Grand_Admiral_Thrawn
Although I'm pretty sure I'd rather be a Sith, I went through Knights of the Old Republic II with a white ("silver") lightsaber. I just found it appealing. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all. Trejiuvanat
Multicolored? Black? I've always wondered if you could make a black lightsaber (well not exactly black, but like those ultraviolet lamps).  Blue-cyanish for me. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Aenivae_Ikeda
DOn't think you could have a black lightsaber because there is no natural black light "I saw the greatest minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical, naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix." -Allen Ginnsberg, "Howl"
Krytos
Well, I fight for the light  So, blue and green are always cool - though I like to be unique, so when ever I play Jedi Knight games I go for orange http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
bobandrubert
black light? it has to do with the crystals
Aenivae_Ikeda
I'm aware of that, but if the crystal was black you wouldn't be able to produce a light with it because it's black, kind of like you can't hit to solid objects of the same mass and density together and expect them to go through each other. kaja
Green for games, Teal if I could have any color, and orange for being Sith guys. http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s152/Dave-Mastor/Cluster6.jpg
Aenivae_Ikeda
Lets turn this into a dual poll shall we? Have the lightsaber colors and which side of the force you would prefer. teukros
Oh poo. You had to go and ruin it. I had chosen red, but I would not be a Sith. I would not give in to anger. I would not allow myself to become addicted to using the Force. I would not be consumed by it. So I guess that by default I would be a very gloomy Jedi. And I suppose that I would choose white for my saber's color. Put an overpowered Solar Ionization Reactor in between two cheap-ass engines and a couple of laser cannon, put a chair with a rudimentary flight control and targeting computer on top, and surround the (unpressurized!) pilot with enough armor plate so he doesn't fry in a tenth of a second... riiiiiiiiight
PHSYCOBOB
Sith, KOTORII, I used orange and later on silver.. I think I like Orange best.
Paul
I would be a Sith of course. My saber would be whatever color the crystals made it be! - Grand Moff Conway
Colonel_Olorin
ya know that kind of yellow colour you get around a bruise when it heals   oh and if ya didn't guess i'd be sith. it's always much more fun being the bad guy
Aenivae_Ikeda
Well I for one am proud of being a Jedi, I'd much rather make the world a better place filled with justice and purity, as opposed to going around ruining someone's life just because their opinion differs from your own... Sith have cool powers but they blow in terms of theories and morals... So yeah, I'd rather be a champion of the force than a tool of the force. And the yellow lightsaber color because I think it just has a more calm feeling than blue and green. teukros
Hey Aenivae, you forgot to include pink as a choice for lightsaber color! Aenivae_Ikeda
Lmao thats pretty funny, unfortunately after seeing that movie all pink coresca gems were destroyed, so no pink lightsabers, sorry. >> "I saw the greatest minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical, naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix." -Allen Ginnsberg, "Howl"
teukros
I'm just loving the whole concept of lightsabers as fashion accessories. Colonel_Olorin
Well I for one am proud of being a Jedi, I'd much rather make the world a better place filled with justice and purity, sure justice and purity may not be high on a sith's to do list but aren't they tying to make the universe a better place from their point of view? as opposed to going around ruining someone's life just because their opinion differs from your own... Sith have cool powers but they blow in terms of theories and morals.. the sith would say the same thing about the theories and morals of the jedi . So yeah, I'd rather be a champion of the force than a tool of the force. i thought the sith looked at the force as a tool to be used and not to be used by.jedi look to the force for guidance and help so wouldn't they be closer to being tools of the force ? Aenivae_Ikeda
A jedi abides by the force as something to be respected and not fooled around with whereas the Sith are consumed by it, and thus become a tool of massacre. I feel that a Jedi, if they lost the ability to use the force, would still fight for their beliefs, whereas if a Sith lost the ability to use the force, they would simply diminish. That means that the Sith rely on the force, a crutch if you will. Anyways, I don't fully agree with the teachings of the Jedi, or the Sith. I think that in order to be a true Champion of the force you would have to find a balance between the two. I mean you require the sense of justice that a Jedi would possess, but you would also require the strength and ruthlessness that a Sith would possess to enforce that Justice. So neither side is truely correct, this is an amendment to my earlier statement. Stellar_Magic
Well... We now have a philosophical debate gearing up. Have any of you ever read the Sith code? It's actually kind of strange considering that nothing in it screams out I am evil!!! You could obey the code and not be evil...strange no? A sith is the champion over the force, he controls it, uses it, and doesn't give in to its direction and guidance. It fights the flow. A jedi is a tool of the force, the force works through him, and guides every one of its actions. Moreover a jedi doesn't attempt to sieze the pure power of the force whereas a sith does. Ergo...the Sith is a Champion of the force and a Jedi is a tool of the force. Aenivae_Ikeda
Give me twenty four hours to make up for the fourty eight hours I haven't slept, and to think up a good arguement... As soon as I know that I'm right I'll get back to ya "I saw the greatest minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical, naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix." -Allen Ginnsberg, "Howl"
Trejiuvanat
Stellar has a very valid point, the Jedi is the one who allows himself to be guided by the Force. He can exert slight control over it, but it's still the Force that guides them. (Faith as a very important part of Jedi mythology). Â A Sith is quite the opposite, the Force is for him to use. For him to master and twist for his own purposes. I'm not sure Champion would be a proper term, but it fits them (technically) better than it fits the Jedi. Â Stellar, where's that Sith Code you spoke about? You happen to have some excerpt? Where can I find it? (Or is the Sith Code imbedded in all of Lucas's contracts and Terms of Services? ) http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Aenivae_Ikeda
Okay I was wrong, I admit defeat. I was biased in my opinion, and was just saying crap about Sith. So yeah Stellar you're right, but still I'd rather be a Jedi than a Sith. teukros
Well the Sith will try (to be masters of and not mastered by) the Force. I was wrong late, very late, last night when I implied Sith = Force addict. Neither Jorus nor Joruus C'baoth were ever Sith, but Joruus C'baoth was a Force addict. Nevertheless I would imagine, that since Sith do not make as big a deal out of being calm and emotionless as Jedi, and since they will resort to Force use in circumstances where Jedi would not, that they would be more at risk of going down that Dark Path.
Stellar_Magic
The Sith code from KOTOR Peace is a lie, there is only passionThrough passion I gain strengthThrough strength I gain powerThrough power I gain victoryThrough victory my chains are brokenThe Force shall set me free Sounds almost like an American motto Forum and RPG Membership:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/StellarMagic01/RaporaWarsTC.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/StellarMagic01/RaporaWarsRPG2.jpg Signature:Sufficiently advanced technology would be indistinguishable from Magic. -Arthur C.
