Admiral-Beef Posted April 18, 2003 Posted April 18, 2003 ok, i haven't played rebellion for about 3 months, up to last night that is, anyway, last night I was playing against a friend. He was the rebs, i was the imps. so i invaded Mrisst, which had several construction yards, then i left and sent my fleet to another planet in that sector which intelligence told me had many shipyards, so i obliterated everything on the planet (not the whole planet though, my death star wasent done yet) after i was done, i noticed that he had taken back Mrisst, so i naturaly sent the fleet back. After looking at what he had, i regreted it, he outnumbered me 2:1, and this fleet had all of my imperial star destroyers. so i did as much damage as possible. (we use rebed to allow some ships to be shared, one of which is the star destroyer, and the nebulian b) i took out somewhere around 2 of his star destroyers and damaged all the others but 1, so only 1 star destroyer could leave the system until they are repaired. i lost my fleet but, i did alot of damage in the process, and btw this was an early battle, we each had less then 20 ships, most being support craft. and the reason i didn't run is because he had 3 inderectors and i had none.
SOCL Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 What a sec, we can share ships from the other side? Well, damn! . . . wait a second, would I have to replace some ship to be able to do so (for example, if I wanted to use the Rebel's Nebulon-B frigate, would I have to have it replace one of mine?)? If so, well, I have yet to figure any of that out . . . but if not . . . how the hell do I do it? SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
TK421 Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 Talking about Avaters... Alpha, it's nice, but quite large. SOCL, it's nice but it is *way* too large! Is that to make your posts look larger (and more important)? You can simply share ships with clicking the checkbox for both Empire and Alliance Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
Jahled Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 Good call TK, guys your avatars are both way to large!! But just before I hop in the bath I went clickerty on photoshop and did some resizing: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0QADeAj4SLjWP*BxSbbn92PhQdivOf7I9QuiPD!lfInEqMgSQvTHd!ZAP5hp6rR140Sk3S2kBx*w9FZbIqWhLWUPoIWhIH6Kkqo7eAhxw3hg/8915.jpg?dc=4675418409702386329 http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RADeArEUQNJbItVS0ejNz8GFGjxF!maQ3aydHYW*qcUgg4DnI2TqzlO9peDeZe7!xiETbGq3fgFwGmGqm52e9PZRTK7M3p8XOBezvoX!czs/pubimage.jpg?dc=4675418409620564021 Copy these images and rehost them from your own webspace, because they ain't going to last long on mine! http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Trejiuvanat Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 SOCL use REbED and check both Can be built by: Rebel and Imperial. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
SOCL Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 Thanks, Jahled . . . whether I shall use it is a different story entirely. And, no, TK, I do not use such a big avatar to make my posts look neither longer or more important, I simply like the picture. Okay, so the using of Rebel and Imperial ships on both sides can be done without sacraficing ships on either side. And I use RebEd to check some box, but my question is: where? Jahled Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 ..if you open the capital ships bit from the main RebEd menu you will find two little boxes underneith a heading 'Can be built by' which will already be defaulted for one side. For the Imperials to be able to build Corellian Corvettes for example, tick the Imperials as well. Unlike the characters you will not loose another ship! Woo-Hayy!!! http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

Admiral-Beef Posted April 19, 2003 Author Posted April 19, 2003 sorry guys, i like my aviater the way it is... makes me feel important (plus i couldn't figure out how to make the pic so i can use it)
TK421 Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 Naturally. You should do what you must. Or do what the community (in the shape of Admin) like Z'anthr saves the world. Sorry about the mess...
SOCL Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 Well, have you seen my new one? It's HUGE! If someone (coughJahledcough) could make it smaller for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I got the editing thing working! At last I have Corellian corvettes, Nebulon-B frigates, and Corellian gunships on the side of the Empire! BRUHAHAHA! Of course, I had to be even about it (i.e. give them the ability to use the same amount I now use of their's), so I gave the Rebels the ability to use Galleons, Star Galleons, and Carrack-class cruisers. Sounds like a even trade, doesn't it? Of course it does. By the way, that is indeed a very nice avatar, Alpha! Jahled Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 No worries mate, deal with this how you see fit! http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0QwDdAmwUkb1bItVS0ejNz*86XFPFMlH3!E!!XQPuorfPmttydWD5upcAgSTmKK*XsR2zTmQZw!T15doRVhTluKRWxrNj4hd1Xjj7ZDl5VkQ/pubimage.gif?dc=4675418464644746941 http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Jahled Posted April 19, 2003 Posted April 19, 2003 sorry guys, i like my aviater the way it is... makes me feel important (plus i couldn't figure out how to make the pic so i can use it) Whatever, but one thing it's doing is corrupting the layout of the forums you post in by m a k i n g t h e m w i d e r, it's not such an issue i'm personally bothered with, but if you start posting every where (hope you do, more active members the better!) you're avatar is going to shag every forum you posty in. I had a look in the properties of your avatar and unless that's your own web site you're leeching it, which may well come back on you. If you don't have your own web space i'll host the image I resized for, being the kind old soul I am. Just right click on the image I posted, copy the url address and blaugh blaugh blaugh you know what to do, dude... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

SOCL Posted April 20, 2003 Posted April 20, 2003 SOCL, could you email me the larger version of your current avatar? Um . . . sure. It's been sent, but may I ask and know why? SOCL: Putting the BE in BEAK.Read the Forum Rules - Welcome the New Members - Rebellion Reloaded -
Guest Scathane Posted April 20, 2003 Posted April 20, 2003 Sure. Jahled has made the picture smaller to make it a proper avatar, but the pictures unsharp. It thought I could change that, but I can't...
SOCL Posted April 20, 2003 Posted April 20, 2003 Sure. Jahled has made the picture smaller to make it a proper avatar, but the pictures unsharp. It thought I could change that, but I can't... Oh, well, thank you very much, Scath! The thought counts more so than the product (no offense, Jahled, I thank you as well for the product)! Thank you very much for trying! Trejiuvanat Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 I suppose the Rebel will very much appreciate the Star Galleon and GAlleon and Carracks. Couldn't you just give them an Impstar... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Guest Scathane Posted April 22, 2003 Posted April 22, 2003 I suppose the Rebel will very much appreciate the Star Galleon and GAlleon and Carracks. Couldn't you just give them an Impstar...What are you taleking abaout, Ttejiuvanat???!!!
SOCL Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 I suppose the Rebel will very much appreciate the Star Galleon and GAlleon and Carracks. Couldn't you just give them an Impstar...Well, I wasn't that rude to the Rebels. I gave them the ability to use Victory-class Star Destroyers (Mark I's, to be specific). By the way, I was trying to change the "Imperial"-class Star Destroyer in the game to Imperator-class, but RebEd didn't allow me due to too many letters. Is there a way around this? Guest Scathane Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Mask has a plug-in on his website with which you can lengthen characters' names. May it works for ships as well. Maybe yoiu could aks Mask... (there's a link to his website in Web Links )
the_mask Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Use the second one, that simply replaces the dlls with ones that have more space for character names. It doesn't allow to have bigger shipnames yet, that would be in the next version, that will be released whenever I find the time to work on it You can do this on your own quite simply as well: open textstra.dll and edit the length of the shipclasses there. You have to click on the compile button, before you save the dll. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5183/animated9pn.gifhttp://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://www.swrebellion.com/images/banners/rebellionbanner02or6.gif
