Losing my Star Wars virginity

We are all so used to knowing the movies - but read this article about a BBC-reporter seeing Star Wars for the very first time - very funny:

And I know that today is the big celebration day - but I want to remind everybody that it's also "Towel Day" (yeah, use the force of Wikipedia) in memory of the great Douglas Adams! :(

Asteroids do not concern me...

I know another SW-virgin. Just a couple of days ago as we talked about SW he just said that SW is crap. All were shocked and asked: "How can you say something like that? Have you ever seen one of theese movies??" He said yes. And we: "So? Which part than??" He wasn´t quite sure. All he knew was that he just switched to it when the movie was just on and found that it was crap. But he couldn´t remember which episode he´d seen. So we told him that he may have seen Episode 1 or 2, which has nothing to do with the original trilogie. So he said that he may watch it, when it´s on tv again. So tomorrow "TESB" is on television and I think I will remind him.
Who cares at all?!

I love the comments on there..

Important plot twist here, I predict - Darth killed Luke's dad

Evil Darth is going to inject Princess Leia with some harmful substance. I thought American drama 24 invented this tactic - someone turns up with a silver suitcase full of syringes every five minutes on that show - but apparently it was all the rage in the '70s too.

He's hearing Obi's voice in his head, with another reference to the Force being with him. It's the 491st mention of the Force so far (I may have lost count somewhere in the middle, though).

Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.

Love the whole thing.

One of Darth's special strengths is the ability to choke people from a distance, without touching them. He's just done that to a power-hungry man in a uniform during some kind of intergalactic board meeting. "Don't mess with me" was the message there, I think.

I find it difficult to believe the Beeb found someone old enough to write an article but has no idea what Star Wars is or indeed anything about it.

Funny article. I'd be interested to see how his commentary would read for ep V and VI.

In more ways than one. Thank you vaginaplasty!
