If you do go to a Texas beach Mad, go to South Padre Island. It's a 60 mile long barrier island National (natural) wildlife preserve. The beaches there are pristine :D:wink:

A mate from middle-england told me that he probably won´t be able to leave his town untill tomorrow. Because of the overflooding.

Interesting. I´ve uploaded a vid on youtube about a Warhammer 40.000-Mod which has been viewed now for over 1000 times. Star Wars related vids of myne didn´t even made that in half a year. :)

Well, I'm not from Texas... hehe.. but yes Eagle, I'm currently somewhere around the area... I'm hunting me some DarthTex

EDIT: My previous post was 1337! A truly L33T event!

Now that is a bloody big ship! 8O

It's supposed to have 10 kiloton nukes going off under that giant shock absorbing blast plate, so yeah it want's to be big.

The book is pritty interesting. The US Government rounds up a whole bunch of the best Sci-fi writers they can find to try and figure out how to combat the aliens.

They also armed the ship with these sort of deployable self destructing gamma-Ray lasers. When the X-rays from the nukes going off hit the devices it would set off some kind of reaction that would fire it's laser.

1) Beware of what you wish for JH, ... the hunter may become the hunted

2) besides, it's not "DarthTex" season, it's football season

Ronny Reagan had those as part of his SDI (Star Wars) program back in the 80's :D

Driving Under the Influence of Awesome

Um. The dudes at WETA made a Warthog. I don’t mean that they made a big plastic thing that looks like a Warthog. I mean they built a fully-functioning, four-wheel steering, powerful, off-road vehicle with a machine gun on the back. At the correct scale. If you live near Wellington, New Zealand, you might even see some crazy machine-shop dude from WETA fishtailing around your base, ahem, I mean neighborhood.

What’s it for? Well, a couple of things – one of which will be one of the shorts coming from director Neill Blomkamp. We sort of blindsided you guys with the first short (Arms Race) – it had little to no context or explanation, but when you see it as it was originally intended – as part of an overall narrative, you might just pee your pants. And if you don’t, then the picture below will certainly cause some leakage.

Goddamn. It’s a Warthog.

God...

Damn, I can't believe it's actually a Warthog.

I want one.

Oh yes! :) Now that looks like fun!

I scanned my work in National Geographic this afternoon:

Clicky for biggerization

I'm seriously proud of this btw, if you hadn't noticed!

Also: Looky here what the Ministry of Defense have just ordered, TWO of them! :)

The design continues to evolve but CVF is expected to displace 55,000t to 65,000t, a size between the USA's 100,000t Nimitz class and the French 43,000t Charles de Gaulle class aircraft carriers, and three times larger than the 20,000t UK Invincible class carriers.

What with the new Astute-Class submarine and the Type 45 Destroyers, which to quote:

In an interview given to Warships International magazine, former First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Alan West was quoted as saying, "I have no doubt the ships will be the best destroyers in the world".

Oh yes!! :)

8) J; I need to take a moment and just "flip through" my NG to look at your pic. I've been quite busy, and it's right there on the counter wanting to be read

Impressive stuff! :)

I guess we guys have to budget our combat reality, we simply can't afford to field anything like your super carriers. Loosing one during combat would be an economic disaster, for the MOD.

Nice one J.

Anyways, I'd just read an article the other day about the new Brit Aircraft carrier. Something to the effect that some in the MoD were trying to derail the entire program atleast according to a retired First Sea Lord.

(Is it Sea Lord, or First Sea Lord? )
