dw333 Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 the model isn't the problem, its an importer thats the problem! there are also 80 planets now, this is about the max you can have without heavy stutters/lag!I did have over 100 at one point but the game couldn't handle it! Juggernaut1985 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Sounds like a problem of memory leakage. The game willslow down alot after a while for no reason, but when you save and load up again after exiting the game, then its fine.

dw333 Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 you change the text data with a data editor, find it in mod tools in sticky! you can edit remove or add new ones! typical options, however to get them to stay you have to use SAVE AS and overwrite the file. save will save it but wont make it work in game for somereason, so USE SAVE AS! You could even offer the player some different versions of one and the same hull, considering that the Strike-class was known for its ability to be easily adapted for any mission objective. So there could be one variant for anti-starfighter combat, one for anti-capship combat, one as a carrier ...Too bad it seems impossible in EaW to modify a single ship between it's missions.
