  1. Where is Scathane anyway? What ever happened to him? I've been trying to get in touch with him for ages.
  2. Well, since it is Star Wars, you could say it is a group of clones.
  3. it's an acapella group singing to various theme songs written by John Williams, about Star Wars. Its awesome! This is great. Make sure your sound works. SyberJedi showed this to me. Its about 5 minuntes long, and its worth it. You'll love it - and laugh to
  4. Hey folks, I'm afraid I am having the same trouble with getting the cards uploaded that you were having. I regret that I will be unable to upload your cards for you. Hopefully Evaders99 will be able to find the fix for it soon and then you'll be able to upload it. Manually adding them will take too much time on our part, but I will consider it if the issue is not resolved in a reasonable amount of time. I just don't like to tinker with the database directly if I can help it
  5. I have tested it out myself and it seems to work just fine for me. It could very well be a firewall issue. I believe it should work fine in firefox.
  6. Hey all, EvilleJedi had a great idea about how we can get a boost in IRC activity. He suggested we hold topic-based discussions at specific times on certain days. For example, at 8:00pm on such and such a day we host a discussion on the latest Clone Wars episode or on the latest LucasArts game. We plan on doing this and hope some will participate. What I would like to hear from you is feedback on what topics you would like to see as the base for the evening's chat (other stuff of course allowed as well) and whether or not you would be interested in moderating that chat that evening. Please post here what topics you would be interested in having the community discuss and if you would actually attend to such an event. Thanks for your feedback. This site runs on donations. Please donate via paypal to paypal@swrebellion.com. Thank you for your support!
  7. Hey all, We are trying to promote IRC use among users of our site. In the past 4 days I have had probably 2-3 users a day come on IRC in #swrebellion (irc.blazeirc.net) to chat and ask questions. We are looking for some IRC channel moderators that could idle in #swrebellion and answer questions about the game and rebed to assist our users with questions, and to promote IRC activity. Anyone who is interested post here or email me. Thanks.
  8. Thanks Evaders for your hard work in getting the boards integrated. Looks good!
  9. testing reply.
  10. Hey - your email address you registered with is not accepting mail from us. We are trying to respond to your email regarding the card. Please email the card to me and give me your correct email address. It does look good though stratus@swrebellion.com
  11. I am also aboard, and folding away.
  12. I decided to go with a new set of services that seem to have more functionality and better stability. We'll be trying these out. Come online and chat with us!
  13. Just a quick note - IRC Services crashed in an attempt to upgrade. Since most of your nicks were expired anyways, I am going to beta test a new set of services, that will eventually work with SQL - just some settings that need tweaking on our server end. They use XOP levels for channels by default, but they also can use access levels, as you can toggle xop on/off per channel. I have set a global no expire setting for services, meaning that at this time, no channels or nicks will expire while the setting is in effect (as long as we use these services.) So come and idle in the #swrebellion channel and eventually we'll have more uers idling there that everyone will be on and the network will be busy again and be worth my time in getting it going hint hint
  14. I would like to re-iterate and respark the fire that Evaders started some months ago on donating computing time to science (which requires little to no effort of our own). Now Nvidia users can add their video cards to the Folding@home project. We know you're not spending all that time playing games with your video card. Use its processing power for a worthy cause. I am not sure if its only nvidia card users that can do it but I believe all can. Im not sure. Its about folding/unfolding proteins. They have thousands of users across the world run a program called "Folding @ Home" on their computer that processes a strand of protein in the background (does nothing but use computing time) and sends the results to Stanford. This allows them to compute as many sequences as possible to help find solutions to fighting diseases. Its pretty neat. All you have to do is run the client in the background on your computer. Thousands of users across the world are contributing. The SWRebellion Network has a team going to try and compete with other teams. Please donate your computer's computing time, especially when you aren't doing much, you won't even notice it, and if you are really bored, you can watch it at work if you chose. The SWRebellion Network (http://www.swrebellion.net) team ID is 96904. For more information, visit the Folding @ home project website. 15. Oh my gosh! I just saw this post. That is very sad news indeed. Paul has indeed been a longtime member of this site. He was a friend of mine. That is very sad sad news indeed. I appreciate you letting us know. He will be sorely missed. My condolences and heart goes out to his family and friends.
