basic screens of galaxy and new units without models, since we cant add them yet

there are more units added this is just a few for screenshots

wow nice that looks like a big Galaxy, u gotta love the Ewing its my favorite fighter, cant wait till someone makes a model for it.

the model isn't the problem, its an importer thats the problem!

 

there are also 80 planets now, this is about the max you can have without heavy stutters/lag!

I did have over 100 at one point but the game couldn't handle it!

You spelled Dathomar wrong, its DathomIR. and its Xa Fel, and its Gamorr. its Jomark. Other than that, looks fine.

I will correct spelling errors and reposition planets...when i get to it!

 

please remember, no star wars map shows all planets in the same area, so putting them in will never please everyone, however some do need to be moved...

BTW dw333 how do you change the encyclopedia data for the new names.  I can't figure it out, where that file is.

Ah cool, I was just about to ask whether you were going to put the planets in the right positions or not, cause places like Thyferra and Dantooine are way out of wack...but if it's to be gotten to later then it's all good.

you change the text data with a data editor, find it in mod tools in sticky!

 

you can edit remove or add new ones! typical options, however to get them to stay you have to use SAVE AS and overwrite the file.

 

save will save it but wont make it work in game for somereason, so USE SAVE AS!

That's nice dw, but which data file is it?  I can only find creditstext.dat and mastertextfile.dat, which doesn't contain the encyclopedia entries.

well i'd suggest adding that to your information at the top post and i'd change the name, civil war makes u think of ep1-3 for some reason :P

Why the Galactic Civil War was more of a civil war than the Clone Wars. Those traitorous rebels splt from us and attacked us for no reason.

Will you include the Strike Cruiser, too? Thats the one unit I'd like to see most in EaW, even more than the SSD.

 

You could even offer the player some different versions of one and the same hull, considering that the Strike-class was known for its ability to be easily adapted for any mission objective. So there could be one variant for anti-starfighter combat, one for anti-capship combat, one as a carrier ...

Too bad it seems impossible in EaW to modify a single ship between it's missions.
