game from 2001. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropico It's a rare gem, guys. "Games based on Caribbean city-building have been created before, but Tropico was the first to be centered around Cuban Revolution and Cold War themes. The game is tongue-in-cheek in its presentation of banana republics, using a great deal of humor while still referencing such topics as totalitarianism, electoral fraud, and the interventions of powerful companies (United Fruit is implied) and the Cold War superpowers (the United States and Soviet Union). Tropico features Latin-styled Dominican music, largely performed by Daniel Indart. The game won the Original Music Composition category in the 2002 Interactive Achievement Awards."
  18. Maybe God created some life on Mars too. Plan B, Just in case we fail...
  19. Dino Riders!!! I love that show I even made my own little dinos off paper with all those huge rockets back then
  20. Gizka is getting REALLY close to it: http://www.team-gizka.org/wip.html
  21. Yupp it was a parody. Hungary doesn't have any monster movies, so we made one. The horny thing is a mutant-alien Hungarian Steppe Cattle I agree, CGI is not overused, it's abused. Lot's of rubbish we can see even in epic movies (mainly physic glitches). It requires some knowledge to handle this technic aswell. Jurassic Park was perfect, because they had a professional stop-motion director on the set.
  22. I'm visiting one of the greek islands this summer, possibly the former kingdom of Odysseus
  23. Harryhausen is God-Emperor I've made this trailer with my friend some years ago as a tribute: (video montage with stop motion monster ) It's extremely difficult to make it look good. We didn't even try Still it was fun. I've buyed one of his movies in Vienna. It's about some giant T-rex fooling around in the Wild West.
  24. So who goes, when, and where to? Or who was where, or wasn't and why? You get it
  25. Tofu... That was mean.
