Also, one must take into account the "type" of engine being used. A high bypass engine mixes in more atomspheric air with the exhaust to "cool down" the exhaust temperature. Besides, the IR signature is just another wave-length of light, so depending on what wave lengths the "invisibility cloak" is designed to conceal, IR might be surpressed as well Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Â Well... ok.. first.. its a hypothetical... based on this:Back in the day.. and even possibly still going on today... the U.S. would have realistic video games made based on our military technology.. such as a Jane's Combat Simulation type games (F-15, Longbow, etc.) and enemies of the U.S. would actually buy this game and use it as a reference since it had detailed schematics and specifications on our missiles, aircraft, etc. So the enemy now knew thanks to this game that if they had a base 8 miles inland that an allied ship couldnt just launch a tomahawk missile at them as they were now out of range of the weapon. Of course this is supposing that the game didnt have "misinformation" on it... or old data. But, this is what once happened in this world.. and is possibly still going on today... just because its sold only in the U.S. doesnt mean some person is not going to come here buy it, then take it back to.. oh.. Defender_16 Posted October 3, 2006 Share Posted October 3, 2006 I got the game T.A.W. Total Air War for Christmass one year. (I did NOT ask for it.) In it you can fly the F-22... and only the F-22. There was litterally every combat aircraft in use in the world durring the 1990's in this game. Could you fly any of them? No.  Did the F-22 have any Stealth characteristics in the game? No. (Though the range at which you could be detected was half that of other enemies. ) Did the thrust vectoring do anything? No.  Could you switch back to missiles after using guns for a bit? Heck no. (Jeez, I couldnt even figure out how to lock-on half the time.)  Could the fighter in the game take on anywhere near the number of 4th Gen aircraft that the real one could? Not a chance.  There's an example of classified information at work for ya. lol    [...][...][...][...][...][...] x Many Um, JH. Just wondering, but what's with all of the "..." 's lately?
