  1. Hmmm...not sure, i think just stick with the Rebellion Reloaded, easy to say type and remember.
  2. It has its attractions, especially if you could put cloaking devices on the them and put them into orbit around a planet...sound familiar?
  3. Yeah, the grenadier thing is the basic idea now, it's supposed to replace the M16 + M203, but the idea was, "Wouldn't it be great if the entire squad had access to heavier weapons", they didn't stop to think about the practicalities.
  4. Well you'll know where to go for all your shopping needs.
  5. Yeah that's the one, you get it on mail order?
  6. According to the maps in the NJO books the Remnant is out on the rim, so after a while they would be able to build up their fleets again.
  7. Yeh, it's slated for 2008, but it's far from definite. They're called air time grenades. What happens it the laser range finder works out the range and trajectory, and actually programs this info into the grenade! Thus the grenade explodes after a certain time, which it knows will make it a set distance from the lased target. However, there are major problems with the package. It currently weighs in at around 14 pounds, compared to the usual 5-10 of other rifle systems. It's also going to be expensive, and there is debate as to who will get to use it. Originally it was going to be issued to every man jack of you good Americans (soldiers that is), now it seems more likely that each squad of eight men will get one or two between them. In many of the discussions i've seen we are actually disturbingly close to soldiers of the Starship Troopers and Aliens variety in terms of miniturised battlefield computers and equipment. Already bodyarmor that can stop a 7.62 round is common. Certainly the OICW is a weapon of great potential. Ultimately it's damn good fun in many games.
  8. I'm not sure whether you can or not. Perhaps that would be something for Rebellion Reloaded, or being able to gewt resources from destroyed systems, like you see in some of the books, where some pirates etc plunder the graveyard of Alderaan.
  9. Rebellion Reloaded sounds good, although you might confuse some Brits, like myself, who still think of it as Supremacy, however, walking in the footprints of our beloved Tony Blair (whom my Dad went to school with and BOY are there some good stories...) i shall bow to the Americans and plump for Reloaded.
  10. I have no msn, until next october. No fair. Internet and msn should be like air and water - freely available to everyone.
  11. Or you can read my review of Destiny's Way or Traitor in the reviews section. More to come soon. Don't be afraid to put your comments down in there too, i''d like to hear other people's opinions on the books i review.
  12. Get a grip man! You're no jizz wailer (Jabba's palace band) And from the sounds of it you're using spice. Don't you know that's illegal, Han Solo nearly got in a awful lot of trouble...
  13. And very good they are too.
  14. Interesting, i wonder WHAT ships you had as you did have a numerical superiority. Other than that i can't think why you lost.

  16. I quite like destroying an entire system with my Death Star(s)! Of course, you have to work on your diplomacy inbetween to stop your own planets going into uprising, but it does mean that your opponent starts to run out of places to hide.
  17. £7.99 i actually got it on special offer at Virgin Megastore - three for £21 or £7.99 each, so technically i got it for £7 because i got the Mephis Belle, and Dogma too.
  18. OICW/ SABR (Objective Individual Combat Weapon–Selectable Assault Battle Rifle) It's the gun that a lot of people are saying will replace the venerable M-16 family. It fires in semi, burst, and full auto. It was a built in scope, with variable magnification, nightvision, laser, 20mm grenade launcher, threat analyser and a motion tracker. That's what i've heard anyway. Bacsically it's slated to be the next generation infantry man's gun. And it looks good. Play ghost recon, dflw, sof2 to use it, there's also a mod for Operation Flashpoint to use one. And yes i am a gun freak, well, not really, i had to do some checking on the net.
  19. But remember that if you increase the number of guns on a ship even with the recharge at max it will severley slow you down. If you maxn out your guns, 32,000 of everything it really does slow you down, although you do get one shot kills. For those of you who want lots quick kills set your guns to 5-10k, that way they recharge a lot faster and still fire very strong shots. You may not take out an SSD in one shot, but you'll come close. That said you really would be taking advantage of RebEd in a despicable manner. At the most you should tweak the Mon Cal shields and the prices of ships, plus hyperdrive values. But you shouldn't really change much else if you want the game to be fair.
  20. Elvismiggell Lieutenant Rebels I want to be a Jedi! Can i? Can i please?!? Jedi - it's not a job, it's a life.
  21. I shall lend my strength to the Rebellion. The force is strong in this one mmm. Evil the Empire is, beaten it must be.
  22. Me thinks i shall investigate this 'role playing' malarky.
  23. Yeah, pcgamer, for us Brits, has got a big feature on it this week. It looks just a leeedle bit good.
  24. I see what you mean, so that we don't have to worry about getting the scale of prices right, aqlthough it would have to be something that could be adjusted o suite an individuals tastes. e.g. Before RotJ Star Destroyers weren't a problem for the Imps to build, but during the Remnant it got a little harder.
  25. Sounds about right. How about the longer a character is given a rank where it actually contributes, i.e. Admiral on a fleet where the fleet actually sees action, their xp's go up too. Kind of like the Jedi missions, where regardless of the outcome, their points go up.
