Although this is Pondo Baba's blaster pistol, I am wondering as to what the the name of this blaster pistol is... the Hoth Rebel Blaster Pistol (it's the same but with a different grip).

Does anyone know of the name of the blaster pistol used by the troops on Hoth? :)

Thanks!

p.s. here is the DL-18 -- some people think this is the gun that was used by the Hoth troops

Can't see the picture unforunately. From memory it was a modified Blastech DL-18 blaster, but that's only from memory, i'm not at all certain.

I also think it should be from BlasTech. I can look into the 'behind the magic' cds, maybe there's some description.

Yeah, i've seen the pic now. I'm fairly confident it's a modified DL 18. New handgrip, custom scope, plus flanges on the emitter nozel, presumably for cooling. Pretty hard to draw from a holster though.

The grip sucks...looks like a rubber hose connected to a very deadly blaster. Not a very good design...especially with the addition of those flanges.

Just my opinion.

I would like to know the name of the rebel blaster pistol (doubt it's a modified DL-18 cause it was standard issued) used in the Hoth battle.. it looks just like the blaster I have pictured, except that the grip is different. If I could find a picture of the actual weapon then that would be a slight step in the right direction too.. but alas :?

DL18 has a rounded handle, fat at the bottom, and thinner at the top.
