Kinda like some gigantic teardrop in space that magically hasn't solidified, and then filled with all the girders and everything etc...?

Soalmost like what i said, but in an enclosed force field containing water, so that they don't have to worry about the vacuum, i think i see what you mean.

Hadn't seen you for a whle around here Swarmer. Anyway, didn't the Mon Cals live in those floating cities and weren't they more adapated to live on the surface? As far as I remember Ackbar did just fine with just making a place moister.

And by the time of the Thrawn era, the Rebels controlled enough shipyards. Sluis Van, Kuat? Duro, and others.

Another thing isn't the pic of the shipyard the same for both sides? I don't htink the imps should have ocean-like shipyards. 8O

The idea was nice though, perhaps for REb II custom shipyards for custom planets... Mon CAl shipyards, Sluis Van shipyards, Duro Spacecities. Esseles, Coruscant skyhooks and shipyards.... :)

Sweet dreaming. :D:cry::D Too bad it's only a dream.:(
