Cain's ( i hope he isnt waiting for my galaxy) or mine (Civil War)?

 

I would say tht i will have civil war ready for its first release sometime this week or by trhe end of the weekend.  If i didnt have to go to work, im sure it would be done now! ;)

 

My galaxy w/traderoutes is 85% complete.

 

Star Wars Civil War is 20% complete.

First release will be only general editing (general gameplay and all misc space files), galaxy, and all space units (all changes and new units).

ground (changes and new units) and heroes will be next release!

Yup we are waiting for the galaxy :) Keep up the good job.

 

Can someone tell me when the Mod will be realesed  ???

 

We also need the GMP ready before I start fully on this :)

I'll finish the galaxy today/tonight then (sry working on adding the new units, ALL (well except misc like preybird, cloakshape and other misc fighters) of starfighters (see below) are in and working.  When i get off work and finish them, i'll pm the files (planets, traderoutes, and master text file is all i think).  let me know i forget some files sometimes and have changed 30% of the total game files) to you, expect them around 4-7pm today.

because we cannot add models, i have to reuse models, the 'a-9 vigilance interceptor' is from dark empire.

 

i just used the a-wing as a base model for the a-9, since they are both interceptors!

almost done with the planets correct positions, though some might be slightly out of position, to allow for the fleets and names to all be usable. will work on trade routes next, these are easy though!

you have to reuse current ones space and ground until a map editor is available. the best you can do is match maps to planet /system types.  ie forest to forest, urban to urban, astroid to astroid, etc...

Lets add the new renamed variants a bit later so we will have two versions - one with the most improvements but with the same units like EAW and one with the new units ... I am a bit busy with work stuff even in my free time - so I will go with what you guys decide. Edited by Cain

Hey Cain, I think your idea rocks, and just wanted to know if you still needed any more help with anything, the researching of the information, or any of the maps from the NJO books.

Cain, can you tell me/us an estimated release date/week/month for version 7.0 ?

 

I can't wait to get my hands on it !

This is a great idea. Can yuo post some screens? And Cain, are you still doing Reloaded for Rebellion?

 

Ohhhh - long story / My main work on SWR is PTESB (see my sig). I only worked on 1-2 cards on SWR Reloaded before moving on RTW and now I am on EAW. I am a bit unwelcomed near relaoded because I criticised the poor management that has created a mod that is WIP for 5-6 YEARS now. Personally I am a fan of releaseing working versions than waiting for the gold.

 

For Zaarin  try the demo - I didn't had the time to fully port it to the full version.

Btw after I get the galaxy from you ( Pls use the SWR descriptions for the planets - the new ones I mean) I will try to make my self some time to mod.

 

Also pls. remaind me to change the Warlord name - It seems too limitated.

Mhmm, "Duel of the Grand Admirals"? But I guess that one is too long. :(

I have to say, I'd still favor "EaW: Warlords". It's short and simple, and perfectly describes the mod's content.

If you name it "Grand Admirals" people might think the mod will include all GAdm's.

Hm ... or how about "EaW: Thrawn's Pincer"? Would be a nice innuendo towards both Thrawn's Interdictor-based tactic (which had been given this name) as well as his campaign against Zaarin.

 

By the way, Harkov was "only" an Admiral, not Grand Admiral.

Since we're on the topic of grand admirals, Zaarin was definitely not a warlord. He was a traitor to the Empire, he helped the Rebels, he didn't go off on his own and carve up a little portion of space  :). Grand Admirals sound good to me. Just because they won't all be playable doesn't make it a bad name -- LucasArts said all the Star Wars galaxy would be playable and they were wrong, hmm?
