Well, should we have regular X-Wings, or XJ X-Wings (one of the last ships to be researched, may I add).

As for me, I'm going to remain neutral on this specific question... You're the people we are making the TC for, you should decide! :)

The regular X-Wing is fine. But it's legendary. Get the new one so the Rebels maintain their advantage in starfighter power.

If you have the XJ wing which two Reb ships would you start with?

A-Wing and B-Wing. They are the most used specialized fighters of that time. Later X-Wing and E-Wing. But both of them don't have ion cannons, so there is still need for a serious bomber. Good balance I'd think.

But that's 25 years after Yavin, almost 20 years after Thrawn.

Besides, what does the XJ look like ? I haven't seen a pic for it yet.

If it looks the same then the negotiations will be short

Basically it had new systems, upgraded weapons engines etc, but still look just like the classic Xwing.

Yeah.

A-Wing

B-Wing

Research:

E-Wing

Incom T-65## X-Wing (we could use the J of XJ version or come up with a new name for our model that's between the old T-65 and the T-65XJ)

Either that or the A1, the ones that were originally sabotaged by Keuller, they would fit with the time period quite nicely.

NO. We need an updated model of the xwing, by the time of Thrawn x-wings were much better, their engines and weapons in particular were more eficient, so they were faster, had better rates of fire, and needed less maintanance.

None of which made them look all that much different. I agree the stats should be different, but how does the model need to be changed?

Exactly, i'm probably arguing this in the wrong forum. What i'm saying is leave the pics as they are. Change the encyclopaedia entries and the stats to reflect the fact that it's been heavily upgraded. :)

Exactly Untimely. But we would need to specify exactly WHICH model we were calling it, just for the sake of completeness.
