In ANH infinities the torpedo blew up beofre reaching the core of the DS. It did enough damage to prevent the superlaser from destroying YAvin. Leia and the key personnel on YAvin tried to escape but were captured by the Empire. Leia was brough tot Coruscant and there she was trained to become a dark Leia. In the TESB infinities.
