Perhaps Darth Vader can go off plagued by guilt...before arriving back, his commitment to the Empire more resolute than ever, or Palpatine on a visit to some Sith site to do what ever Sith do at Sith-sites (and i'm not on about a web-site), perhaps returning with a Jedi-Holocron...making him more powerful....mumble mumble http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif

The Imperial Emperor, seeking seclusion from the termoils of galactic civil war, has found respite on the famous golden sands of Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The menacing, robed-presance of absolute evil lies beneath a beach-umbrella meditating on the fathomless mysteries of the Dark-Side of the Force, whilst one beedy-eye remains ever vigilant on the young, semi-naked female beauty's dancing past him... 'Captain!' The Emperor scowled, 'Tell me how our latest initiative against the rebel vermin progresses!' He commanded, as if some sound forged in the anvil of darkness primordial. The resonance of the Emperor's words seemed to cause a sudden shadow over the lush lull of the beach, the infinitude of the breaking waves momentarily seeming to gnaw at the shore with melignant ill-will... A beach-ball landed near by the hapless Imperial Officer; he lurched nervously from the Imperial sand-citadel his dark-master had ordered him to construct near the twitching toes of his dark-majesty, and saluted unaware he still held his sand'spade. '...err...very well, my lord! Our Imperial Commanders are reporting overwelming successes against the rebel-scum. Jahled reports the destruction of an entire rebel fleet over Danuta without a single casualty. Elvismiggell reports a similar victory at Sluis Van, with half his personnel on shore-leave! The_Mask suspects he may have located the hidden rebel base in the Sluis-sector, and has sent out Imperial assault shuttles to drop imperial-daisies on the misguided populations.' 'Excellent!' Rasped the Emperor. 'And what news from Lord Vader?' 'Well, following his humiliating arrival on the ISD Snowdrop, where the cream of the Imperial fleet narrowly escaped execution at his hands; Vader has assigned himself to important intelligence activity in the Blue Oyster Bars in the star system, San Francisco...' The Emperor slurped on his cocktail; 'Emmm...i've never known Lord Vader to persue an assignment with such conviction....' Nearby a palm tree wilted and died, dead leaves landing suddenly and rudely on startled sun-bathers. The Emperor chuckled fiendishly; his officer gulped uncertainly. 'I like this world! Remind me to commission it as a chemical research facility!' Suddenly the Emperor shot forward. His eyes glowed. An expression of anger engraved itself on his face. He gasped, startled; 'I sense...the presance of the force!' He shuffled, 'Eh?' ...damn right you do! Luke Skywalker thought, his face lashed by ocean spray, his face the very picture of determination. Beside him, Han Solo readied his blaster as he skillfully balanced himself on his surf board. 'None of this daisy crap is going to keep me me from our date with the Dark-Side,' he roared, 'let's nail this guy once and for all!' Luke couldn't help but perform a dramatic flip as he neared the beach. Lando spun into a wave and disappeared. Leia won applause from the Ipanema-beach crowd as she led her squad in by performing a 'thrice-loop, tripple-roll, surf-'clutch' maneuver, with most of her squad remaining on their boards. In fact, I think that of all characters (excluding Leia), I've had Luke detect Chewie as force sensitive the most. Han always Kills them before they could capture him. Damn him and his Corellian luck.