  16. SWRebellion's IRC Services are provided by BlazeIRC Network (www.blazeirc.net) IRC Server: irc.blazeirc.netrunning Ureal3.2.7 IRCd and IRCServices 5.1.11 Get mIRC here. Hello gang, Sorry I haven't checked the forums. Evaders has enough on his plate to have to deal with IRC issues. In the future, please direct any IRC issues to me via email for quickest response - stratus@swrebellion.net. Here's the scoop on previous issues. (Connection Issues) irc.blazeirc.net was pointing to two IPs based on two irc daemons we had running (glacier.blazeirc.net, and subzero.blazeirc.net). When we got glacier up and running, I don't think we bothered with subzero and so it was to remain offline. Since it runs a different IP address, irc.blazeirc.net sometimes routes to subzero's IP, which is not accepting connections. That is why some users are having connection problems. I have removed the round-robin DNS settings for irc.blazeirc.net and it now points strictly to glacier. (Channel & Nicks Expired) Channels and nicknames expire automatically after not being used for x amount of days. (I honestly cannot remember). I just logged in and found that my own channels had expired, as I have not been on in a while myself. Fortunately, my nickname (and Evaders) are set for noexpire as I know the two of us have so much on our hands that we can go long enough without getting on IRC that our nicks would expire. I did not anticipate connection errors on main users that caused no one to be in the channels resulting in channel expiration or channel owner nick expiration (which causes the channel to expire also in many cases). I have since protected Uliq's main nick and it will not expire anymore. Please submit noexpire protection requests to me via email and I will be happy to oblige. Further problems, question, and requests, contact: stratus@swrebellion.net

  18. A year or two ago I deleted my stratus@swrebellion.com email account because of all the spam I so frequently recieved, and my computer's spam filter not being able to catch enough of it. I have since had several different usernames and still tons of spam. Evaders has had to change our main staff email account that goes to all of us because of the amount of spam sent to us countless times. About a month or two ago the SWRebellion Network secured online services from Google for Organizations. Thanks to Google, our email and a few other services are now housed on Google's servers. This has done a few things for us. One, it has helped reduce the amount of traffic on our server due to spam galore and other junk. Two, it has made it possible for us to remain spam-free. I have 740 spam messages as we speak, all of them in the SPAM folder, none in the inbox. We have all the features of gmail for our own domain, and no problems with spam. I now have stratus@swrebellion.com and stratus@swrebellion.net again and never get spam! It is amazing! Thanks Google for inventing such incredible technology! If anyone from this site who has been a member for at least two years or more and is interested in an @swrebellion.com email account, contact me.
  19. LOL Eagle - sorry. I rarely check the forums now because I am so busy - and there are so many posts to look at and choose from - I'm very selective now when I do have time
  20. I am doing a poll to see what kind of IM software is favored by our community. Please go to the main SWR.com site and vote on the survey. Please vote only once. You can post here which one you prefer and why you like it so much. I'll start. My favorite (as you can see on the survey) is Pidgin. (www.pidgin.im) - It is a open-source client (it used to be called Gaim) that can connect to Google Talk, AIM, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, Novell Groupwise, ICQ, IRC, MSN, MySpace IM, QQ, SILC, SIMPLE, Samtime, XMPP, Zephyr , and Yahoo!. That's a lot of different IM's. I didn't even put them all on there. If you use one not on the survey, post it or msg me so I can add it - because others might too. I can't believe how many are out there - but Pidgin (works on Linux systems (which means Mac as well) and Windows systems. Pidgin is free software. It is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2. This means you are free to use it and to modify it, but if you distribute your modifications you must distribute the modified source code as well. I have enjoyed it for the past few years, even when it was the older software called Gaim. So what's your favorite IM client(s)?
  21. http://groups.google.com/group/stratusclub Hello everyone. The Friends of Stratus Club has been launched via Google Groups. This is for all of those of my buddies who I have RP'd with in the past whether on the SWSim, SWCombine, SWCIC, EOTIR, or wherever - join up for a group discussion on remembering old times, reconnecting with old friends, etc.
  22. Sorry EV, couldn't resist - I thought everyone would get a kick out of it
