Moriarty101 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 An SSD for starters then a Death Star that has ship targeting capabilities. Tie interceptors, tie advance to balance the fighters. Elite Spec. Forces divison both Empire and Rebels. Mercenarys for hire besides bounty hunters (special capabilities) rebels might need them. Jabba's sail barge to celebrate my victory over the feeble Rebels. The one thing you guys have not mentioned a CLOSER RELEASE DATE. All It Takes For Evil To Flourish Is For Good Men To Do Nothing.
Foshjedi2004 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Executor class SSD... Over-rate-ed *clap clap clapclap clap* Over-rate-ed As long as the A-wing and Death Star don't get the last minute axe I'll be happy. But I guess if we're dreamin'.... In game I want a Eclipse class SSD heading a battle group of 4 Soveriegn class SSDs, 7 Executor class SSDs (its still an overrated class), 75 ISD Mk.III, 14 Indedictor class SDs (you know, the gravity well ones), 100 Victory Mk.II SDs, 50 Lancer class frigates. All of this using a Death Star Mk.II as a jumping off point. If I could muster that force, I think I could die a happy gamer. edit: oh and I want the fleet's ships to have their full compement of TIE squadrons (Primary fighter being the Interceptor, but some Defender squadrons would be in also. Also upgraded TIE bombers would be availble), stromtroops, and ground assault assets. uuuuuuhhhhhhhhh............groans I'll have no chance. 5 ships with the DS superlaser and a DSII. Umm....Houston We have a problem. I resign. RUN AWAY!!!! http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
Moriarty101 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Nothing wrong with retreating. Live to fight another day. Just come back when those forces leave. All It Takes For Evil To Flourish Is For Good Men To Do Nothing.
Teradyn_pff Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 They probably wont leave. That is the type of force that chases you home from the playground, kicks down your door and steals your lunch. My Death Star is bigger than your Death Star!"The XML is strong with this one!"http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/0/teradyn.png

Swiftdraw Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 The reason I have the Indedictors is to have them as picket ships outside the main fleet to drag anything trying to hop in the midst of the fleet back into real space. This would give my fleet enough time to assess the situation and act accordingly. In the case of the Suncrusher, the act would be to jump out ASAP untill a viable solution and/or counter becomes availble (such as pitching it down a black hole.) An indedictor and it's Victory escorts are easy enough to replace, but a Eclipse or Soveriegn would be a grevious loss indeed. I'm now teh lurker.http://miniprofile.xfire.com/bg/bg/type/2/swiftdraw.png
Foshjedi2004 Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 I would just continually do the Thrawn Pincer against the enemy. You need to read the SW Thrawn Trilogy or X-wing Isards revenge to understand this move. It is an ingenious use of the Interdictor. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa197/knivesdamaster/tags/sith_omguserbar_member.jpg
